@krj2608 I've just caught up with the messages and noticed what happened. I'm absolutely heart broken for you!. You have been through so much already, this just isn't fair for you. I really hope you are taking care of yourself. You will get there and look back and see it wasn't meant to be because your next one will be so amazing. Take care xx

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 29/08/2020 19:01

@PhotoMum4 thank you so much for posting this!!! I have sent the link to DH - he is SO understanding but I don't think he gets just how ill I feel - I tried explaining to him today that how I feel is the same as when you have a sickness bug and the moment you are running to the toilet covering your mouth about to spew is how I feel All. Day. Every. Day! I think he gets it a bit more now 😊

@Bearcub01 I am 11+5 and this began at 6 weeks but not TOO bad. From 7weeks, it was horrendous and feels like every day is worse than the day before.
I have lost half a stone in the last few weeks, have been prescribed cyclizine (didn't work), then metoclopramide which worked for about 4 days then wasn't helping the nausea and was making me feel awful with the side effects - fuzzy head, dry mouth, generally felt shite so stopped taking that.
I might phone the doc on Monday to say I want to try something else but all anti-emetics cause drowsiness so was thinking about trying an antihistamine instead to see if that works.
How far along are you? Are you still suffering?

SnickerdoodleSnek · 29/08/2020 19:08

Hello lovely people!

Took me ages to realise the previous thread was full haha 🙈 so glad to find this one!

I'm 9+6 weeks, and my scan is Sept 11th. Originally it was planned for the morning of the 14th but I work in a school and getting a Monday morning off would have been nigh on impossible!

Honestly I'm so nervous. I've read so many of the posts in this and the previous thread about people having MMC and losing baby early on, and my heart breaks for you that have experienced this. It's honestly my biggest fear for my scan, but I don't think I want to have an earlier scan.

I'm also hating the fact that DH can't come in with me. It's something I want us to experience together, so I'm anxious about going in alone and not having him there.

On the plus side, it's been lovely to see your scans! I'm crossing everything humanly possible that I'll be able to do the same thing in two weeks. ❤️

Bearcub01 · 29/08/2020 19:39

@ChubbyMumFromSkye I’m 10+2, I’m still suffering. I have good days and bad days but I’m still so weak and just generally feel like crap! I’m on cyclizine which helps me keep food down but I’m still sick sometimes and just constantly feeling yukky and groggy. I still can’t function really, I can make it to the sofa and that’s it, my OH gets me food every couple of hours. I don’t know if that’s normal or if I should be asking for something stronger. Hoping it eases off soon!!

chloxhunt · 29/08/2020 19:57

@SnickerdoodleSnek aw ours is the same day!

SnickerdoodleSnek · 29/08/2020 20:02

@chloxhunt Oh wonderful! Scan buds! Are you having to go in alone too? I'm dreading that part! My hubby will be sat outside but I'm hoping the rules will change by then...

chloxhunt · 29/08/2020 20:04

@SnickerdoodleSnek yeah he has to wait in his car! It's so sad them not being able to come in and see it though!

SnickerdoodleSnek · 29/08/2020 20:08

@chloxhunt Ugh that sucks! Sorry you're having to go alone too. I'm trying not to let the anxiety get to me. Luckily my midwife has given me the option of mental health support if I'm struggling. I'm hoping it won't come to that 😩

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 29/08/2020 20:16

@Bearcub01 oh no, it is just horrendous isn't it? That's great your OH is so helpful, we lucked out!
I have realised I can't have anything I have smelled cooking so today I managed a ham sandwich. 💪🏻
I can also manage cold ham & mushroom pizza (that was cooked elsewhere!)
The rest is toast, ice lolly and yogurt.

Aurora124 · 29/08/2020 20:23

@SnickerdoodleSnek I'm so anxious too! I've been so naive about everything involving miscarriages, I had no idea so many things could go wrong! I didn't think there was such a thing as MMC i always thought you bled. I've never been so worried..I'm 38 and extremely worried about everything since i'm high risk 😔

chloxhunt · 29/08/2020 20:30

@SnickerdoodleSnek aw! Everything will be okay! I try to stay calm as much as possible as bad moods and anxiety isn't good for the baby and I have a saying that everything happens for a reason so I'm just letting whatever will be, be

SnickerdoodleSnek · 29/08/2020 20:33

@Aurora124 Oh bless you! I absolutely sympathise with the anxieties. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for you.

I'm at risk too since I'm on the bigger side. I've been trying my hardest to eat healthily and exercise just to keep from any unnecessary weight gain. I know the risks to baby and I'm hoping things will go well, but it doesn't always assuage the anxiety.

