@SunnySideUp2020 yes I've got a scan on weds... my mum is coming with me to this one which I'm so happy about as DP can't come every week! How are you feeling about yours?

SunnySideUp2020 · 21/09/2020 14:08

@Whiffle77 i actually laughed!!! It is not the greatest thing indeed but we should get the contract for the flat today 😊😊😊

@Ejb86 niceeee another little girl :) glad the scan went well!

@FireflyGirl hope your DS is ok. Not ideal right now 😕

@MilsCookie i have been counting down days and now starting to get nervous but been watching videos to know what to expect etc...
what time is yours?
Mine is 8:40 UK time.

MilsCookie · 21/09/2020 14:58

@SunnySideUp2020 I was so nervous for mine as the last time I had a scan at that point I found out about the mmc. I don't think any of us will fully be able to relax after what we've been through, but hopefully you feel some comfort in that you've already had a scan and seen bean measuring nicely on track with a good hb 😊. At least it's nice and early for you as well so you don't have to hang around all day. Mine is at 9:45 so also a morning one. Will keep all my fingers and toes crossed for you and checking for your update! Try to distract yourself between now and then 😘

SunnySideUp2020 · 21/09/2020 15:05

@MilsCookie thank you for your kind words 💕
Morning appointments are definitely better! Will also have everything crossed for you and your girls. It's good that your mum will be with you as well 😊

I was wondering if i should go with full bladder or not?
So far all mt scabs have been abdominal and i never had full bladder but i thought for 12w measurements it might be better? What do you think?

MilsCookie · 21/09/2020 16:52

@SunnySideUp2020 I think the more full your bladder is the clearer the ultrasound image. So I'd try to hold it for an hour or so before hand if you can!! Will be thinking of you on Weds xxx

Whiffle77 · 21/09/2020 18:29

I went with a super full bladder and then they were over an hour late!! I ended up having to go for half a wee as I was worried i would wet myself as soon as they put the scanner on me!! 🙈
But yes they say have a full bladder, good luck

Leok83 · 21/09/2020 19:16

@Ejb86 aw congrats it's a little girl💕😊

@SunnySideUp2020 they never told me what to do before mine but I just didn't pee for a couple of hours before hand and drank couple glasses of water..wasn't dying to pee so wasn't uncomfortable and at least then could enjoy watching baby on the scan!
I was told to drink 2L before a general pelvic scan a few months ago (when not preg) and it was horrendous! I had to pee a small bit when I was waiting as I couldn't hold any longer which they werent happy about and when he was ultrasounding me it was sheer agony and I literally had beads of sweat on my face!! I barely made it to the bathroom at the end! I don't recommend going with a bladder that full😄

Best of luck to you and @MilsCookie for your Wednesday scans!xx

@Whiffle77 that sounds like it must be such a strange sensation feeling all that! I'm looking forward to feeling baby kick but it'll prob be a long while yet. I'm starting to feel better now thanks. Still vomit most mornings but it's definitely clearing faster in the day so 🤞the end is in sight!

@TerribleImagination 🎉🎉🎉for 24 weeks!! So good to hit those milestones😁

@FireflyGirl hope DS is feeling better and gets a negative test. 48 hr turn around is quite good so at least you don't have to wait too long.

SunnySideUp2020 · 21/09/2020 19:27

Well i barely manage to drink 1.5l a day 😅
So i will go with the max i can hold and hope for the best...
Thanks :)

AlviesMam · 21/09/2020 20:06

34 weeks today and I've never felt kicks as strong as today. I'm sure I can actually grab her little foot when she pushes out on my sides!

In the process of speaking to head midwife at the hospital about my birthing partners so hoping I get some clarification soon 🤞🏼

A week today I break up from work to use 4 weeks holiday yay Grin

BecsterG · 23/09/2020 06:52

@Stina85 welcome. We were going to start after I got a negative test but two weeks later I got my first period so it was the following month before we tried. We were very lucky to conceive again the second month and I'm now 39+4 weeks pregnant. Ekk Good luck to you.

Whiffle77 · 23/09/2020 08:19

Hi @Stina85 - same story as @BecsterG for me - I tried straight away but got my period, then got pregnant on the next ovulation. One thing I would say is that my first period was not fun buy I felt like my body really needed it - it was a big reset i think. So if you can bear to wait a period to help your body heal, i would - i know it isn't that easy mentally though!

Whiffle77 · 23/09/2020 08:20

Thats not the same story at all now I've reread it 🙈 ah well you know what I mean!
Did another big shop of baby stuff last night, and had a load of bits from my neighbour too so all of a sudden I feel slightly more prepared! Which is good...

BecsterG · 23/09/2020 08:46

@Whiffle77 ha ha similar. I found my first period really heavy and I wasn't expecting it as I presumed I'd ovulate roughly 2 weeks after my negative test (which took 3 weeks to get).

If you're ready then go for it as you've nothing to lose really.

scrumdiddly123 · 23/09/2020 10:19

Good luck for your scans @MilsCookie @SunnySideUp2020! Thinking of you both.
@Ejb86 that’s great news- congratulations 😍
@FireflyGirl has your sons test result come back yet? I developed a bad cold and persistent cough over the weekend so got tested Sunday evening and still waiting for results 🙄 so got all three kids and my husband stuck at home with me driving me mad! 🤣
Hope everyone else is ok 💖💙 xx

scrumdiddly123 · 23/09/2020 10:22

@Stina85 I fell pregnant immediately after my second miscarriage but unfortunately miscarried again. It then took me 4 cycles to conceive again and currently almost 12 weeks pregnant 🤞🏻🤞🏻 The pregnancy thread as mentioned is great, wishing you lots of luck x

FireflyGirl · 23/09/2020 10:39

@scrumdiddly123 we got the results yesterday afternoon, within 36 hours (negative, so I shoved him through the school gates this morning and have been trying to sort out a week's worth of stuff this morning).

Hope you get yours soon!

@Stina85 I had a MMC last summer, then a chemical in November, so we decided to have a break over Christmas (partly so I could have a drink, then I ended up on antibiotics for my wisdom teeth and couldn't drink anyway!!). Started trying again in the New Year and caught more or less straight away. I also had a MMC before DC1, and had a month's break afterwards before trying again.

If you feel up to it, go for it, there's no real reason not to. Good luck!
