@Babyghirl Oh lovey I’m so so sorry to hear this heartbreaking news 😭 Did you have to find out at your scan? That’s just awful 🙁

I echo what others have said, take time to heal as much as you can. You don’t need to be making any decisions about TTC in future right now. I’m also 37, I’ll be turning 38 at the end of this month, and I was also worried about that being too old, but it’s really not. As others have said, you’ll be offered help now too after 3 losses (what a ridiculous rule).

Sending lots of love your way ❤️

mlax · 23/10/2020 08:29

@Babyghirl I am so sorry you're going through this again. One time is awful enough let alone a second and third. Just remember we're all thinking about you and be kind to yourself. It's awful this has happened again and I'm so glad that you're already on the system for them to understand why this has happened again. Please don't give up though as hard as this is now. My auntie had 3 miscarriages and was about to give up and finally had her rainbow in May this year. It will happen for you 💖 sending you lots of hugs xxx

Thank you girls just waiting on nature doing its job nw I'm not as bad this morning think I have got over the shock I prepared myself for it tbh so nw I'm just going to let the fertility clinic do what they need to do. I think it's awful how the NHS can let it happen 3 times before anything is done. Just hope they find something that can be fixed and it does nt happen again. Xx

Thank you girls @scrumdiddly123 its awful 3 times did you get tests done to hold your rainbow baby I asked my doc for progesterone and she said no which I think is awful as it can't hurt only help I really think mine is low as I had it tested one cycle on day 21 and it was only 16.1 that low in my eyes and I'm no doctor lol xx

BS9790 · 23/10/2020 12:15

@Babyghirl, so sorry that you're going through this again. Sending you love. X

ChampooPapi · 23/10/2020 14:20

What do we make of these? I'm worrying about how my belly is going to be not only after a c section, which I've never had before (2 vaginal births previously) but also after the stretching with the twins.

People seem to like them and say they hold you in, whether they actually do anything is another thing entirely I guess. Any thoughts ladies

ChampooPapi · 23/10/2020 14:21

They do a range of pants ect too, quite expensive I suppose but I quite like the idea of something that makes me feel 'held together' so to speak a few weeks post section

ChampooPapi · 23/10/2020 14:24

This is the thread I got the info from originally

Whiffle77 · 23/10/2020 15:18

Would a decent pair of leggings not do the same sort of thing for much less cost?

ChampooPapi · 23/10/2020 15:23

@Whiffle77 they actually do leggings as well so maybe they would be better for day to day. My stomach is becoming very stretched, and I know, this is vanity, but I saw that old thread and it peaked my interest. I am good at the exercise thing and my diet post baby, but this c section thing is a whole new can of worms I've not experienced as far as the belly goes

ChampooPapi · 23/10/2020 15:25

These are the leggings

Whiffle77 · 23/10/2020 15:49

I'm huge, I dread to think what state I will be in afterwards haha! So any help could work...they are pretty pricey but I guess if they do the job ot might be worth it. Its difficult to know until the time I suppose. I cant wait to get back on the proper exercise train, I feel so weak despite still being quite active!

TerribleImagination · 23/10/2020 17:36

@ChampooPapi They look good! And I know what you mean about wanting to feel ‘pulled in’ 🤣 I’ve got the support band for walking, that I wear now, and it can be used afterwards as a sort of girdle to help with abdominal separation / generally feeling like your insides might fall out - I hear that’s a thing post birth?! 😂 So I definitely plan on using that!

How’s everyone’s week going?? I’ve had such a rubbish week in work! Loads of pressure from management and deadlines, and them not giving a shit when I told them I was getting really stressed with it all. Not fun! I’ve ended up in tears with the stress twice this week, and I NEVER cry over work! Bloody hormones.

Had my 28 week midwife appointment today and my BP was higher 😐 Which I’m sure is because of work, as it’s been perfect all throughout the pregnancy so far! It was 139 and then when she did another reading after my bloods it was 130, which is much better, but she’s being cautious and re-checking it on Monday. It’s always been in the 120’s previously. I’m not worried about it, but annoyed that I’m sure it’s work stress that’s done that! Everything else is grand, no headaches or protein in wee or anything. Eurgh, roll on mat leave, honestly! 8 more weeks to go!!

Leok83 · 23/10/2020 19:36

@TerribleImagination I hear you on work being horrendous at the moment!! I've been by myself all week at work and getting 1 day off in 3 weeks and have been on call all of this week and up until next Tuesday. Just home from the end of a really busy day at work about to have dinner and have just been called back in for a c-section on a dog and another 2 calls have just come in after that. So no rest for me and my back is soooo sore today😭. I'm going to eat my dinner now and go back in, I haven't cried yet but feel like crying!!
Hope work eases up for you!! Maternity leave is so close!! I'm going mid February and can not wait. Interviewing someone for the position on Wednesday so really hoping it goes well and can have that organised so I can start to look forward to it! Although have been having issues with the other vet I was supposed to leave in charge already starting to get a bit too big for her boots and have had complaints from rest of the staff about it and now looks like I might still need to manage when on maternity😐

BecsterG · 23/10/2020 21:28

@Babyghirl I've just caught up on all the messages. I'm so sorry to read your news. How heartbreaking! Life really can be so cruel. I hope you finally get some answers. Take the time you need. X

@Leok83 You poor thing, that sounds awful! I’m at least grateful that my job isn’t physically demanding! Keep counting down the weeks until the mat leave, it’ll get you through! ❤️

Babyghirl · 23/10/2020 23:09

@becsterg
Thankyou I'm doing OK, doc got in touch today with my fertility consultant about what has just happened so hopefully not waiting to long now to start the process of getting tested to c what's going on. Xx

Leok83 · 24/10/2020 19:59

So after another manic day and eve at work I was concerned all this may be affecting baby. And then it hit me that I should easily be able to spot movement now on our ultrasound so I'm just after checking on baby myself😄he's wriggling around with a good heartbeat! This may become a regular thing self scanning😂 wouldn't know if there were any problems other than no movement though so definitely only for fun!

ChampooPapi · 24/10/2020 20:34

@Leok83 this is brilliant 🙌 love it!

ChampooPapi · 24/10/2020 20:38

@TerribleImagination you are doing so well , oh my god your job is no stop and there's always another thing round every corner, you must be absolutely on your knees at this point when you roll into bed. Your doing amazingly 🥰

TerribleImagination · 24/10/2020 21:01

@ChampooPapi oh I definitely don’t have it anywhere near as bad as a lot of people work wise! I work from home as a fundraiser, so it’s all done from my sofa! Not at all physically demanding, but the management in the team and stress levels are deffo the issue! Fingers crossed my BP is ok on Monday 🤞🏻

@Leok83 Haha that’s amazing! A friend of mine is a cardiac nurse, and she was doing the same with their ultrasounds at work 🤣
