TerribleImagination · 17/09/2020 14:51

Oh @MrsB16 that’s made me well up too! What a beautiful moment for you and your DH, after everything you’ve been though.

Amazing birth story too, you’re a warrior!! ❤️

FireflyGirl · 17/09/2020 18:17

Another one with something in their eye Wink

So glad it went well for you, @MrsB16. Sounds like a great story to tell her when she's older, and such a lovely name. Well done and congratulations on your beautiful family Flowers

MilsCookie · 17/09/2020 19:04

Aww lovely story @MrsB16. It's amazing how quickly they can come when they put they're mind to it. So happy you've got your gorgeous rainbow baby. 💕

Thank god it's Friday ladies, I was practically on my knees crawling by this afternoon. I'm officially over 40 weeks now and from my last pregnancies I can testify that I feel overdue! Odd feeling at not yet 31 weeks, but combined my two are estimated as weighing 7 pounds so that's bigger then my first baby already who was only 6.5.

Wish I could wake up in 5 weeks with my section a stone's throw away, hopefully I'll get a date week after next, I'll be pushing for one anyway so I've got something to work towards.

The day ticking off continues ✅ I've now been living like that since the beginning of my last unsuccessful pregnancy, and all the way through trying, then this one, over a year of just crossing off those days. You all know how it is

SunnySideUp2020 · 18/09/2020 19:03

@ChampooPapi yup i know the ticking off day feeling...
Hope you can get a date soon, it does help a lot!

On my side, we had a flat but the whole thing didn't go through so back to square one. So tired of living with in laws. I cried yesterday!

Also nausea had really calmed down massively for two weeks but now i started vomiting. Before yesterday and today. Seems to be a night think. My body just doesn't digest at all certain things (but never the same obviously) and is just throwing it back up.
It's lovely these days...

I really really hope to see a baby at the scan on Wednesday. 🙄

FireflyGirl · 18/09/2020 22:30

Bless you @SunnySideUp2020. I don't blame you for crying, such a disappointment! No matter how nice your in-laws, it's completely understandable you want your own home.

Vomiting could be a combination of tiredness, stress and anxiety. Just try to take it as easy as possible.

@ChampooPapi it seems to be flying by now, doesn't it? Our car seat arrived yesterday, so we have everything and just need to set it up. Due to WFH, baby's room is currently being used as our home office, but she'll be in with us until 6 months so not panicking (by which point we'll hopefully have our extension completed and can move the office into there).

I pointed out to DH that if baby arrives at the same gestation as DS, she'll be here in 4 weeks.

BS9790 · 19/09/2020 14:56

Picked our pram up today. We took it to my mums house to build it, and have left it there! I haven't played about with it yet, still not allowing myself to be excited!
I've had a tough week, just can't imagine that we are bringing a baby home... The anxiety of something going wrong is just consuming me now.

@ChampooPapi I'm with you on the day ticking... I'll be glad when that's over! .... Xx

Leok83 · 19/09/2020 15:50

@MrsB16 that's such a lovely story💕And Emilia is such a beautiful name! Hope you are all doing great at home now!xx

@SunnySideUp2020 aw I'm sorry the flat fell through. I'd be crying too if I had to live with my inlaws😬 I found my sickness got waaaay worse at 11 weeks..was horrendous then and continues to get worse through week 12 and only easing off now in last couple days. I'm hoping that's it. Still vomiting a bit and mornings are very hairy but I'm almost feeling normal some evenings now! Hopefully it settles for you soon..it's really so bloody miserable feeling like that.

SunnySideUp2020 · 20/09/2020 10:24

Thanks for the understanding. We found another one. Much more expensive but at this point we just said f*ck it.
We are awaiting contract tomorrow. Hopefully landlord doesn't change his mind 😅
It's another really nice big flat. So would be super happy to get it and move in at the weekend!

I am 12w1 today so officially in second trimester 😇🥳 But still feel like i will only relax after Wednesday scan.
@MilsCookie
@ChampooPapi
Do you ladies also have scans this wednesday?

