@Whiffle77 I can't wait to know whether you have a boy or a girl, it's so exciting not actually knowing, it's really unusual now as well and I am more then a little jealous you have this really incredible and exciting suprise after labour. You have done very well not to find out too, it must be hard sometimes with private scan places around and all but you are never going to forget that moment where you both find out when being passed your little one. So exciting 🥰

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/10/2020 11:00

@ChampooPapi honestly you have been doing this religiously and an amazing job!
We will have someone take over when your girls arrive or... yes "everyone is pregnant between 5 and 42 weeks, mix of boys and girls"
😁
Works for me

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2020 11:10

@SunnySideUp2020 😂 yes I like that 'everyone pregnant, mixed bag' lol

BS9790 · 06/10/2020 11:19

@AlviesMam, no feelings at all. I think he'll only be early if they bring him early 😩 my husband has said 2 weeks early right from the start, but this week has changed his mind and said he also thinks he's staying put 🤣🤣
After counting down to October... I can see him being a November baby 🙈

Whiffle77 · 06/10/2020 11:39

Thanks for the link, I have joined the group!

Eeek I know @ChampooPapi I am so excited to meet them and find out who they are! I feel like it's a girl but I have no reason for thinking that- probably because there's so many girls on this group?! Got a scan next week and at 37 weeks so will be sure to tell them not to let me know!! Your other half is very outnumbered bless him!! You will have such a great girl gang Smile

@AlviesMam glad things are going ok for you Smile

@BS9790 I said to my husband yesterday that we may have a baby next month - crazy!! Try and enjoy the quiet time before he arrives?! Easier said than done.

What has everyone done sleeping wise by the way? Everyone recommended baby sleeping bags but i cannot find any that are for newborns?!

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2020 12:15

@Whiffle77 These are expensive but for newborn up till about two months. You can let their arms out too! It's just an option to popper them in. I have one that I used for my last. Also you can use those bags that only come up to the waist which I really like too

Wow lots to catch up on!

Thanks so much for updating the list as always @ChampooPapi 🥰 so sorry you're dealing with polyhydramnios on top of everything else

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2020 16:22

@MilsCookie oh the word sounds scary but it's all good, we have been very lucky so far into this pregnancy and I am very suspicious of their measurements, you know how it is with twins and scanning, bloody nightmare to get correct measurements with positioning and squashing up ect. Was your scan today? How are feeling generally? It certainly gets harder physically, especially on the groin area with double baby times doesn't it!

MilsCookie · 06/10/2020 16:31

@ChampooPapi 🤦🏼‍♀️ pressed send by accident before I had finished! Is it making you uncomfortable? What are their fluid levels just out of interest? It sounds like you've definitely made the right decision now about the diabetes test. Your story about the consultant made me laugh 🤣 hope you're okay though... you're almost at the finish line!!

@Leok83 congratulations on your baby boy! 💙 it definitely does feel like we're a more girl heavy group so it's lovely to have another boy 😊

@MrsB16 gorgeous photos of Emilia 😍 and I love the eternity ring idea... brought a tear to my eye! 😢

@Whiffle77 thanks lovely... luckily I'm not working at the moment (contract ended at the end of August) I'm so grateful because I'm so uncomfortable I just don't think I'd be able to manage being a full time class teacher at all at the moment! Hopefully the next 5 weeks of work passes quickly for you!

@FireflyGirl @BS9790 LOVE how organised you are with your hospital bags - that's my kinda style 😄 I need to get some ziplock bags now...

@AlviesMam just because you are having a perfectly healthy pregnancy doesn't mean you aren't entitled to worry... you've been through a very traumatic experience in the past and it's completely understandable to feel the way you do 😘 but I just know your little girl is going to make her way into the world with the same ease she has made the pregnancy and I cannot wait to see some photos of her with all her hair! 😍

@sweetpeaormarigold congrats!! Hope you do see this and come and join us 😊

@SunnySideUp2020 thank you for remembering! I was pretty terrified about today's scan after the week we've had with two emergency hospital trips, but thankfully everything looked good with the babies!! Still a little bit of intermittent absent/reverse blood flow in our smaller sIUGR twin but she's still coping well and seems to be catching her sister up in terms of percentiles 😍 so we're still on track for 32-34 weeks. I feel so lucky to have made it this far!! Now counting down the days to the 28 week mark and officially the start of the third trimester 🙌🏻 can't quite believe it. Feels like we've all come such a long way since the thread back in Jan.

