@MilsCookie
We are having the wedding here in Latvia and just doing town hall in DP s village. Then going for a meal. It's the tiniest wedding with his sister, mum dad and grandma and my step sister who is coming from france and will go through the hassle of self isolation 😅

All of your bumps look so nice ladies!!! Beautiful 😍

@babyghirl hope the scan goes well x

I second @fireflygirl omeprazole is the best for reflux and stomach acids

Here is a picture of my dress at the inital fitting. Not doing it justice with my slouching though! Needs some touch up still but that's the idea. Since it's a small event with no reception i chose something a bit simpler and wanted to be comfy after all!
I'll share some pics after the wedding!

@Ejb86 that socks. Was someone positive around you?
Hope the test is negative though... you don't really need that.

@alviesmam sorry you are feeling anxious lovely. Remember it's totally normal after what you have been through and you are doing your best to keep positive thoughts which is great. Autumn will always bring you back to Alvie's birth but from this year will also be remembered for meeting your little rainbow lady. I think you are doing amazing and your strategy of preparing for the worst is yet another way to protect yourself. And it will be ok 💓 💪

@BS9790 hope you don't stay like this for weeks!!! Are you still having tightenings?

@ChampooPapi i took note of the changing mat. Bit early but at least I'll be prepared once i start shopping in 3 months 😂

AlviesMam · 08/10/2020 08:41

@SunnySideUp2020 aw I love the dress! When do you get married?! Thank you for your kind words xxxx

Had a scare last night. Was up with bad back ache and side of bump was aching and tightening but constant, it seemed to be a case of severe trapped wind but never felt pain like it! Went to the toilet once but it didn't relieve the pain so I was like uh oh. I couldn't lie or sit down and baby was really kicking into my ribs making the pain even more worse even though I love feeling her kick! .... this is all new to me could this be my body preparing ?! Was so weird x

MilsCookie · 08/10/2020 08:51

Thank you for all for the changing table ideas/recommendations... @TerribleImagination where are you getting the wall pull down one? Sounds fab for saving space! (Which we need as we'll have two cots in one room!)

@Ejb86 oh god I really hope it's not Covid!! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

@SunnySideUp2020 that's a lovely dress 😍 I'm kinda jealous of your wedding haha... we've decided not to get married till the babies are 2-3 years old! I'm sure it'll be a lovely day however small it may be 😊

@AlviesMam that sounds like it might be your body preparing if it's all new? Hope you're feeling okay lovely 😘

@BS9790 how are you feeling this morning?

@Babyghirl thinking of you this morning and sending positive vibes 🤞🏻🌈🙏

Ejb86 · 08/10/2020 09:01

@SunnySideUp2020 in one of the classes I worked in there have been 5 positive cases. Sad

TerribleImagination · 08/10/2020 09:09

@MilsCookie It’s from Wayfair! My friend has the same one in her nursery and it looks so nice and is just so handy for space saving. www.wayfair.co.uk/children-nursery/pdx/harriet-bee-evelina-changing-table-with-pad-rbk1607.html

@SunnySideUp2020 I loooove the dress! It’s gorgeous! How exciting having the wedding so soon to look forward to!

@AlviesMam I hope you’re ok lovey! That does sound like it would give anyone a bit of a fright! Maybe it is your body getting ready?

@Babyghirl I hope your scan went well!

BS9790 · 08/10/2020 09:36

@AlviesMam hope you're okay this morning. I'm getting pains in the sides of my bump too.

@SunnySideUp2020, I am having some tightenings but not many. The thing is I've been having loads of tightenings since about 24 weeks... Sometimes 10 or more an hour, I mentioned to midwife several times 🤷‍♀️ so I didn't even think anything of the ones I was having Tuesday night... Barely even noticed them 🤣

@milsCookie, I'm OK slept most of the night. Woke up at 3am and sobbed and cried for an hour lol but went back to sleep. Got midwife & monitoring this afternoon so hopefully everything will be looking OK x

scrumdiddly123 · 08/10/2020 09:56

Morning ladies! I’ve just got home from the school run and spent the last 50 minutes catching up! My phone stops sending me email notifications for some reason and I just forget to check on here 🤦‍♀️
Loads to catch up on! Hope everyone is ok, so many babies almost ready to be born! So exciting!
@ChampooPapi you made me howl with your vagina dying 🤣🤣 thank you for keeping the list updated as well we do appreciate it 🙂
All good with me, 14 weeks tomorrow! Which is mad! I’m starting a new job in a couple of weeks after being on furlough since March and then made redundant in July so will be very strange getting back into the swing of working! A bit nervous as it’s full time in a big school so I imagine quite a high risk of there being Covid cases, they also don’t know I’m pregnant so need to hide the bump for the first few weeks! Hopefully it will all work out ok x

BecsterG · 08/10/2020 12:40

@Babyghirl I hope the scan went well.

Lots of people said that to me about a changing table but we used it loads with DS1. I always went upstairs to change him as I like that it's at a good height as always hurt my back doing it from the floor. I found the table and draws really useful and I used the wardrobe mainly for storage. The top of our changing table comes off and can then just be draws once we're past that stage.

Baby there with heart beat measuring a bit behind but cause my cycle is all over the place think I ovulated a bit l8r bck in two weeks anybody else measure behind and then catch up just keeping my fingers crossed for the nxt two weeks xx

FireflyGirl · 08/10/2020 13:10

DH got the co-sleeper out of the loft, and it's covered in mildew! We've obviously had a bit of a leak, what a bugger.

It's hand wash only, but I've bunged it in the Washing machine with some detergent on a delicates wash, and if that doesn't work I'll try mildew remover, but we might need a new bit - not even sure what the material part is called to look at replacements! At least we found it now, I suppose!

