@BS9790 oh bless you poor thing... sounds similar to me in that DP was waiting in the car for 4 hours and they asked me to stay in and I cried loads and didn't want to haha... I was very tempted to also sign the self-discharge form but my DP said I'd only be at home worrying so might as well stay in... and with mine being super high risk I could never have forgiven myself if something had happened. But I definitely think you made the right decision being so close to full term! I hope you've managed to get some rest today ...big hugs 😘

@SunnySideUp2020 your wedding is so soon, how exciting! Where are you having it?

@ChampooPapi nothing major happening for me this week as I've already had my scan!

I feel absolutely HUGE now ladies 🙈 27+2 ! 👶🏻 👶🏻 I also feel like time is flying now... which is super scary but also I'm so ready for a glass of wine! 🍷 can't wait for all the delights that come with Christmas too!🎄🎅 I've started doing some online present shopping because I'm pretty sure it'll be the last thing on my mind when the girls are here!

BS9790 · 07/10/2020 17:40

@milsCookie tbh I've done nothing but worry since I got home and wish I'd stayed in for some extra monitoring now just to put my mind at ease. But when I put my rational head on, the midwife said, in 3 days time they'd have sent me home anyway... There's nothing wrong, just possible "pre term" labour. So I don't actually know what I'm worrying about 🙈

Haven't managed any sleep, hoping baby has a good wriggly evening so I can go to bed feeling more relaxed tonight. If I went into labour I would be beyond tired before I even got started 🤣🤣

Bleeding seems to be stopping/have stopped now, so I haven't phoned about that. Will see how this evening goes and go from there! 😬

BS9790 · 07/10/2020 17:44

Ladies who have had babies before, my bump has gone really soft and just feels flabby on the right hand side at the bottom.
Any ideas? He hasn't changed position as they felt where he was, wondering if it could be because he's started to engage?!

His back is on the right side, so the bottom of that side would have been head? Shoulders? (not knees or toes!)

TerribleImagination · 07/10/2020 18:05

@MilsCookie Aww look at your bump!! 😍😍 Gorgeous! ❤️

Babyghirl · 07/10/2020 18:15

Well how you ladies all doing have not been on all week trying to relax myself scan day tomara I will finally know wats going. On in there say a prayer for me girls my nerves r bad 💚🍀🤞🙏

ChampooPapi · 07/10/2020 18:16

@BS9790 I think you need to call and go back in, I really think it's time to do this. You've come home and grounded yourself, at least eaten and had a bit of rest, albeit not much! But I'd be definitely to ringing them and going back in now for monitoring or a scan, or whatever they feel they need to do

ChampooPapi · 07/10/2020 18:17

@MilsCookie fabulous bumpie! You look gorgeous 💜💜

ChampooPapi · 07/10/2020 18:19

You've inspired me to get out of bed and finally do my own update

ChampooPapi · 07/10/2020 18:23

Just over 33 weeks now 🙌

Whiffle77 · 07/10/2020 18:36

Awwww great twin bumps @MilsCookie and @ChampooPapi! Im always surprised by other peoples bump sizes as it sometimes feels like hardly any time has passed, and we/I'm still only a little way along...
And then other days I feel like every day is dragging and I have been pregnant 192 years

Sorry you didn't get much sleep @BS9790, rest is almost as good as sleep though! Wishing you a wriggly but relaxing evening xx

FireflyGirl · 07/10/2020 18:36

I've finished my Christmas shopping, @MilsCookie. I figure I'll have better things to do anyway with a newborn, and that's without the added joy of a second wave of CV, which is looking more and more likely.

Just waiting on 3 deliveries, and will need to get whatever DS asks Santa for (Santa brings stockings, one present you ask for and a surprise in our house). I'll save wrapping for a rainy day next month, when I can whack on a Christmas film and drink mulled wine!

@ChampooPapi I have a midwife appointment on Friday, but other than that I have nothing coming up for the next few weeks - apart from possible early arrival of baby 🤞

@TerribleImagination, @Whiffle77 ask your GP/pharmacist for Omeprazole. It reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes, and is miles more effective than Rennies/Gaviscon. I haven't been as bad this time, but it was a godsend last pregnancy when even a drink of water used to give me horrendous acid.

Also, acid gets worse the further on you get, because your stomach gets pushed up.

I get lots of 'tickling' movements along my bikini line, which I think is baby's hands, as I can generally feel her bum and feet at the top of my bump. It's weird, though, because it is just like someone tickling along there on the outside.

