@CharlieBalf it's not too bad to be honest iv had it since about 20 (13 years) so I'm pretty used to it! It must be difficult being really big, my baby is apparently big but I don't feel my bump is as big as it was with my first, and my mobility is still good so feeling really lucky!

@StrawberrySprinkles iv had some nausea in third trimester as I did in my first but hasn't been too bad the past few days. Apparently it's quite common for it to come back, but now we know it won't last long!

Treacle81 · 14/09/2020 17:33

Hi girls! Mw squeezed me in for the strep B swab so that was good. Hand has just been throbbing all day! Been up since 4 and not managed to sleep due to tightenings so I am walking around like a zombie! 🧟‍♀️ I have went from terrible constipation to the complete opposite also and know it can be a sign things are progressing. Just feel it in myself today, just feel different. My poor friend who was due on Fri is mighty fed up, her induction is booked for 23rd, 12 days over so she's not too happy. Hope she goes naturally before that and pray I don't need induced! Defo could not do a 4 hr car journey, I'd have them come to you. I had nausea but its gone again thankfully and omeprazole has taken heartburn away xx

justanothermamma · 14/09/2020 18:06

@MrsK89 @StrawberrySprinkles I'm with you on the sickness front, had it bad first trimester this pregnancy and the last and it's back this pregnancy which has shocked me as it didn't happen with DD. It's exhausting! That paired with heart palpitations and feeling like I can't breathe. I keep reminding myself how worth it all this will be in the end!

@Indigogirl88 That sounds stressful! Could they not stay somewhere nearby for the night so you don't have to travel? Or maybe meet halfway so it's not as far?

@Treacle81 Your poor friend! 12 days?! With my last pregnancy I had an induction booked 5 days over (luckily DD cam naturally) but 12 days seems waaay too long, she must be so fed up bless her! Sounds like things might be happening for you though, eek!!

I'm so tired I can barely keep my eyes open but I've been trying to nap for the last two hours with no luck whatsoever, baby is jiggling about, I can't stop peeing and my back, legs and pelvis are throbbing with SPD and sciatica after I stupidly decided to walk DD to the park and back this morning for playgroup. What we do to our bodies is insane isn't it?

bluemoon2468 · 14/09/2020 18:09

Hi everyone 😊 Went for in for my follow up monitoring that was recommended as I refused induction at triage yesterday. No change really - baby is fine and contractions looked very similar to yesterday in terms of intensity and frequency. They're happy to send me home to let things pan out naturally (midwife made a bit of a sarky comment about doctors in triage always trying to induce women for no good reason, and said well done to me for saying no 😆). She said I'm definitely in early labour and my cervix is making changes but that it could last any length of time from a day or so to a couple of weeks, so I'm trying not to get too excited! Just feels exactly like I'm on my period having irregular period pains now, keep going to the toilet expecting to see blood!

LostinAusten2 · 14/09/2020 18:16

So exciting @bluemoon2468 - sending you very best wishes!

And so sorry those whose nausea has come back, mine hasn’t yet but I think I’m just a week or so behind so expect it’s just around the corner! Did just have really helpful physio call on my new SPD and can go and get crutches on Wednesday 🥳 - figure dignity’s already gone and best to try to keep walking a bit.

LexiM · 14/09/2020 20:06

@bluemoon2468 I am super excited for you, I hope things progress for you. It seems to me that they are so keen to induce for so many things now, and not all essential, I'm glad to be informed in order to make a decision if needed.

Sorry to all those feeling sick. I feel grateful I only feel sick a tiny bit throughout the day. It's not something anyone needs along with all the other aches and pains!

@Treacle81 fingers crossed your friends baby comes before the induction date. I'm not sleeping well either. Mine is tightenings too, I cant relax. I was awake from 2.30am this morning to about 6.30am. I've been feeling so tired all day and then fell asleep in front of the tv at 6PM. I'm sure I will still go to sleep ok later as feeling tired. I dont find it too hard to get to sleep but then I get uncomfortable and wake up easily.

Treacle81 · 14/09/2020 20:10

Well done sticking up for yourself @bluemoon2468, I hope to think I have the balls to do the same, as really don't fancy induction. @justanothermamma if that wasn't bad enough she's booked in at 8pm that evening!! Just told her she needs to try everything, she got sweep earlier and was 1 cm dilated but cervix still thick. @LostinAusten2 aww are you in that much pain walking, that's a shame, not much longer hopefully! I've started getting a cramp in what feels like upper leg thigh atra, just tonight, not great. It's like my restless leg but usually get it in calf. Appetite isn't as big as well I've noticed xx

BettyBotter1 · 14/09/2020 20:13

@bluemoon2468 ooh exciting! Did they give you a reason for wanting to induce if you don't mind me asking? Hope you can rest well and sleep.
@LostinAusten2 sorry about your SPD, I hope crutches help
@justanothermamma that sounds very uncomfortable I hope you get some relief soon and a good night's sleep.
@Treacle81 I was told 12 days over is the standard maximum if you go overdue. Hopefully your friend will go naturally long before that date comes round.
I'm in the looser bowels club. Thought it might've been the chinese takeaway I ate at the weekend but maybe a sign things are progressing as I'm in good company here!
I've ordered myself a step b home test kit 👍
Anyone else drooling when you sleep?! I've heard it can be a pregnancy symptom but maybe I've just developed a new habit!

Spark27 · 14/09/2020 20:27

Exciting news @bluemoon2468. We'll all be watching you.

