@chloxhunt I had a couple of migraines which I never have in my life, normally I don't even get headaches, I have to say 4Head is a miracle voodoo stick, I have no idea how it works but it does!
@Phie04 thanks for that, might be the case as I have completely gone off all red meat and generally my diet has consisted of cereal, bread and fish in breadcrumbs!! Healthy!!! I literally feel like I have been run over by a truck some days I'm so tired

@Phie04 yeah I've found that coco pops i can eat but once I've finished them I'll feel so ill

Lovely scans ladies!

I'm not convinced that DH coming to a scan should be a problem. If they control the waiting room (limited numbers, set arrival times or call from the carpark) then one person in with me surely wouldn't be a crowd? We are a household: If he's got it then I do too so the risk isn't that much higher.
I've got my scan 2 weeks tomorrow. It's our first, so I'd really like him there (for good or bad).
I'm debating whether or not to go private before then to be sure he can come. I like to keep things simple so extra scans don't appeal to me (I'm struggling to articulate 'why' I think like that, but it's just not me).
If it's bothering me this much then maybe I should just go for it. My head is all over the place. Hubby just says 'it's up to you' 😦

@Thack I'm in the same boat i really want him to come in with me, think we're talking about a private scan around 16 weeks so he can come in

Hey all! Congratulations to those who have had scans and good luck for those coming up. My scan is booked for 13 weeks so a bit anxious at getting results in time for more testing. I had the NIPT results back today. Low risk for all x

10 days til my 12 week scan....this is going to drag, I just know it! 😩

I had a private scan today. 10 weeks and it all looks okay. I’m still nervous about it though!

When’s your NHS scan? I’m very lucky that my other half can come in with me. Private scan centres must be rolling in it at the moment, especially as so many hospitals don’t allow partners

My husband was allowed in thankfully, although he had to sit on a chair in a box marked on the floor and not move, then leave straight after the scan while I did the other part of the appointment.

The nurse and sonographer I saw yesterday seemed to be quite cross about the guidelines around partners, said a few times that the decision was from higher ups and that they hadn't been asked for their advice on it at all.

@Sussexbysea Mines been in knots since last week! I can't help preparing for the best and the worst news. I still haven't got my 12 week scan date, they said it would come the week before, so likely next week sometime. It's all going veeeeery slow for me!

@DSP21 it’s such a loooooong 12 weeks isn’t it. But the next 6 months will fly by!! Once Christmas is here, we’ll all be weeks away from baby.

I'm from Watford, just outside of nw London

I have my scan date it's the 15th September at 2.30pm. It's at a different hospital because it's twins but only 10 mins away. The date I didn't really want as it's my dds first birthday but I'm not rearranging as it's taken me ages to sort this one out. It took another half hour on the phone to admin this morning before it got sorted. I'll be 14 week so hopefully nice clear pictures xx

I'm from a town in Buckinghamshire.

When is everyone planning to start buying bits? I'm not planning any major purchases yet, or anything particularly practical, but my husband has asked if he can buy a couple of cute pieces of clothing and I'm not sure yet.

Just something to mention to anyone waiting for their scan, I had my apt through and it said no partners. I actually called just to double check and they explained that yesterday this changed to allow partners, but I wouldn't have known. Might be worth a shot a few days before your date! I will have mine at 13 weeks as they were a bit slow, next Tues so less than a week now.

@ChilternsHan I think as long as you've had the 12 week scan it's ok to buy a few bits! It helps to get you feeling excited I think. Everyone feels differently, I'll be putting together a spreadsheet for sure at some point!

Can't keep coco pops down so ordered a McDonald's breakfast instead 😂
