@Babyhope98 exactly the midwife I see asked if I felt any movement yet and said to starting counting monitoring movements from 28 weeks

Babyhope98 · 03/09/2020 09:50

Anyone developing achy legs one of my calf’s is killing 😏

nearlyamummyof2boys · 03/09/2020 10:29

I'm definitely noticing it's harder now!
Much more tired and uncomfortable - also finding movements more harsh!
I got the fright of my life last night - I had terrible cramps exactly the same as how my contractions started before! Turned out to be food poisoning I was violently sick and then was ok!
But made it so real and realised how I can happen anytime now!
Finally seeing someone at my new hospital tomorrow!

NaomiB79 · 03/09/2020 10:30

Hey all I'm looking for recommendations for changing bags if anyone has any? I still need to tick it off my list of things to get!

NaomiB79 · 03/09/2020 10:39

@nearlyamummyof2boys I was violently ill last night too - after a take away - so wondered if it was also food poisoning! Came out of nowhere a few hours after I'd eaten! What a strange coincidence that we both had it!

peachypetite · 03/09/2020 11:03

@NaomiB79 I started this a while back www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/3964610-Best-changing-bag

confused107 · 03/09/2020 11:25

Thanks for the chat link @peachypetite We were given a 'free' changing bag with our travel system, but I kind of have my heart set on a really nice rucksack. It is a little 'unnecessary' so I'm thinking of asking for one for Christmas

Pinktruffle · 03/09/2020 11:58

@NaomiB79 we got a Pacapod in the sale from Mamas and Papas. It was originally £110 and we got it for £66. It's great has a changing mat and one insulated pod for bottles/food, an insulated wrap for bottles and a changing pod with little slots for nappies, wipes etc. This is the one I got

DH picked it as he wanted one he would be happy to carry but I'm really pleased with it, its lovely quality.

NaomiB79 · 03/09/2020 12:25

Thanks @Pinktruffle and @peachypetite, much appreciated, I'll take a look at the links you sent.

Jwl45 · 03/09/2020 13:38

@NaomiB79
Same here. I have seen a few really nice ones on Amazon.... Thinking of going for those. Rucksack type ones that can be put on pram

chubbyhotchoc · 03/09/2020 14:01

I've got this one. It seems really nice quality. Dh bought it for my birthday as it was a bit pricey

Pinktruffle · 03/09/2020 14:04

That's very nice @chubbyhotchoc, very similar to the Pacapod Staunton too. I wanted one like that but DH said it was too handbaggy (which is what I liked) and he wanted to be able to carry it when he takes the baby out.

danielasummer · 03/09/2020 14:13

@NaomiB79 similar to @Jwl45 I was looking on Amazon and found these ones that I'm sure DH would be happy to wear too - www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07VG63TXG?ref=br_ADD_TO_CART_title_link&coliid=I3RV8F6JFTKZZ4&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&colid=3A4NIPUU70Z83

Both reasonably priced too!

Unrelated, but there is some absolutely gorgeous stuff in Sainsbury's. I'm totally in love with these sleep suits

Due end Nov/early Dec - Hello third trimester!
jalu47 · 03/09/2020 18:27

Seen that La Redoute has a really good sale on and lots of nice stuff.

@Kj1010 - I think we are the same due date and I've hit 18lbs already Shock Bit worried about what my final gain will be!

Kj1010 · 03/09/2020 19:41

@jalu47 I think so 13th dec? I'm trying my hardest to gain minium weight so just eating for 1 lol and trying to keep bad treats to a min

Amyyy1 · 03/09/2020 21:22

@confused107 Think I have those ones as well! I picked up loads in Sainsbury's☺️

Does anyone else's baby go crazy when you're having a bath? As soon as I get in it's like she's break dancing 🤣

lc86 · 03/09/2020 22:05

I've gained nearly 2.5 stone and only 27 weeks!! How are you all keeping your weight gain so low? I feel huge now after reading all yours 🤦🏼‍♀️

chubbyhotchoc · 03/09/2020 22:14

@lc86 it's very easy to put weight on. I've put about 1st 6lb on and that's with constant calorie counting and never going over 2000 a day. Everything I eat seems to land directly on the scales. It really depends on what your bmi was to begin with. Mine was a bit over so I really should gain 25lb max but I think that's going to be difficult at this rate.

Amyyy1 · 03/09/2020 22:25

@lc86 that's about what I have gained so far as well! I was starting to panic reading everyone else's how low they all seem compared to my weight gain 😅 I am going to mention it to my midwife at my 28 week appointment next week and see what she says

NaomiB79 · 03/09/2020 22:43

@lc86 I've gained almost 2 stone already. I mentioned it to my midwife as I was worried it was too much as I was prob 2 stone overweight when I fell pregnant but she wasn't really concerned. She said not to worry too much about it as my BP and blood test for diabetes etc have all been fine. I'm 30 weeks tomorrow so hoping that I'm no more than 3 stone up by the time she arrives!!

lc86 · 03/09/2020 22:47

Thanks ladies.. now isn't the time to be worrying about dieting I suppose 🙊 xx

danielasummer · 04/09/2020 06:20

I've gained 2 stone and I'm just over 26 weeks. I'm eating healthy meals but not so healthy snacks. I'm not worried about weight gain, my BMI was normal before pregnancy, I'm just thinking that breastfeeding and walks will help me shift the weight post-baby but if not then I'll do home postpartum workouts on YouTube. 🙂

loobeelou · 04/09/2020 06:52

I don't think weight gain is just based on how much you eat, it will also increase depending on the size of the baby and how much fluid you are carrying. Also bigger boobs add weight.