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

SunnySideUp2020 · 20/09/2020 10:27

Well actually baby app says am still in 1st trimester so probably changes at the ens of week 12!!!

MrsB16 · 20/09/2020 11:42

Keeping going @ChampooPapi you are doing amazingly well. Hats off to you twin mamas, I struggled with the weight of one baby and she was only 6lbs 12oz and basically full term! We are having lots of skin to skin snuggles this morning so managed to get a mumsnet friendly photo... enjoy!

Ejb86 · 20/09/2020 13:19

@MrsB16 how beautiful!

1 hour until scan!

SunnySideUp2020 · 20/09/2020 13:56

Good luck @Ejb86 !

Lovely photo @MrsB16 😍❤

TerribleImagination · 20/09/2020 14:22

Awww gorgeous photo @MrsB16 😍

Good luck for your scan @Ejb86! ❤️

I’m 24 weeks today and celebrating a mini milestone of reaching viability! 😍 How’s everyone doing? It’s been warm here in the North West this week, so I’ve had some lovely water retention making me feel MASSIVE haha! The sausage fingers I get when I go for a walk are quite hilarious 😂

Whiffle77 · 20/09/2020 17:36

Keep going @ChampooPapi, I've been feeling the same. Work is so hard at the minute and I'm dragging my way through each day, ticking off one less day of it to do! Feeling quite blue and grumpy. I also seem to have suddenly started panicking about the fact I have very little bought and ready!! Pram and nexttome and thats all...think nesting must be settling in as im sure i have lota of time, but i will be going shopping mad in the next week i think.
Hope your scan was OK @Ejb86 and congrats on 24 weeks @TerribleImagination! Thats a big milestone. Im also getting sausage fingers on walks, its very strange!
Will keep my fingers crossed about the flat @SunnySideUp2020 - I dont know how so many of you have been living with in laws so long - i would be divorced or up for murder by now if I had to live with either sets of parents!
@MrsB16 such a beautiful picture, thank you for sharing! 💞 hope that you are getting on OK.
Lots of love to you @BS9790 I think feeling that way is entirely normal...not much longer to power through.
@FireflyGirl thats no time at all potentially!! Eeek! Hope tour sickness is gone @Leok83

I'm starting to feel very different movements - I can tell they are a lot bigger in there, I keep seeing lumps sticking out my belly which must be limbs, its so strange! Im enjoying it though. Active a lot at night though which is not helping my tiredness...

Ejb86 · 20/09/2020 19:20

@TerribleImagination 24 weeks! Whoop whoop!

Scan went well. We're having a little lady! Grin

FireflyGirl · 20/09/2020 19:35

Beautiful photo @MrsB16, and a great weight. How's your anxiety doing now she's here?

Congratulations on your little girl, @Ejb86! 💕💖 The girls have it at the moment - very much helped by our twins!

@Whiffle77 they tend to sleep while you're active, then wake up when you settle down at night! Naughty monkeys Grin It's so lovely when you can think to yourself 'that's a foot'. I've noticed hiccups this week, which I hadn't before. I think it's because she has moved position.

@TerribleImagination it's such a great feeling once you're there, isn't it? Congratulations!

I've had to cancel my 34 week appointment tomorrow as DS has caught cold from school and started with a 'new, persistent' cough yesterday. He always gets a croupy cough when he gets cold, and it's mostly cleared up today, but we're going to err on the side of caution and get him tested. Been a bit of a farce, but test is now booked for tomorrow morning. 48hr turnaround, so all being well I'll be dumping him at the school gates on Wednesday lunchtime Grin

BecsterG · 20/09/2020 20:37

Great news @Ejb86! What a relief.

Beautiful picture @MrsB16

Good luck for all those with scans this week.

BecsterG · 20/09/2020 20:40

@Whiffle77 the tiredness is real! Yeah we rock them to sleep when we're walking etc so they become active when we sit still if lie still for awhile. Not ideal for sleeping though you're right! Just wait until you're massive and you have to roll over every hour and you have to wale to do it as you're so big it's hard to move! Ha ha this is where I am right now. It's like turning a whale over! 🤣🤣🐋🐋💤
