Great scan! Measuring right on track for 10+1, and dancing around in there!

Scans pics are lovely! Delighted for all the mammies. I have mine tomorrow, I’ll be 12+5. Partners still aren’t allowed in here so dp will have to sit in the car unfortunately.

Sussexbysea · 01/09/2020 19:01

@TheFoz at 12+5, your picture will be great!! I’ll be 12+4 so I’m hoping the a good picture too.

Anyone else tomorrow?

ChilternsHan · 01/09/2020 19:05

@Sussexbysea thanks for checking in.

All good for me! I had filled my bladder too much so the baby was sort of squashed into a sitting up position, but lay back and relaxed once I'd used the loo. Wriggling around in there.

A fairly long wait to get bloods etc done, and they didn't manage to take quite as much as needed so more at 16 week appointment.

@Babafarmer those are great scan pics, so clear - congrats!

@ChilternsHan @ValidUser so pleased your scans went well. X

Sussexbysea · 01/09/2020 19:13

@ChilternsHan oh so lovely, it’s been a great day for scans ladies. You must all feel amazing. Have you started to tell your families and friends?

Mrs1989 · 01/09/2020 19:18

Congratulations @ValidUser and @ChilternsHan! Beautiful pics xxx

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 01/09/2020 19:40

Great scan pics @ValidUser and @ChilternsHan 🌟

chloxhunt · 01/09/2020 20:15

Twice this week I haven't been able to take folic acid due to not feel well or being able to eat ugh

Sussexbysea · 01/09/2020 20:18

@chloxhunt I have to take 10 tablets a day, I struggle each day too

chloxhunt · 01/09/2020 20:21

@Sussexbysea ahhh no! I feel bad for not taking it but at the same time i physically can't take it as I haven't got enough in my stomach

Phie04 · 01/09/2020 20:24

@chloxhunt you should really be taking it at this critical stage. Have you tried taking it in the middle of meals instead of after? I struggled at the beginning too but I tried it whilst eating instead of afterwards every night and it made a huge difference. I know it's hard, the thought of taking them makes me gag even tho my sickness has pretty much gone!

Another thing I'm struggling with is brushing my teeth. As soon as that toothbrush hits those molars my body just wrenches 🤢

Phie04 · 01/09/2020 20:29

@ChilternsHan great pic! Congrats 😁.

Thanks to everyone who has messaged. I am very happy about the pic as my other scans were just blobs lol so now I can see a little head my heart just keeps melting when I look at it. I haven't been able to put the scan down today I just keep looking and smiling!

Although I'm disappointed about the measurements not being done today etc at least I get to see baby again next week! The sonographer was making me do all sorts of funny movements to move baby as they were head down with legs up in the air. Was funny and cute to see.

@Sussexbysea we've told more people today but will tell close family and friends by the end of the week. Not sharing the news online though until much later

Phie04 · 01/09/2020 20:31

@chloxhunt So sorry I misread your message and now I sound like I'm judging you!! Only missing it twice should be fine, I've missed mine a few times by accident and I agree it makes you feel guilty! Are you able to eat any small amounts of food during the day like crackers or toast? Even taking the tablets with those should help x

chloxhunt · 01/09/2020 20:40

@Phie04 honestly the two days that be missed them is because I can't eat, the only thing I can eat right now is chocolate and it says to eat them on a full stomach! I'm just glad I'm 12 weeks next week lol

Phie04 · 01/09/2020 21:01

@chloxhunt lol I feel you on that one. My diet has been awful to tell the truth the only things I could manage was crisps, sandwiches and chocolate! Oh and biscuits. OH kept giving me fruit and I just pushed it away. I guess thats why you need to take these antenatal vitamins so baby isn't starved of goodness! Luckily my appetite has come back and currently waiting on a veggie shepherds pie in the oven with all the trimmings 😁. Find it hard waiting this late to eat but OH works until late in a bar. Sometimes I cave and just tel him to make his own lol!

spierse · 01/09/2020 21:08

My food is mostly beige, and I throw up within 2 hours of most meals, at least I'm not throwing up immediately so I feel like at least some of it is getting digested. I take my vitamins last thing at night right before I sleep that way I know I haven't puked them up!!!

spierse · 01/09/2020 21:11

I will say though I do feel like my symptoms are easing, around weeks 5 to 8 I thought I would die i felt so bad all the time with horrific nausea and headaches, the last few weeks it seems to have eased and my major thing is overwhelming tiredness, I have to sleep most afternoons and if I do anything slightly strenuous I am wiped out, anyone else having the same?

Phie04 · 01/09/2020 21:11

@spierse sorry you're having such a tough time with sickness. Hopefully it eases soon and thats a good idea about taking before bed at least baby is getting what they need

chloxhunt · 01/09/2020 21:13

@Phie04 ah no! I've only been sick once thank goodness, I tend to get starving to the point I feel like I'm going to be sick even if i ate an hour ago 😂 I've even gone off pizza and i love pizza and pickles, I just keep snacking on chocolate and sweets as that seems to be the only thing I can stomach

Phie04 · 01/09/2020 21:14

@spierse the tiredness hit me hard around 4-6 weeks and found out my iron was really low. I have been getting tired more easily though since my levels have gone back up. Had to have a 2.5 hour nap today I was that shattered. Don't feel bad we deserve it, after all we are growing a human 😁

chloxhunt · 01/09/2020 21:15

@spierse aw no! I seem to get a weekly migraine where I lose my vision and my left or right hand will go numb and my lips will tingle, I'm expecting it tomorrow as it seems to be a Wednesday i get them

TheFoz · 01/09/2020 21:19

@Sussexbysea the scan I had at 7+6 was pretty decent but I’m really looking forward to this one. It’ll be lovely to see them.
@Phie04 I’m the same with brush my teeth, especially in the morning, I gag something terrible.
@spierse I’ve found my tiredness has eased off, how many weeks are you?

chloxhunt · 01/09/2020 21:21

@TheFoz I wish my tiredness has eased I have to have a nap at 5 or I'll feel ill lol

Phie04 · 01/09/2020 21:27

@chloxhunt I think eating sugary things help with sickness. Some mornings I felt that I'll I just finished off my snacks from the night before because the thought of carbs or cereal just made me feel worse
