@Sussexbysea I so hope this is nothing. x

@Mercuryfreddie I'm glad all is looking well.

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 03/09/2020 19:44

@Sussexbysea so sorry you have had some difficult news, fingers crossed that all will be well tomorrow 💞

I am feeling a lot less sick today than normal so I am now worrying about my scan on Monday :(
Crazy how we all panic at the sickness/other symptoms getting better and think the worst rather than be relieved we are feeling better.

Hope everyone else is having a good day, so glad it is Friday tomorrow as we are going away for the weekend for a much needed break.

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 03/09/2020 19:45

@Mercuryfreddie great news, so pleased it went well today 💞

DSP21 · 03/09/2020 20:00

Hey fellow mums-to-be,

After a bit of a bumpy ride I had my private scan at 10+5 today and much to my relief all looks good! Baby had strong heartbeat and measured 10+2. Baby wasn't as clear as I thought it would be at 10 weeks, and also felt really rushed, got a crappy scan picture that looks like a blob and nothing like what we saw on the screen and just felt the whole priv scan experience was shoddy considering you're paying for it.

Can't complain though as starting to feel a little excited!

Phie04 · 03/09/2020 20:11

@DSP21 sorry you felt so rushed... I agree that the pictures are not the best, I couldn't even make out which part was the baby with mine! I started feeling rather down and crappy about my pregnancy last week, but since the 12 week scan and seeing them move and wriggle around I'm so much more excited!! I've been looking at all sorts online and making spreadsheets. Can't wait to see them again next week.

NoGinNotComingIn · 03/09/2020 20:11

@Sussexbysea so sorry you got bad news at your scan, hopefully it’ll be fine at your second scan tomorrow.

@aureliacecilia my other children are 18 months apart so not quite as mad as it sounds saying they are 3 and 4. Still wasn’t the easiest for a good 18 months/2 years!

I’m 15 weeks tomorrow, starting to get the beginnings of a belly, although if you didn’t know me before you wouldn’t think I was pregnant, more like a post Christmas dinner belly! I might have to tell my parents soon as they might guess, I’ve been wearing loose fitting jumpers etc when I see them but knowing particularly my mum she’ll notice. Was hoping to hold off a few more weeks.

HollieL567 · 03/09/2020 20:13

@sussexbysea sorry to hear that I am keeping everything crossed that it turns out to be nothing serious at all! I know this feeling though of having to wait to see a consultant the next day 💞

I've just had to have my tooth taken out, it's not too painful just a bit tender but does anyone know it's it's normal that it's still oozing a little blood every now and then...I had it extracted at around 2:30 today xx
p.s I'm in Skegness Lincolnshire & all being well would like the idea of FB group!

Oldermum80 · 03/09/2020 20:17

@Sussexbysea thinking of you. I hope you manage to get some sleep and that everything is ok tomorrow.

@DSP21 i am so happy for you. Sorry it wasn’t as good as you hoped but after all the anxiety it must be such a relief.

JTB123 · 03/09/2020 20:20

@Sussexbysea praying for good news for you tomorrow ❤️ sorry about your experience today xx

spierse · 03/09/2020 20:24

@Sussexbysea so so sorry you are going through this, my sister had a similar experience and the baby was fine, though she went through hell with worry, we just had his 21st birthday this year and he has graduated from uni with a first class degree in computer engineering! So please please wait for all of the tests to be done before you worry yourself to death, I know that is easier said than done but I am praying for you that it all turns out ok ❤❤ stay strong x

JTB123 · 03/09/2020 20:24

@HollieL567 small world I'm Lincoln 😁💓

MrsAndMrs · 03/09/2020 20:29

@DSP21 great news about your scan!! Disappointing that you felt rushed and didn't enjoy the experience, I felt that about my private scan I had at 7 wks so I tried a different private clinic for 11wks and it was a completely different experience, the sonographer was so lovely and gave us extta videos etc. It was like chalk and cheese! Some clinics are not about the couples experience sadly......😕 hopefully your next scan will be a much better experience! 🤞🏼

spierse · 03/09/2020 20:29

@chloxhunt I have the same for last 2 weeks, I looked it up and its yet another wonderful result of the hormones! My nose is a mess, I sneeze daily (which I hate as I feel like I will sneeze the baby out!) And I have a cough caused by my snotty nose dripping into my throat (sorry tmi!)

holb54 · 03/09/2020 20:30

@ChubbyMumFromSkye countdown to our scans now Monday, so nervous

@HollieL567 oh God I had a tooth extracted Tuesday and I've had an awful experience, ended up developing a dry socket. Think the bleeding is normal for the few hours after, see how it goes tomorrow and if it's still bleeding maybe ring your dentist? Horrible when you can't take strong pain killers 😓

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 20:33

@spierse sneeze the baby out 😂 I feel like mines a dry cough but that might've been coursed by me being sick yesterday

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 03/09/2020 20:37

@holb54 it's exciting but I am really nervous after having a relatively nausea-free day today.

@DSP21 what a shame you felt rushed esp at a private scan! Glad all is well for you though 💞

DSP21 · 03/09/2020 20:46

Thank you everyone!

I did notice that baby was squished right against the sides of the uterus which could indicate low amniotic fluid. Not sure if I can remedy this by drinking more water going forward?

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 20:59

@DSP21 I hope that's not the case! I keep worrying about that myself as I don't drink enough water

DSP21 · 03/09/2020 21:05

@chloxhunt me neither! I naturally just don't get thirsty. You mentioned you were size 4, I am (was) too so I wonder if it's a skinny thing! I hope i'm providing enough to baby

Babafarmer · 03/09/2020 21:05

@DSP21 fabulous. So pleased you are able to relax a bit

@Sussexbysea I'm so sorry you are going through this. Did the tell you what your measurement was? What time are they seeing you tomorrow. I have everything crossed for you that it's ok and that they give you some answers tomorrow xx

HollieL567 · 03/09/2020 21:05

@JTB123 Omg really!! Very small world!! 😯💕

@holb54 oh no really! This is what's really worried me as a colleague and a friend have had dry socket and my friend said it's more common in pregnancy apparently?! And it freaked me out as they have said it was the worst pain they have ever felt and like you say without being able to take an pain relief! I will see how it goes on really hoping it just heals normally!

Mrs1989 · 03/09/2020 21:06

@DSP21 great news that all looked good at your scan, really happy for you Smile But sorry you felt rushed and that the service was a bit shoddy. There must be quite a difference between clinics. Aside from the fact that the toilet facilities weren’t great at mine (and we had to use those instead of sanitiser stations which I was a bit surprised by) the whole experience was fantastic and we were given time to look at the different images taken so we could choose the best one to take home. My clinic was Window to the Womb and they are based all over. I would definitely use my local one again xxx

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 21:12

@DSP21 maybe it is? I seem to be struggling to drink water and let's it's hot 😂 but hopefully we're drinking enough for the baby

holb54 · 03/09/2020 21:14

@HollieL567 I didn't know about it being more common in pregnancy! It's been a nightmare but mine sounds way different to yours so I wouldn't worry, I was in agony shortly after and weirdly had no blood at all! Hope it clears up quick for you ❣

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 21:15

On my first shift back to work i worked with someone who might have covid I am so so scared! I'm high risk even without the pregnancy but because he didn't have any symptoms the day i worked with him I'm hoping I'm okay 🥺😭