SnickerdoodleSnek · 29/08/2020 20:34

@chloxhunt That's a good attitude to have! On the whole I'm staying positive, but I usually have to distract myself so I don't start overthinking. 😂

chloxhunt · 29/08/2020 20:48

@SnickerdoodleSnek don't worry I've already had a dream that it was an ectopic pregnancy and it was a very vivid dream 😂😂 I'm just looking forward to go back to work on Monday i work around the food I cannot stand right now lol

SnickerdoodleSnek · 29/08/2020 21:00

@chloxhunt Oh gosh, I hope you can manage it without MS taking over!

I've been very lucky with mine as I've not been sick, but I've had a LOT of bad nausea. I have a weird fear of being sick though so I'd like to avoid it if I can! Water has been my best friend so far.

chloxhunt · 29/08/2020 21:55

@SnickerdoodleSnek I'm just hoping I'm not in kitchen lok😂
Yeah I've only been sick once due to morning sickness other wise it's like i could eat a meal an hour ago then suddenly I'm starving and it's a i need to eat now or I'll be sick, I've been dry heaving more than anything but I guess it's cause I didn't have anything in my stomach to bring up lol, I keep having to have naps though otherwise I'll feel ill so idk how I'm going to get on at work 😂

Charlotte2020 · 29/08/2020 22:06

Bit of a random question- when are you all going to start using stretch mark cream/bio oil? (If at all) x

SnickerdoodleSnek · 29/08/2020 22:18

@chloxhunt Fingers crossed you're not around the food! I absolutely know what you mean about the nausea and needing to eat! I can go from being fine to hunger-induced nausea and light headedness so fast!

Have you told your workplace yet? I'm considering telling mine after my scan tbh. I'm worried about the reaction though since it's a new job!

Taylortyler · 29/08/2020 22:42

@Charlotte2020 I wasn't going to use it- I do know someone who spent £300 on bio oil throughout her pregnancy and had a morning and night massage routine with it, not get a single stretch mark and then she was devastated when she had to have a c-Sec and was left with a scar anyway! But I think it's personal preference and if you have a particularly good stomach I could understand wanting to keep it smooth and clear - I think stretch marks are genetic in that you're either really prone to them or not

Babafarmer · 29/08/2020 23:44

@Charlotte2020 I'm 12 weeks today so started using mama mio and bio oil. I git stretch marks as a teenager so what to try and minimise the damage.

Has any one else around 11/12 notice their boobs get smaller and no longer heavy. This is this weeks worry. Tuesdays scan can't come quick enough x

NoGinNotComingIn · 30/08/2020 03:10

@Charlotte2020 I started at about 7 weeks or so. This is my 3rd and I didn't get a single stretch mark with the first or second following the same routine. I just use cheap and cheerful johnsons baby oil on my belly, bum and thighs religiously once a day before bed (I aimed for twice but I never arsed in the morning). My mums stretch marks are still horrific 27 years after she had her last child so I don't think it's good genes in my case. Hoping to avoid them with our 3rd and final baby too!

chloxhunt · 30/08/2020 07:42

@SnickerdoodleSnek I told mine straight away due to me having a health condition anyway and due to covid which is why tomorrow is my first shift since March lol

ChilternsHan · 30/08/2020 08:57

@Babafarmer I don't think mine have gotten smaller, but so much less sore and sensitive so I'm not quite so aware of them.

I'm at 11+5 today and I just feel less pregnant than I have the whole time... any small symptoms I do have are so vague I could easily be imagining them. I've been managing (mostly) to reassure myself the whole way through that few symptoms doesn't mean anything, and now I'm approaching 12 weeks I'm telling myself it's natural for them to be easing off. I'm trying to feel lucky for it too, but with my scan on Tues and seeing the sad news of MMC from some of the women here, the anxiety is definitely ramping up.

Babafarmer · 30/08/2020 09:01

@ChilternsHan my 10 week scan really helped me feel more relaxed but the then reading the said news really increased my anxiety.
I don't have an symptoms at all apart from feeling a bit tired. My boobs are no longer so at all. And they seem smaller but maybe because they aren't as swollen. I'm really worried and can't help thinking the worst. X

DSP21 · 30/08/2020 09:17

@ChilternsHan this is EXACTLY how I feel, and I feel like I can't express the anxiety because it's just being negative and I don't want to project that onto my husband or you lovely ladies. I haven't had a scan since 7 weeks and I'm now over 10, with 2 bouts of bleeding and baby measuring over a week small I just can't help expecting the worst. Have a priv scan on Thurs and absolutely dreading it, but would definitely rather know now than wait another 2 weeks to find out on my own at the hospital
