Checking in!

@lc86 that's an amazing image 💓

I can't seem to sleep more than a few hours: always wide awake from 5am. Regardless of how exhausted I am. I feel like death warmed up most days- I guess it's just preparing us for the baby!?

I had my first dream about our baby last night- he came out talking! And he was a he....!
We've not found out what baby is and I really think it is a boy.

I agree with others about movements - some days it's a disco in there and other days it's like nothing at all.

@Pinktruffle don’t you worry one bit about being judged for reduced movements. All midwives will tell you that it’s better to be safe than sorry! In terms of your notes that will be there purely because regularly reduced movements do unfortunately put you at higher risk of something going wrong. Based on that alone if you do get worried it’s even more important that you get checked out so please please please don’t ever think twice about calling!

@Kj1010 so sorry to hear about your Uncle 😞 I lost my grandma a month ago. It wasn't unexpected but we were pretty close. It's sad my little girl won't get to meet her.
Oh I'm definitely at the 'eating for 2' stage! 😂 I was weighed at my midwife appointment this week and thought "Christ I've put on a lot" but the midwife wasn't worried!

@Kj1010 I’m sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you and your family are ok 💐

@chubbyhotchoc @Jellycat2020 I also have an absolutely insatiable appetite! It’s a bit scary but I just can’t stop.......... X

Sorry to hear that @Kj1010 sending love!

@danielasummer I definitely have quiet days and can't say I've noticed any pattern yet!

@Pinktruffle I get terrible nose bleeds to the point I'm sick as I choke on the blood at the back of my throat - horrible!

I'm also finding I need to pee all the time but then I'm not peeing much when I do - similar to cystitis. But I think it's just baby leaning on bladder.
We've moved and our staying in PILs house on the most uncomfortable sofa bed with my DS sleep is a struggle - it's his 1st birthday today though and glad we made down for that!

I was so excited as I had an appointment at my new hospital then had a call from them on Thursday to say I never showed! But I said my appointment was Friday there was no way I would book it for Thursday as we were still in London - they've got me down as a DNA and I have to wait for a new letter for an appointment so frustrating as I'm high risk and am meant to be scanned every 2 weeks!

Also just a side note - I've just got my DS some new vests from next for his birthday and I have to say they are the best I've ever had him in.

Sorry for long post 🥴😯

@Kj1010 Sorry to hear about your uncles passing. Thanks

I'm glad it's not just me that can't seem to stop eating 🤣

I'll be 30 weeks on 23rd next month which is my birthday so I think me and my DP are going to treat ourselves to a 4d scan as it seems such a long time to go with no scan at all and then this is a nice little half way mark! I have found a deal with the people we went to before for a newborn photo shoot once the baby's here which I quite like the thought of!

Excited as I don’t feel much movement just the odd flutters from time to time.

I am 25+2

I wanted to share my new purchase I know we have mentioned these lots.

Amazon £35.
Total of 12 bottles.

Reassuring to hear about your experiences with movement and nosebleeds. I'm feeling/ experiencing the same

Does anyone have days where their bump feels heavier and more uncomfortable than others? I'm 23+1 with baby 2, I don't remember it being like this so early on with DS 🤷🏻‍♀️

@loobeelou I do! But I'm a bit further on than you - just over 29 weeks. I went for a walk last week and literally felt like I was waddling and was very front-heavy, then the next day, quite light.

@Babyhope98 yep mines back today I seem to have a day on and a day off so I will be drinking lots of milk tonight so today oh took me out baby shopping and I have managed to buy all I need clothes wise for baby so I have like 12 baby groves and vests 2 packs of socks like 4 hats a coat 2 blankets plus a pram blanket that's just the new born stuff so when I get paid I'm gonna get my prep machine and start on the nappies creams wash etc and make a start on next size up as I really dont think they need more than that at first and I no my sisters have brought proper outfits

@danielasummer We're advised to monitor from 24 weeks here but I'm almost 28 weeks and can't say I've noticed a pattern yet. There's definitely quieter days but I do wonder if it's just because I have more on some days and don't notice them.

Also really struggling with sleep this time. Waking up countless times and my 3yo has also started to wake up randomly some nights so between one or the other, I feel like I'm awake half the night 😴😴

Thanks for the new thread. @Kj1010 sorry to hear your sad news. I’ve started suffering from back ache again, and I’m finding doing any housework totally knackering. I also have days where baby movements are crazy and others not so much but I have an anterior placenta so not too worried and never to the point where I feel like I’ve had reduced movements. 27 weeks now.

Due Nov also. So 29 weeks +1. I have noticed a pattern- particularly if my daily pattern is the same.
I do worry sometimes and find lying on my left side helps ..
My current worry is I woke up this morning on my back! This has really worried me as I've read we shouldn't sleep on our backs.
I know I went to sleep on my left side... Woke several times due to dreaming .. still on my left side.... So when I woke this morning flat on my back... I was worried.
I'm hoping I wasn't on my back for long .... Anyone else done this?

Anyone else getting lightening crotch pain? AKA stabbing sudden pain that feels like the baby did a head stand/ jab in the cervix!!? Not pleasant :/

Report
Babyhope98 · 30/08/2020 22:39

I woke up last night and she was really going for it, so may be why she is quiet sometimes during the day 😅 it’s like she’s doing a full stretch as I feel it on either side of the bump at the same time 😂 as for my heartburn nothing is doing the trick today drinking milk yoghurt, gaviscon touching it slightly going to have to stay away from trigger foods tomo 🙄

I got bad heart burn last night as well for the first time. I thought that was going to be one pregnancy symptom I skip seeing as I already drink so much milk 😅

What week do they consider 3rd trimester? Every website I go onto seems to say different!

Report
confused107 · 31/08/2020 08:29

@jwl45 I wake up on my back often. The NHS website says that so long as you go back into your side before you go back to sleep that's ok, so I'm trying not to worry about it and using a pregnancy pillow to make it harder to roll onto my back

Report
nearlyamummyof2boys · 31/08/2020 08:40

@Snowwhite2020 I get it loads! Must be baby hitting a nerve or something? I didn't have it at all with DS I find it happens a lot when I'm moving around.
