So weird I can see my belly moving up and down loads but can't feel it.... had this happened to you ? @BS9790

AlviesMam · 17/10/2020 10:32

When did everyone put their next to me crib up? X

BS9790 · 17/10/2020 10:48

@AlviesMam, I don't see my belly moving much now as the moments have got smaller. However I can only feel most movements by putting my hand on my bump, can't feel them at all otherwise.

I've been up worrying most of the night as he's not moving much again! I make my belly sore I spend so much time with my hand pushed against it trying to feel any movement!

My snuzpod is built, but not in our room yet 😊

ChampooPapi · 17/10/2020 10:48

@AlviesMam we put ours up last time the weekend before I was due, so only about 5 days or so early.

I think will do the same this time, even of the babies come early my partner can set them up while I'm in hospital, though is nice to put the sheets you want on, mattress protector ect yourself. I never think to early is good though as it gathers dust and can get in the way but you are fairly far along so could do it anytime you feel ready from now ☺️

BS9790 · 17/10/2020 11:06

@ChampooPapi, my husband can't be trusted to build furniture without supervision haha!! We put ours up a few weeks ago so that the dog is used to it. Must admit it's become a dumping ground for clean washing and my hospital notes 🙈

AlviesMam · 17/10/2020 13:12

@BS9790 I am exactly the same always pushing on my stomach to make her move and my stomach gets sore!

@ChampooPapi yeah I think I'll wait maybe another week. My mattress protector isn't here until 2.11.20 (my due date lol) is a mattress protector urgent ? Just in case she's here before that is lol. X

ChampooPapi · 17/10/2020 13:42

@AlviesMam if your planning on having her directly on the sheet on top of the mattress it is pretty essential to have something in between for the posseting or general leakage. Though you obviously know that because you've brought one, you may want to grab another so you can get in on a few days sooner just in case, but also because they are so useful for nappy changes or even feeding, especially the more natural ones. They are always useful layer for potty training as well and can be folded and used in Moses baskets.

eBay always have loads second hand, especially the little green sheep ones, and as they are flat sheet style of they are a little small or big for the next to me it really doesn't matter

But like I said there are so many on eBay and they can be washed 🙌

scrumdiddly123 · 17/10/2020 20:05

Omg @AlviesMam the pumpkins 🤣 I won’t unsee that! Amazing really! Not long for you now so exciting!
@SunnySideUp2020 ah your wedding is so close! How exciting! And a scan to look forward to as well 😀 I’m debating booking a private scan maybe for next week as it’s DHs birthday and I’m pretty desperate to find out the sex of the baby! I don’t know where my patience has gone!

scrumdiddly123 · 17/10/2020 20:07

Ladies can anyone recommend a good body moisturiser for my growing bump? I have quite a lot of stretch marks from my last baby but want to avoid getting many more if possible!

TerribleImagination · 17/10/2020 20:52

@scrumdiddly123 I’ve been using a combo of Burts Bees Mama Bee oil (morning and usually afternoon too) and the Neals Yard Mothers Balm at night before bed. So far I don’t have any stretch marks at 28 weeks... 🤞🏻

MilsCookie · 17/10/2020 22:55

@scrumdiddly123 I use Palmer's cocoa butter stretch mark cream in the morning and good old bio oil at night!! When I have a bath I also put a few drops of bio oil in it. Another one with no stretch marks at 28 weeks 👍🏻 although if I manage to get away with not getting any with twins I'll be pretty gobsmacked!!

SunnySideUp2020 · 18/10/2020 09:56

@scrumdiddly123
I ordered burts bee mamma butter over two weeks ago and haven't received it...
So in the meantime i use this oil that my SIL got me.

little-treasures.ch/mama-streifenlos-koerperoel.html

Smells lovely and easy to use but she s German so got it there... not sure if it can be ordered.

And only started using the past week so can't say if it's working or not...

Honestly go for the scan if you can afford it. It's such a relief 😌
I can't wait for tomorrow.

TerribleImagination · 18/10/2020 13:30

We’re just back from our 3D scan! It was SO
amazing to see her little face. She is SO CUTE!! Really can’t wait to meet her now and squish those little cheeks ❤️

ChampooPapi · 18/10/2020 16:01

Oh my god @TerribleImagination ! She looks so incredible! Those images are really clear, adorable 🥰🥰

MilsCookie · 18/10/2020 16:14

Wow @TerribleImagination!!! She's perfect!!! What amazing clear images too. You're making me want to have one done! 😍

ChampooPapi · 18/10/2020 16:35

@MilsCookie me too!

TerribleImagination · 18/10/2020 17:05

Thanks loves! 🥰 I highly recommend getting one done. It’s not cheap, I think ours was £109, but you get all the images (we got 30!) and a video of the scan too. It was well worth the money, just to see her cute little face! ❤️

Leok83 · 18/10/2020 21:38

@TerribleImagination that is the most gorgeous scan!! Amazing detail, definitely pictures to treasure😊
