No naps when I’m at work unfortunately 😆 I have got iron tablets from the doctors i have been fancying red meat too so maybe body is struggling for iron at the moment? @MrsSmith2020

Defiantly is tiring wish I loved cooking like some but I find it a chore and now that I’m so tired I really am struggling 😂 @MummyShark97 becoming a takeaway queen Blush

Babyhope98 · 30/09/2020 11:24

My fingers are defiantly chubbier more so in the morning it’s mainly on my right hand lol

Jwl45 · 30/09/2020 11:24

@MummyShark97 My rings are off! We had some really hot days a few weeks ago and I got into such a fluster trying to get them off, they've stayed off! They live on the bedside table for now. ☺️

MrsSmith2020 · 30/09/2020 11:43

@MummyShark97

Anyone wearing rings noticing problems getting them on and off now?

Think I'll have to take my wedding/engagement rings off permanently soon!

How many weeks are you? I'm dreading this problem!
MummyShark97 · 30/09/2020 11:46

@MrsSmith2020 31+4 dreading taking them off till after baby comes too will feel weird without them!

You're about 10 days ahead of me. Hang in there. We can do this!!

NaomiB79 · 30/09/2020 12:15

With you all on the rings and exhaustion! My rings have been off for months, my feet and hands have been really swollen for most of my pregnancy.

I was prescribed Iron tablets a few weeks ago as my blood showed low iron levels but I'm not sure they are making much of a difference. I'm shattered all the time just now and it seems to be getting worse. I'm 33 + 5 now so not long to go, then I'll be shattered due to sleep deprivation 😂

Kj1010 · 30/09/2020 12:27

Hiya all I get the sleeping exhaustion I've just woke from a nap first time in a few months had a rough night last night and this getting up and to work for 5.30am is hard I really wished I took maternity now for half term but again need the money and trying to to do it as late as possible currently 29+3 weeks we are doing our house up aswell just separated our boys room as they at a age where they need there own space 20 n 16 then we doing our girls room up and the rest of the house so its fresh for when little man gets here can't wait to be able to chill and relax for a bit be heaven

MummyShark97 · 30/09/2020 14:42

@MrsSmith2020 hope I can hang on a bit longer !!

Just to let everyone know Next has a sale on and a lot of the baby clothes are half price 😊

kkr168 · 30/09/2020 17:43

@MummyShark97 I took my rings of a few weeks back, they were starting to get tight & I didn't want to risk waiting & having to have them cut off.
Thanks for the next sale heads up, although I really need to stop buying, this baby will never have to wear the same outfit twice at this rate! I popped into m&s earlier & left with a christmas themed sleepsuit!

peachypetite · 30/09/2020 18:47

Ooo off to check out next. I have a bad backache. But surprisingly I’ve been sleeping much better the last few nights, maybe baby has changed position because I’m not constantly needing to wee and not waking up during the night.

Jwl45 · 30/09/2020 20:41

Has anyone had broken veins around ankles? Well actually, the one ankle. ..🤷🏼‍♀️ There's so many by now my ankle looks like a mess of bruises.... It's horrible and I'm really self- conscious about it.

peachypetite · 01/10/2020 03:00

I jinxed myself after saying I had been sleeping well I woke up at 2am for a wee and can’t get back to sleep.

PipTed · 01/10/2020 09:37

I had a really tough week at 29 weeks, was so fed up and couldn’t imagine 10 more weeks. I had back ache, was tired, couldn't sleep and to top it off I had a pulled ligament in my side.

Hang in there if you feel like that, it gets surprisingly better! I think it must be a point where the baby has a growth spurt or something.

I’m 32 weeks today and feeling much better - the tiredness is still here but figure it’s because our bodies are working much harder now and the baby is piling on the pounds. I’ve found just grazing throughout the day helps with energy and reduces third trimester sickness, as well as that awful uncomfortable feeling after a big meal.

My hands aren’t too swollen but noticed my face has changed again. 🙈

Babyhope98 · 01/10/2020 11:30

I went for my midwife I am measuring below the 10th centile annoying as they plotted me wrong on the graph before and she said I should have gone for a growth scan last time. Not pleased hopefully I’ll get my scan soon

MummyShark97 · 01/10/2020 12:10

@Babyhope98 Awh that is just so frustrating I hope you're okay.

