@SunnySideUp2020 no they just did a quick scan to check size for dates and confirmed all legs and arms there and that's pretty much it.
Don't worry about the symptoms..they apparently can come and go at 11 weeks so it's likely just that and from what I've read a lot of lucky peoples (apart from anxiety it causes) symptoms can go altogether towards the 12 weeks ! I was feeling a good bit better at the weekend (prob the rest) but Monday since being back to work been hit badly again with it. Don't stress I'm sure you will be fine!

@ChampooPapi yes I'm in Ireland. Clearly screening is not done at all here which is a bit ridiculous. I thought there'd be something! Booking the harmony for next week now anyways.

BecsterG · 09/09/2020 08:19

Thanks @Leok83 and @SunnySideUp2020. Not a new house for us but it will feel so good to have all the furniture back in and all our stuff. We've been living like this since March! Whoop getting excited. I might finally be able to get the baby stuff ready 😂

@SunnySideUp2020 My symptoms did that. Pretty much almost disappeared over night from about 9 weeks. Still felt a bit off but miles better and I was worried as with my DS I was rough until about 16 weeks. They do come and go so try not to worry. Hard not to I know. X

@Leok83 I had the harmony test done at 13 weeks. I must admit it did cause me a bit of worry. The results for the screening came back normal but on the first test there wasn’t enough genetic material to identify the sex (which is an added extr I know!) but it then led me down a path of whether the baby had a rare syndrome (I began with a K but can’t remember the spelling). Luckily they took 2 blood samples and the second had enough DNA but it did worry me for a good few days! Just be mindful of that as it certainly didn’t help my anxiety levels!

TerribleImagination · 09/09/2020 10:08

Woohooo to having the keys to your new house @MilsCookie, that’s ace! 😍

Amazing news re the scan @Leok83 ❤️

MrsB16 · 09/09/2020 10:10

@BecsterG how is maternity leave?! I finished last Friday but I’m really struggling to switch off. I’ve worked full time for the past 8 years so to now just stop is really hard. I keep checking my emails on my work phone as well. My husband is threatening to hide it to try and make me relax!

I’m down to the last 2 boxes in my house now which is great, I’m aiming to finish the house sorting this week so that next week I can do the Owlet sock, the baby monitor, Ewan the sheep etc that’s if she stays in there that long. I’m 38 plus 2 today and didn’t sleep at all last night from lots of aches and pains so I’m wondering if it maybe the start of something.

Congratulations on the house @MilsCookie so glad you finally have the keys and you can start getting it ready. My only advice is don’t overdo it and delegate where possible! It’s really hard but know your limits. If I learnt anything from my 3 lockdown moves is that it’s not worth the pain the next day!

BecsterG · 09/09/2020 10:55

@MrsB16 day three and I'm loving it so far! I've turned off all my work stuff and it's all in a box ready for it all going back. I was worried I wouldn't be able to switch off but I've not even thought about it. You should just turn the phone off and put it away. You'll soon be too busy to think about it.

Oh I wonder if you've maybe started?! Exciting. The last few nights I've had period type pains but I think it's trapped wind. I'm on iron tablets and they are doing all sorts to my bowls! Ha ha sorry TMI! I need him to stay out for another few weeks and then he can come ha ha.

@MilsCookie didn't see your update about the keys!!! Amazing!!!
Enjoy the feeling at home 😁

scrumdiddly123 · 09/09/2020 12:08

@Leok83 yeah we get the NT done at the 12 week scan and partners are allowed in at the moment where I am so really pleased I don’t have to go by myself.
@SunnySideUp2020 I’m seeing the midwife on Friday so will definitely chase it up! I like to have a date to work towards. I’ve been the same symptom wise, definitely starting to feel better. Yesterday I didn’t need to take any of my nausea meds for the first time since I got them at 6 weeks! But nausea is back today. I read on one of my apps that the placenta is beginning to take over from the yolk sac by 9 weeks so it’s normal for symptoms to begin easing. I’m now able to find baby’s heartbeat on my Doppler at home so that is massively reassuring for me x

Lots of positivity on this thread today which is great to see Smile
Great news for you @Leok83 that must be a relief!!
Congrats on your keys @MilsCookie again - must be a relief! How great to be able to nest and get sorted.
@BecsterG good house news for you too, nearly there! We have new carpets coming next week so i can properly start nesting and buying once that is sorted. Still no bathroom news though, i suspect that may happen next year at this rate!
@MrsB16 put that phone away for goodness sake!!! Its not your problem now, you are finished! Relax whilst you still can!
I am 28 weeks today which means final trimester. I feel quite overwhelmed by it, the last month since viability seem to have flown by. Hoping the following weeks keep going as fast!

