@PipTed
Yes! I have movement in my teeth- esp the back one. I had a check up as felt it moving.
I couldn't have an x-ray obviously... Dentist then said I may need it out but didn't want to see me until after baby's born!
It has given me a bit of grief this week!

NaomiB79 · 05/09/2020 12:52

@footprintsintheslow yes this is my first baby. I might just phone my midwife on Monday and ask if I'll need more scans etc rather than wait til I see her. It's a good thing you'll have a few more, I think if they continue to grow and are much bigger than their gestational size they will probably suggest inducing us early, that's what happened to two of my friends xx

chubbyhotchoc · 05/09/2020 12:53

@Kj1010 I could feel lumps in mine and ended up at the breast clinic for an ultrasound, it was fine though

Snowwhite2020 · 05/09/2020 13:25

@NaomiB79 how did your friends get on with birthing the babies and were they as big as had been expected? Sorry don’t know many other people in this position xx

Snowwhite2020 · 05/09/2020 13:28

@Dee96 I haven’t had rib flare but plenty of lightening crotch! I know what you mean about wondering how we will get bigger... did you have a head circumference measurement of above 97th percentile? That’s the only measurement they’re bothered about in terms of birthing the baby according to the midwife. They’re not bothered about length or weight because in her words “everything else squishes” haha! Is this your first baby too? X

Kj1010 · 05/09/2020 13:37

@chubbyhotchoc yeah I think for how it feels it's to do with pregnancy as wasnt like that before will keep an eye though being pregnant is such a worry in other health conditions aswell isnt it and doesn't get any better wen baby born coz then u have all different worries lol

NaomiB79 · 05/09/2020 14:11

@Snowwhite2020 one of my friends had a section in the end which was planned in before her due date but it wasn't just the size of the baby that was a factor she had other complications. My other friend tried to deliver naturally but then had to have an emergency section and the third delivered naturally absolutely fine, having been told her baby would be about 10lb she ended up being 6lb 6oz! I don't think they always get it right with the scans based on her experience xx

Snowwhite2020 · 05/09/2020 14:48

@NaomiB79 thanks for the info :) there’s a fair range of experiences there and amazing your friend had been told she was having a big baby and the baby was only 6lbs!? How can they get it so wrong? Xx

Babyhope98 · 05/09/2020 15:10

Has anyone started leaking wee sometimes when they walk around? I feel like I have to walk around holding it in sometimes, I get scared it’s my waters 😂

PipTed · 05/09/2020 21:02

@Jwl45 yes, I’ve had to see the dentist too and been told to wear a mouth guard. Need a check up in jan, once I’ve had the baby to investigate the damage! Glamorous.

lc86 · 05/09/2020 23:07

@Snowwhite2020 I was told all along on last pregnancy baby was big, always above 90 percentile.. went for a growth scan and they told me she was fine and was all waters.. she came out 9lb 13oz. I got to 9cm and then had to have a caesarean, there was no way she was coming out naturally!! I have a growth scan for this baby at 32 weeks but won't be taking too much notice of it tbh as last time they got it so wrong!! xx

Coffee123123 · 06/09/2020 09:56

@NaomiB79 Hi Naomi. Yes keeping well thanks. Not too many aches and pains and I was lucky to only have a handful of bouts of morning sickness early on. Had a midwife appointment the other day and was reassured to hear baby is on track size wise and healthy heart beat. Hope you’re doing well so far too.

@Dee96 I’ve started getting rib pain too just like you described. Doesn’t seem to bother me when in bed or on my feet but more so when I’m sitting. Especially in the car. Midwife says it’s most likely baby’s head pushing up in that corner.

EithneBlue · 06/09/2020 09:56

@Babyhope98 Yeahhhhh. That's a thing. I also have to concentrate incredibly hard when I sneeze so I don't pee everywhere 😳😂

excitednerves · 06/09/2020 11:07

@nearlyamummyof2boys that’s shocking. That’s not a question you ask a pregnant woman who has been through something traumatic. If you don’t know the answer, go away and ask someone senior/specialised. How awful. I’m glad you’ll be seen by lovely specialists.

How are you settling in to your new home? I hope the move went well.

I’m back for my second consultant visit on Thursday. The first one wasn’t amazing so I’m hoping it better once I start to get more familiar with her.

excitednerves · 06/09/2020 11:27

I’ve been feeling exhausted this week, it’s like it just hit me at exactly 27 weeks. I’ve have ligament pain, tiredness, I have a stye. Maybe at some point I’m going to accept that I can’t do everything I was doing before pregnancy!

nearlyamummyof2boys · 06/09/2020 12:11

@excitednerves we're still in our PILs 2 bedroom bungalow (with our 1 year old!) while we wait for the house the vendors are buying to go through!

A night mare as we can't buy anything and I have less then 2 months - at the latest - luckily my SIL is buying bits and bobs and storing them in her garage for us! Just ready to start nesting now lol!
I hope your new consultant is nicer ❤️

I'm definitely struggling with pee lol having had a baby before as well not sure whether to wear discrete pads or not might start now.

Am off to do a hospital bag shop today does anyone have any good off the lists tips they've read

Welcome @Coffee123123

nearlyamummyof2boys · 06/09/2020 12:21

I don't know if anyone is on twitter but @PregnantScrewed is fascinating and makes you realise how much we've been forgotten about I hope they manage to make some changes before we all give birth!

@StephRae how are you and the girls? X

nearlyamummyof2boys · 06/09/2020 12:22

I meant that below as a twitter handle not a MN handle sorry!

A petition to allow fathers at the birth!

lc86 · 06/09/2020 12:27

@nearlyamummyof2boys I can't believe they still haven't changed it.. you can go to a pub all day with anyone, yet can't have your baby's father in the hospital next to you.. I'm dreading it 😟

nearlyamummyof2boys · 06/09/2020 12:38

It's crazy @lc86 I gave birth to my first alone, my partner was working away, and was so looking forward to having him at this one! He wants to be there as well they're missing out on a lot I think it's going to take a toll on all the fathers.

lc86 · 06/09/2020 12:42

@nearlyamummyof2boys yes I agree, they've already missed out on all the scans that weren't private etc, and I hate the thought of being alone until they consider me in active labour! Praying that it changes in the few months we have left. And then they aren't allowed to stay long after which just means us mums are going to be desperate to leave hospital earlier than we should xx

excitednerves · 06/09/2020 13:09

@lc86 totally agree on being desperate to get home sooner then we should. I was in for 5 days last time, would have been awful without my husband. Plus siblings can’t visit either so I’ll be worried about my little boy if I’m kept in this time too.

lc86 · 06/09/2020 13:23

@excitednerves my girls have already asked how long I'll be in hospital for, be awful if they can't come and visit their baby brother 😥 I would totally understand it if you couldn't go anywhere and was still total lockdown but everything else is 'normal'