@SunnySideUp2020 I hadn't realised your wedding was so soon - can we see pictures of your dress, either on the Facebook page or on here?

@BS9790 I would have done the same. You wouldn't have managed any rest in hospital, much better at home and just very careful monitoring. Hope you're doing okay this evening.

FireflyGirl · 07/10/2020 18:43

Sorry, when I refreshed I appear to have missed the last hour of messages!

Lovely bump photos!

@BS9790 it could be because he has moved down. My bump never really changed with DS that I can remember, but it's been 5.5 years now so I have forgotten a lot! And he had his head stuck in my pelvis so he never really engaged.

ChampooPapi · 07/10/2020 18:46

@Whiffle77 we definitely have been pregnant for 192 years!

@SunnySideUp2020 so exciting your getting married so soon! Amazing 💜💜

ChampooPapi · 07/10/2020 18:47

@SunnySideUp2020 and yes please to dress uploads

TerribleImagination · 07/10/2020 19:08

Awww gorgeous bump @ChampooPapi 😍

Yeah @FireflyGirl I was thinking that earlier about asking for omeprozole! I’ll give the docs a call tomorrow and get some prescribed. I was thinking the same thing, that it’ll only get worse the further along I am! 🤢

Aww the tickling movement sounds absolutely adorable! 🥰

TerribleImagination · 07/10/2020 19:09

Also amaaaazing that you’re getting married so soon @SunnySideUp2020 ❤️

MilsCookie · 07/10/2020 19:10

Been thinking of you @Babyghirl 😘 this week must have felt like torture. What time is your scan tomorrow? Really hope everything is alright, keeping everything crossed. Let us know how you get on 🤞🏻🙏❤️🌈

Gorgeous bump @ChampooPapi !! Twin bumps are no joke! 🙈 good to see what I might look like at 33 weeks too! (If we get that far 😬🤞🏻)

Ahh bless you @BS9790... it's a tough one cos if they've told you there's nothing to worry about other than 'pre-term labour' then I'd be tempted to just stay at home. Like you said, you're gonna need as much energy as possible for the actual labour!! And being in hospital is exhausting. I felt awful when I came home on Sunday. Obviously if you feel any change in movements or you start getting contractions then give them a call! Also, even if baby came now they'd be absolutely fine. I'd give anything to make it to 36 weeks but it's just not gonna happen!

@Ejb86 how are you getting on lovely?

@FireflyGirl ahhhh you've just made me feel all Christmassy!! I definitely want to finish my shopping and do exactly what you've just described! I love wrapping presents whilst watching a Christmas film (usually The Holiday or Love Actually) with mince pies and mulled wine! 😍 oh I love Christmas so much!!

MilsCookie · 07/10/2020 19:22

P.s. question - what are you all doing for changing tables? Do we NEED one? Or can you just use a chest of drawers with a changing mat on the top? Or the floor? I do ideally want one but I've already spent £££££££ on these twins! 🤯

Babyghirl · 07/10/2020 19:28

@milscookie
Thank you 8.10 in the morning so nt to long to wait would be worse if it was in the afternoon 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈 just cramps on and off but been reading that norm for 7 weeks we'll I hope so no spotting or anything to go with it so trying to stay positive will update tomara girls 🍀💚🙏🤞

ChampooPapi · 07/10/2020 19:29

This is mine currently, we still need to attach the change part to the top as it's one of those IKEA ones that once you stop using the large change table top, half of it comes off. We (my partner) painted ours, bit we got it for 15 pounds off gumtree so worth a look for sure. Will just use a change mat for downstairs. I will say the IKEA change mats are the best, they are 15 pounds themselves, but mine is still good years later, and the sides are properly stiff foamed so create a good barrier for baby rolling, and obviously fluids. I'll link it

Babyghirl · 07/10/2020 19:29

@milscookie
I can't use anything but my knee to change babies lol.

ChampooPapi · 07/10/2020 19:30

Obviously all that stuff won't be on top! @MilsCookie

MilsCookie · 07/10/2020 19:32

Oo I like the look of that @ChampooPapi thank you. It sounds like you get more use out of it as well if you can take the top off when they're older! Will have a look x

@Babyghirl I think that sounds like a good sign if I'm honest! I had lots of cramping at the beginning. And if you've had no more spotting I really hope that it was just an implantation bleed - that's what I had when I was around 6 weeks! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

The BEST change mat out there 🙏

@MilsCookie it's basically this one but there are always some on gumtree for very reasonable. And you guys could paint yours too. After a c section we will find a change table essential, no bending ect, and being able to have everything to hand