Sorry if I've missed anyone - hope everyone's doing okay today!

MilsCookie · 06/10/2020 16:42

@ChampooPapi aha, you replied before I finished typing my mammoth post haha. Totally know what you mean with the measurements. For the last few weeks they're struggling to measure twin 2 (bigger twin)'s head cos it's so far down and her sister is on top of her 🙈. Do they do umbilical cord and MCA dopplers when you go? I'm feeling pretty okay in myself just tired and have had more afternoon naps recently. I'm also finding that when I need to go to the toilet, I NEED to go haha - probably cos big twin's head is right on my bladder! Struggling to walk as easily/quickly now and I get out of breath so easily too! How about you?

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/10/2020 17:31

@MilsCookie glad to read your update.
More positive than anything despite the scares as you said. X

I am sharing this. I found online and quite funny (to me 😁)

On a less funny note i have been having some sort of cramps here and there these past few days. Mini cramps/sort of discomfort in my lower abdomen.
Is it normal at this stage? I am 14w3

Catching up - TTC After Miscarriage part 3
ChampooPapi · 06/10/2020 19:12

@SunnySideUp2020 really really normal, especially around this time and then again in the mid twenty weeks mark. Stretching and ligaments, your baby is having a growth spurt. It feels very much like period cramps, bloody scary for you I know, I felt the worry too, big time at your stage, but it's absolutely normal and actually if you weren't having them it would be more of a.worry. your belly is stretching and weeks 14-16 are a really big leap for babies in utero

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2020 19:24

@ChampooPapi I'm a human sloth and my vagina has officially given up (don't even ask!). I will be limping, physically and emotionally, over that finish line 😬

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2020 19:25

My brain has also melted, hence me tagging myself 🤦

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2020 19:26

@MilsCookie the human sloth post was for you 🤦

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2020 19:27

It's like some insane paradox that message to myself it's kind of freaking me out 😆

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2020 19:27

And of course it has the word vagina in it, typical of me

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/10/2020 19:43

@ChampooPapi It feels like i am being poked with a toothpick every now and then. And sometimes like period pains. So yes bit scary. But ok will keep it mind it's growth 😅
Also been honest with my midwife that i am a paranoid freak and need a scan before 20w. She said she will arrange it. Didn't even have to pretend i need to know the gender!

What do you mean your vagina has given up? 🤔🤨
What happens to vaginas at this stage?

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2020 19:51

@SunnySideUp2020 at 33 weeks with twins vaginas die my love. They just die and go to vagina heaven.

The weight and pressure above, the internal walls do a kind of prolapse type thing, the weeing becomes continuous, the huge twin belly obscures said vagina so that's another issue when trying to wipe, then there's the daggers, the fanny daggers after very short walking. And don't look at it! Never look at it with a mirror @MilsCookie.... shudder...so wrong.

Apparently all goes back to normal post babies, especially as they'll be nothing coming out of mine this time, but yes, the vagina is broken.

Also Jesus @SunnySideUp2020 , I know I've lost my head before and gone a bit postal, but that other thread with that poor woman who is getting her arse handed to her about posting her pregnancy on social media 😬. I feel really bad for her, it's like a day at the bloody races over there for people to take their shit out on her, not cool!

TerribleImagination · 06/10/2020 19:55

Also intrigued (and quite scared) about how my vagina might give up in the last trimester... 😂

@SunnySideUp2020 Yep the cramps are definitely normal lovey! Around that stage is when your uterus grows big enough to come above your pelvis. I remember feeling strange goings on around that time too!

My little monkey is currently nestled on my right right, casually kicking me in the bladder and straight forward into my pelvis 😂 It feels very odd! Hopefully she kicks something other than my bladder while bake off is on 🤣

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2020 19:57

@TerribleImagination just don't look at it, you honestly won't recognise the thing that looks back at you 😂. I had to to do some de fluffing.... Never again

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/10/2020 19:57

@ChampooPapi i came here to say the same!!!
😳😳😳
I stopped writing as it's just gone mental with the said actual bitter MN keyboard warriors it seems.
I also honestly thought she was trying to understand how to make amends.
Poor girl did not see this coming... she was right to exit though. People are nasty.
