@ChilternsHan it's very upsetting. I've had to tell him whilst he's at work and now going to spend the rest of the day devastated. At least he will see the scan picture.

We're also going for a gender scan in 4.5 weeks so its not too long before he gets to see baby!

SnickerdoodleSnek · 31/08/2020 13:10

@Phie04 Oh no, that's absolutely rubbish of them to tell you so last minute! 😩

@chloxhunt Best of luck today!

MrsAndMrs · 31/08/2020 13:28

@Phie04 that is such a shame! Are you able to facetime him whilst in there? They were recommending that whilst visitors were banned at my trust...its not the same but might help a little?

@chloxhunt hope your first day back is going well!

chloxhunt · 31/08/2020 13:29

@MrsAndMrs @SnickerdoodleSnek thank
You!!

EmzG20 · 31/08/2020 14:14

Hi ladies, just read back through the posts as I've not been on for a few days.
I've just been out walking with family and my ankle have way, I've fallen onto the pavement scraped all my hand but I also managed to land on my tummy I'm about 10 weeks pregnant. My tummy is sore, don't know whether I should go and get checked out my 12 week scan is on the 8th September

LottieDot · 31/08/2020 14:21

@Phie04 that's such a shame, telling you so late too! My symptoms keep coming and going and my private scan on Saturday went well so fingers crossed for you.

@EmzG20 You poor thing. They're well protected in there so don't worry too much but I'd ring your midwife for advice just to be doubley sure.

Phie04 · 31/08/2020 14:29

@MrsAndMrs facetiming is a really good idea thanks for the suggestion!

holb54 · 31/08/2020 14:47

@spierse glad to see somebody else who watches RHOBH to relax Grin

@EmzG20 I'm sure baby is fine but if you need peace of mind, contact your doctor or midwife and I'm sure they'll help ❣

SnickerdoodleSnek · 31/08/2020 16:38

@EmzG20 Oh gosh, hope you're okay! Just keep an eye on how you're feeling and call your midwife if you're worried. It's what they're there for 😊

@MrsAndMrs Facetiming is a great idea! I might ask at my scan if I can call hubby so he can see the scan. My anxiety will be through the roof going in without him!

ValidUser · 31/08/2020 17:22

@EmzG20 no harm in getting checked if you're concerned.

I'm ten weeks today. Next scan tomorrow. Sending off our NIPT on Wednesday. We'll find out the sex after that.

ChilternsHan · 31/08/2020 20:17

@EmzG20 hope you're ok and got some reassurance from your midwife.

Feeling a bit emotional ahead of the scan tomorrow. I had a dream last night that I had to go for it in a prison hospital and there'd been a violent attack in the ward. Then I got stuck in a lift... not anxious about it at all Confused

Phie04 · 31/08/2020 20:21

@ChilternsHan what time is your scan?

EmzG20 · 31/08/2020 20:47

Thanks for the messages. I haven't been able to speak to anyone today but have tried to rest as much as possible. I'll contact my midwife tomorrow if I'm still aching and unsure.

ChilternsHan · 31/08/2020 20:50

@Phie04 not until 3.50. What about yours?

JTB123 · 31/08/2020 20:51

Hoping I get my 12 week scan letter soon! Midwife thinks I'm 10+2 but I'm only 9 today, so I imagine I will be rescanned anyway. 🤞🏼

aureliacecilia · 31/08/2020 20:57

Absolutely amazing that some of you will know baby's sex very soon. That's lovely. We're hoping to find out at 20 weeks.

Phie04 · 31/08/2020 21:05

@ChilternsHan 9.30am! Don't know how my body will react to being up and about so early! Have been a bit of a couch potato since March 😂 luckily I start my new job in October so resting as much as I can before mayhem starts!

SnickerdoodleSnek · 31/08/2020 22:26

Best of luck with your scans @Phie04 and @ChilternsHan! Keeping everything crossed for you both.

Mine's next Friday and I'm a mix of dreading it and desperately impatient for it to happen! If all goes well we'll be doing the tour of telling family straight after so I'm hoping everything is okay.

Phie04 · 31/08/2020 22:31

Thanks @SnickerdoodleSnek I'm sure everything will be fine for next week!

Aurora124 · 31/08/2020 22:37

Good luck to everyone with scans tomorrow. Looking forward to your lovely pictures.

LandMammal · 01/09/2020 06:37

just caught up after reading 12 pages worth of messages 🤪

Home births- MLU in the hospital are very nice (dimmed lights, radio/tv, ensuite, pool, cushions etc.) so if you live far from hosital or just want that peace of mind that emergency help is around the corner, then I'd highly recommend 💜 I am lucky to have had 2 v.quick stress free births at the units. They couldn't fill the pool quickly enough for me to have a water birth thpugh, so maybe 3rd time lucky 😅

Re-usable nappies - We use both disposables and re-usables (Milovia), found them easy to use and running out of nappies has never been an issue!!

@DSP21 I can empathise with the back ache. I had it bad for months post birth (weak core strength and poor posture) and my women's helath physio recommended yoga with Adriene (free on youtube). She has some prenatal stuff on there too. I found her a god send with my last pregnancy m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ho9em79_0qg

LuHen · 01/09/2020 07:13

Ah good luck for your scans today guys, will be thinking of you both.

@LandMammal thanks for your words if wisdom - always great to hear from someone experienced! We are lucky to have two lovely MLU close to us too, they look really nice!

ChilternsHan · 01/09/2020 07:34

Thanks for the good luck wishes!

@LandMammal big yoga with Adrienne fan here, although I lost a bit of confidence practicing and knowing which poses were ok in this first trimester. But you've reminded me I should pick it up again!

Babafarmer · 01/09/2020 08:22

@Phie04 @ChilternsHan OMG it's the long awaited scan day. It's going to be such a long morning and feel totally sick. X

ChilternsHan · 01/09/2020 08:38

@Babafarmer can't believe it's here. The anxiety is real this morning, hoping I can distract myself with work but not sure how successful I'll be!