ChampooPapi · 09/09/2020 14:39

Me neither @MilsCookie, congratulations lovely 💜

ChampooPapi · 09/09/2020 15:47

Such a helpful thread for anyone having a planned section

MilsCookie · 10/09/2020 08:55

Thanks for sharing that @ChampooPapi - I am thinking about putting my hospital bag together soon cos who knows when these babies might come! Will start stocking up on things like paracetamol/ibuprofen.

I seriously think I've torn my stomach muscles ladies 😞 (slash, the babies have torn them!) it's so so painful on my right hand side just below my ribs. I told the doctors yesterday at the scan (which was the same as last week thankfully - smaller baby had positive blood flow again!) and they took some bloods for me to check for pre-eclampsia. I don't think it's that cos it feels worse when I move/cough etc so I'm pretty sure it's muscular. If it is pre-eclampsia I mean.... does anything else want to challenge me in this pregnancy!!! 😣 #pityparty #woeisme 🙈

SunnySideUp2020 · 10/09/2020 18:03

@MilsCookie ouch. That sounds painful.
Are you sure you haven't hurt your rib?
Sounds like it. Or the babies have.... 😬

Try to limit your movements anyway and get as much rest as possible...

I am not sure what pre eclampsia is exactly. But good they are testing you. Hope this won't be another bad news 🙏

Good to hear the little fighter is doing good in there 💗 that is definitely a very good news!

mlax · 10/09/2020 20:32

Hi Ladies. I used to be in one of the earlier groups in January/Feb time and been following this group for a while now!! I speak to @MilsCookie (it's Meg!) everyday pretty much so thought its about time I actually write in here now instead of following like a weirdo 🤣 I'm 15+1 due my rainbow on 3rd March. Hope you all don't mind me following... I've also requested to be in the Facebook group! Xx

MilsCookie · 10/09/2020 21:08

@mlax Megggggggggggg!!! Love that you've come back!! 😍🌈

@SunnySideUp2020 thank you 😘 the docs had a good feel of my ribs and said everything felt normal so I don't know 🤷‍♀️ I'm wearing my bump support most of the day now which seems to give me some relief... I know we're not supposed to wear them all the time as we become reliant but otherwise I'm walking round holding my tummy to try and stop the pain! 😣

AlviesMam · 10/09/2020 21:59

@mlax awwwww hello I remember you! Yay Congratulations Grinxxxx

AlviesMam · 10/09/2020 21:59

@MilsCookie greats news things are stable for you!!! Grin xxx

ChampooPapi · 11/09/2020 07:37

Waves @mlax 🙌 and congratulations ! I'll add you to the list Tuesday?

ChampooPapi · 11/09/2020 07:42

@MilsCookie yes so happy for you that things are stable and your little girl is doing so well 💕. Its like a constant waiting game and ticking off those weeks up till thirty is a bit torturous but they actually do go a hell of a lot quicker then the first trimester trudge. Another Tuesday is just round the corner too 📃, and do you have your next scan Wednesday or not till the week afterwards? Laying on your back at them gets harder and harder! I've been asking to do a fair portion of mine on my side, the baby pressure is too much on those hospital sonograph beds

ChampooPapi · 11/09/2020 07:57

@mlax also yay! Your pregnant! 🌈👣💜

BS9790 · 11/09/2020 07:58

Midwife sent me for another growth scan yesterday as bump not growing as it should and now below 10th centile too... All good though, baby growing fine, he's still huge 😂
Estimated weight 5lb 7oz at 32+5 😬
Baby was doing huge yawns and was patting his knee with his hand 😍

At the scan I asked about his heart rate, she said it was 115 which seems a bit low to me??
Should I be concerned... On Monday they said it was too high! Seems like 2 extremes. X

BS9790 · 11/09/2020 08:00

@MilsCookie, Ive had a pain under my ribs since about 20 weeks. It started as a sore point when I moved/touched it, gradually seemed to spread to cover a larger area. Now it's like a burning sensation there if I'm sat funny or have done too much, but then feels numb and tingly to touch. I think it's a squished nerve! X

mlax · 11/09/2020 08:02

Ahhh thanks ladies! Was worried a lot of you may have forgotten who I was so I'm glad you haven't!!

That would be lovely @ChampooPapi thank you! Also finding out the gender tomorrow so I will let you all know so you can add that to the list too 😬 xx

Whiffle77 · 11/09/2020 08:02

Glad you had another positive scan @MilsCookie. I have similar with my bump, it aches at certain times and when I do certain things. It doesn't ache when I workout though which makes no sense! It comes and goes so i assumed it was just growth spurts.
Welcome @mlax!
At least a scan is another opportunity to see them @BS9790. I think bump measurements can be a bit hit and miss from what I have read on here. Im sure they would've mentioned the heart rate if they were worried?