@AlviesMam I've had a lot of those same cramps for the last week or so. I think it's a mix of overdoing it last week, having wind, baby being laid on my bowels so I always feel constipated, and everything getting ready. It is very uncomfortable, though!

Glad it was good news today, @Babyghirl. Those early days are long and hard, but 2 weeks will pass before you know it.

DH and I have decided to go into our own mini-lockdown, or as much as we can with DS still at school. Our thinking is, we'd rather stay home for a couple of weeks than risk him not being able to come to hospital with me. Depends what happens in the rest of the country as well, though!

TerribleImagination · 08/10/2020 13:27

Amazing news @Babyghirl ❤️ Seeing a heartbeat is SUCH a good sign! I measured a few days behind too at my first early scan. She caught up by a couple of days by the 12 week one, but either matched when I likely ovulated, so I wouldn’t worry about that. The important thing is seeing that gorgeous heartbeat 🥰

TerribleImagination · 08/10/2020 13:41

Just picked up my new best pals 😂

FireflyGirl · 08/10/2020 14:01

@TerribleImagination they will honestly be the best things you've ever known! Grin

It's not looking good for the co-sleeper. Next step is DH giving it a scrub with some heavy duty mildew remover...

Whiffle77 · 08/10/2020 14:07

Thats what we are planning too @FireflyGirl, I think probably from 37 weeks - hibernate, as the risk of him not being in hospital with me is just incomprehensible!
I've bought a chest of drawers which is too high for changing really, think I will probably get a cot top changer as there's some quite cheap ones

MilsCookie · 08/10/2020 17:42

That's amazing news @Babyghirl!! So happy for you! What did you think you are and what was bean measuring? That must have been such a relief! I think the fact you've had an implantation bleed and some cramps are all good signs this one is a sticky bean... with my mc I had zero symptoms but with these twins I had a small bleed at 6 weeks and had on and off cramps all the way through! Hope the next two weeks go quick for you 🤞🏻

@FireflyGirl oh no... what a pain about the co sleeper! Hope you manage to get rid of the mildew 🤞🏻

I decided to buy a cot top changing table from Asda online today... it was about £20 cos they've got lots of discounts at the mo. Might not be the best quality but I'll see how I get on with that and if I need to I'll buy a specific dresser!

scrumdiddly123 · 08/10/2020 19:40

That sounds really positive @Babyghirl! What did they date baby at?

BS9790 · 09/10/2020 13:36

I've had a growth scan and meeting with consultant this morning, my already big baby has had an extra growth spurt 🙈 and is now nicely plotting off the top of the bloody growth chart haha.

I've been recommended either induction or planned csection around 39 weeks. He wanted me to decide there and then but I said I needed to talk to my DH, so I'm back next Friday to tell him my decision and get a plan in place.

Basically,
Vaginal delivery = high chance of shoulder dystocia, increased likely hood of needed forceps/suction... Neither of these I can have due to my platelets condition, as they don't know what the babies platelets will be so need to avoid anything invasive to baby.
So that would possibly end up resulting in emergency section anyway.

Csection = obviously higher risk to me. You lose more blood with a csection and with my platelets condition I would lose more than normal. But less chance of distress for baby I guess... Plus if it was planned they would be better prepared for my bleeding etc.

Got a repeat glucose test on Monday to check I haven't developed GD since my last test.

Any words of wisdom or advice? 😬

ChampooPapi · 09/10/2020 13:55

@SunnySideUp2020 that dress is cheddar gorge! Your are going to look absolutely stunning 💖

@BS9790 I'm all for vaginal deliveries, I've had two and would definitely not change them for sections for the world, I was out a few hours later, pottering around. Bit in your situation, oh my goodness, c section all the way if it was me. With the intervention element and the risk of shoulder dystocia I'd definitely choose a section. A planned one will be very calm and controlled too

SunnySideUp2020 · 09/10/2020 15:19

@AlviesMam 25th oct!

@MilsCookie well we are also planning a proper ceremony at some point. But given all this covid saga, it might also be in 2 3 years 😅

@ChampooPapi thanks lovely!

@BS9790 from what you are saying i think i would opt for C section without a doubt.

Whiffle77 · 09/10/2020 16:03

Gosh not sure how I missed your dress picture @SunnySideUp2020! How gorgeous!! Very exciting Smile
I think i would go for c section too @BS9790 - they will be fully prepped for any additional blood loss risk etc. Im at higher risk of blood loss too, and they have already said there is lots they can do to plan or reduce this risk so hopefully the insulting can run through that with you. Neither are great choices though im sorry, and obviously completely your choice and what you feel comfortable with! It also depends on what level of risk both are - you say high but have they given more detail than that? What way are you and dh leaning?

SunnySideUp2020 · 09/10/2020 16:23

Need opinions.
Today i went shopping for a present for a baby boy, and i bought a few things. One of them i really liked so i bought and decided to keep.
Obviously it's for boys and we are having a girl...

Am i being a bit stupid and will get plenty of opportunities to buy lovely girl stuff later?
I am personally ok to put a car and navy clothes on my daughter but did i get carried away?

Also if you think it's faaar too boyish please be honest i won't be offended! 😁

AlviesMam · 09/10/2020 18:01

Omg @BS9790 !! I'd opt for c section if it was me. Like you said they can plan for the blood loss and he seems to be a pretty big boy! 🙈🙈🙈 eeeeek as if he will be here in two weeks?! I'm so excited for you xxx

AlviesMam · 09/10/2020 18:02

My current view when I look down 😂😂😂