I was plotted below 10th then went for a growth scan which put me on the 90th!

Think the tape measure just doesn't work for me!

Though surprised at 5ft1 that my baby is on the 90th... maybe long legs or something!

OP posts:
Babyhope98 · 01/10/2020 12:13

Hope that’s the same for me I’m 5ft3 so not that tall but at private scans she’s always measured a week ahead and two for her legs so I’m confused hopefully all is well x @MummyShark97

Bluebell2020 · 01/10/2020 12:58

@Babyhope98 I wouldn't worry at all until you've had a scan. Me and both my sister in laws have all been for growth scans. They've both got average babies on the scans and I'm the only one who actually has a tiny baby. Even my scan plot was much higher than my fundal height measurement though x

peachypetite · 01/10/2020 13:20

Argh I feel like shit after being up nearly all night. I nearly burst into tears at my desk earlier thank for I am wfh. Everyone is driving me nuts and I’m running out of patience. So thankful the end of work is in sight.

Kj1010 · 01/10/2020 13:24

Afternoon so was still waiting on letter for growth scan as I have appointment with consultant Tuesday had to phone them up and now my appointment is later as they cud only fit me in at 3.40 for scan no letters or phone call to inform me it's a bloody joke I'm getting very fed up with the lack or care and interest also they still are not allowing partners in at all even though government have recommended they do so wrong what if god forbid they find something wrong at scan etc you have no one there for support I seriously have no faith in our government or healthcare anymore the way I'm feeling today I feel like saying I ain't coming to any more appointments I'll just show up when in labour so not in mood today

MummyShark97 · 01/10/2020 13:54

It's so hard isn't it, my care has been good admin wise but overall very patchy!

Transferring my care to a different hospital was handled well but I do feel worried about the labour/partner rule. For a first baby I think I've just got this mindset that I'll go overdue and end up needing to be induced and be without him for hours!

Feel for you @peachypetite I'm off next week then I only have 3 weeks left, never intended to go off a month before but with annual leave left over that I have to use I'm now very grateful for it! Getting so fed up, I think it's the long periods of the day where he's pushing up on my diaphragm/lungs and I'm feeling really uncomfortable that is getting to me. I also had a nap on my lunch break yesterday, some afternoons I am so so tired I just can't explain it!

OP posts:
PipTed · 01/10/2020 14:33

I have also measured small with the tape and just about average on the scan, so I agree - try not to worry until you have your scan @Babyhope98. I think being a small Mum slightly skews the tape method as, naturally, there’s not as much space. But it’s quite surprising how the baby squeezes in there.

I’m hoping for a homebirth still, as our trust is still only allowing partners at established labour, (they announced yesterday that partners can now attend 20 week scans 🙈) - but yes my overriding worry is that I will need an induction. I know you can refuse, which I’m hoping I will, but you just don’t know how you’ll feel when the time comes.

Anyone doing positive birth company digital pack? I’m finding that really helpful!

Babyhope98 · 01/10/2020 18:31

Thank you all, comforting that I’m not the only one who has had this and you’ve had positive outcomes 🤩 I have my scan tomorrow at 2 so hopefully all will be well glad I don’t have to wait to long to get some answers x

NatalieH2220 · 01/10/2020 18:41

I had my flu jab today and my arm has gone dead already! I also suddenly feel exhausted not sure if it's a coincidence or linked in some way but hope it passes soon!

I've only been measured once at 28 weeks. Think he was showing slightly small but they weren't concerned, I'm interested to see where he is at my next appointment in a couple of weeks.

CoBell · 01/10/2020 18:49

@Babyhope, I was sent for a growth scan after my 34 week appointment as the midwife thought my baby was measuring below the 5th centile and in breech position but turns out she's actually head down and measuring above the 90th centile! Approx weight is 5lb 13oz aswell according to the scan so try not to worry too much!

@PipTed, I have just started the Positive Birth Company digital pack and finding it really good, I'm enjoying the videos and the MP3s, would defo recommend it if anyone else is thinking about getting it 😀
