@chloxhunt it may be worth getting tested. I'm in Ireland so not sure how you'd go about it, but definitely better to know, even if it's just so you isolate and rest.

I have a doppler and can hear the heartbeat (I'm 10+3). Not for everyone, but I love it.

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 21:22

@ValidUser were waiting for him to take a test think he gets his test tomorrow but he's got 3 of the symptoms, I've been around my dad before he had symptoms and i was fine but like i out our stuff in the bin

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 21:24

@ValidUser unfortunately you have to have symptoms to be able to get a test rip

ValidUser · 03/09/2020 21:32

Ah right. Cough plus possible exposure would usually cover you over here. Here's hoping you haven't been exposed. 🤞

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 21:34

@ValidUser yes fingers crossed

EmzG20 · 03/09/2020 21:40

Hi everyone, I've been getting a lot of comfort from watching this thread and now I think I should say hi! I live in South Wales, I'm due 28th march, scan on the 14th, can't come soon enough.

For those of you who had work risk assessments, did you feel obliged to tell your work you were pregnant before your 12w scan? I'd rather keep it to myself while I can, though I already have a bump. I work in a hospital and I wonder if they'll be annoyed that I haven't told them. Doing my own risk assessment I don't think anything would change until 28 weeks or another outbreak.

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 22:33

@Usplusone I had to tell them as I'm a high risk for corona and i was still on furlough due to having to shield otherwise you don't need them to know till 12 weeks

ElsiesJourney · 04/09/2020 05:26

@Sussexbysea be thinking of you today! My insomnia and nocturnal sickness is back.... thank god for Netflix!

DSP21 · 04/09/2020 05:59

@ElsiesJourney Likewise! I'm just sat up in bed going through emails.

@Sussexbysea thinking of you today x

Mercuryfreddie · 04/09/2020 07:24

BatKat · 04/09/2020 08:05

@Sussexbysea so sorry you are dealing with this uncertainty. Will be thinking of you today x

Sussexbysea · 04/09/2020 08:10

Thank you everyone.x

Sussexbysea · 04/09/2020 08:10

I can’t remember who said about the roads leading to the hospital, but they were right!!! 1 hour to move 2 miles

ChilternsHan · 04/09/2020 08:30

@Sussexbysea you've had a very early start! Keeping everything crossed.

it is such a ridiculous road, the main one for buses and emergency vehicles into London. It sometimes took us more than 15 minutes just to turn out the end of our street.

chloxhunt · 04/09/2020 08:53

@Sussexbysea good luck to day! Hope all is well

aureliacecilia · 04/09/2020 08:58

Hope you get some good news today @Sussexbysea

HollieL567 · 04/09/2020 09:11

Hi ladies....freaking myself out today.
11+1 weeks and at around 8 weeks my sickness just suddenly stopped, and I just don't feel pregnant, my last pregnancy (that sadly didn't end well) I was so sick until about 12 - 13 weeks I also had a really stretched feeling in my belly as if I had done an ab workout the whole time which again I don't have this time...I do still have slightly tender nipples and I have been really tired these past few weeks but again this has eased this week but other than that I don't have anything and I'm really worrying myself about a MMC.
Has anyone else had anything similar or just barely any symptoms? Xx

LuHen · 04/09/2020 09:11

@ChubbyMumFromSkye I am totally in the same boat from you symptom wise. Literally nothing now - boobs are still bigger but no longer sore, I've not been sick once and I dont even have nausea now. Just been out for a run like nothings changed and hoping its still alive and kicking in there! Monday isn't long to wait, you must be excited! I am just after you on Tues. How far along are you now? xx

MrsAndMrs · 04/09/2020 09:12

@Sussexbysea thinking of you this morning 🧡

ChilternsHan · 04/09/2020 09:15

@HollieL567 I've had barely any symptoms and the only one remaining now is very slightly sensitive nipples. Mostly I've felt pretty normal since 9+ weeks, if a little tired if I overdo it. Had my 12 week scan on Tues and all was good Smile few symptoms doesn't seem to mean too much as far as I can tell from this thread.

Do you have a date for your 12 week scan?

chloxhunt · 04/09/2020 09:17

@HollieL567 tbh my symptoms are very on an off, my boobs don't hurt at all anymore and my sickness seems to be like every other day or if i allow myself to get hungry

Usplusone · 04/09/2020 09:18

I've had the same. Different to first pregnancy too but I think your body is more accustomed to it second time round. Also, hcg peaks at 9-12 weeks and assuming this causes most symptoms it would make sense that it might start to ease off.

Can't believe traffic can be still bad! Good luck today @Sussexbysea

DSP21 · 04/09/2020 09:31

@HollieL567 I had the same as you, I didn't have very many symptoms to begin with but I did have fatigue, sore boobs, waves of nausea that all seemed to disappear overnight at 9 weeks and all is okay for me at 10+6. Nausea started creeping back in last couple days but I obsessed over it, spoke to the gp, the epu and eventually the priv scan put my mind at ease.