Had a difficult afternoon. DD has been a little s**t. Really trying my patience and screaming and crying for no reason. Was so pleased when DH came home. But even after 30mins of being home his patience had been worn pretty thin. So pleased it's a nursery day tomorrow. And now I'm off work I dont have anything I have to do. Think I'm actually going to try and relax, and throw the last few things in my hospital bag.

CharlieBalf · 14/09/2020 20:37

Yep, big drooler here @BettyBotter1 🤣 Pregnancy causes an excess of saliva so I've read. Regularly wake up with a little wet pool on my pillow.

Feeling all kinds of tightness down below as baby wriggles about. There's no room baby!

bluemoon2468 · 14/09/2020 20:56

Thank you @LostinAusten2 @LexiM @Treacle81 @Spark27 😊

@BettyBotter1 not really, just that I was full term and I'd come in with reduced movements so we could do it 'just to be on the safe side' 😬 But my point was that baby was showing up as absolutely fine, and she kept saying that's just a snapshot, but I just insisted that unless there's any evidence that baby is unhappy in any way then I don't want an induction. I asked if there were any alternatives (thanks to PBC for the BRAIN framework!) and she said yes I could have more monitoring the next day instead to double check he's fine, so I took that option, and he was 😊 Really glad that I took the time to educate myself about the risks of induction, because if I didn't know then I can imagine I would have just said yes to meeting my baby sooner and the pregnancy being over faster!

justanothermamma · 14/09/2020 21:44

@bluemoon2468 How exciting for you!! Eeeeek.

@Treacle81 Oh my god that's awful, 8pm?! Was someone having a bad day and taking it out on her? That's brutal!

@BettyBotter1 Thanks lovely! I don't think I'm helping myself having so much going on. House gets photographed tomorrow to go on the market, car is being serviced tomorrow too, viewing houses later this week, HV ringing this week, Whooping Cough vaccine on Thursday and DH starts a new job this week too.. need to slow down.. Also, when I do sleep, drooling LOADS, I can't cope with it.

@Spark27 My DD has just started being a little bit more testing this week. Today she was a total nightmare and she's taken to laughing when I discipline her which just makes me more frustrated! Nursery day for her tomorrow too, I'm so pleased.

NWnature · 14/09/2020 22:27

@justanothermamma cripes you have a lot going on! I’m impressed!

@bluemoon2468 well done for using BRAIN! They always say that thing about it’s only a snap shot in time and its not v helpful! My movement has been minimal throughout as anterior placenta and FTM so no idea what’s “normal” or not but I’ve found that Kick Counter app is helping me a bit to check I am getting a similar number of movements a day as really want to avoid induction if I can! They even mentioned it to me when I had monitoring ages ago at like 32 weeks or so !

I had a crap nights sleep so was struggling to concentrate at work today . Also being pushed to choose our bathroom fittings and just feel like I have no idea what I am doing. Generally been feeling ok but getting bits of nausea/ feeling faint in the mornings which is weird.

I tried the p- massage again this eve- still no clue if it’s actually doing anything and defo didn’t do 10 mins more like 3! But hopefully a bit of coconut oil will help soften at the bare minimum.

Can’t wait to finish work next Friday, I want to book in a haircut, lash lift , mani pedi and maybe a massage!!!

justanothermamma · 14/09/2020 23:26

@NWnature I'm exhausted 😂.

Indigogirl88 · 15/09/2020 08:23

@StrawberrySprinkles yep I've had sickness feeling last few days, and bowl movements

Last night I thought things were starting, had tight period pains for about an hour but then they went. Ended up sleeping on the sofa.

37 weeks today yaaay!

And proud moment, I managed to hand express one tiny drop of milk this morning. I know its not much but im well chuffed 😊

Indigogirl88 · 15/09/2020 08:27

@bluemoon2468 eeeek exciting!!

@nwnature same anterior placenta and movements are minimal also ftm so I feel ya!

Quiffy · 15/09/2020 08:35

@StrawberrySprinkles yep, nausea ramped up even more again. I've had it throughout but it's back to first trimester horrific.

Same here in the loose, the toilet is my new home.

@indigogirl88 I wouldn't make the trip. I last did that journey at end of July and it was very exhausting (although I was driving). You'll only have the worry in your head that you might go into labour.

@Treacle81 12 days over 🙀😩😩 couldn't handle that

@bluemoon2468 very exciting!!!

@BettyBotter1 drooling here too, esp since my nose blocks at night so sleeping with mouth open. The glamour...

@NWnature get them all booked in - will be well deserved

I have a consultant call this morning, which was meant to be a scan and in person but was cancelled so I'm pretty annoyed as I'd like another opinion on size. Hate that I don't know when they'll call either so just sat with my phone waiting and feeling anxious. Then midwife appointment this afternoon so busy day ☹️

MrsK89 · 15/09/2020 09:23

Thought I was the only one with the drooling issues haha my arm is stuck to my face sometimes 🙈

Treaclepie19 · 15/09/2020 09:33

Good work @Indigogirl88!! I haven't even tried expressing.

@bluemoon2468 well done! I think they are so ready to induce for anything aren't they.

Hope your call goes well @Quiffy! It's annoying waiting around for them 😩

I had a lovely little online baby shower last night 😊 Realised how out of touch I've felt with everyone. I've not seen most of my friends since January 😱
Just having a rest before attempting to do jobs now ds is at school 😴

OP posts:
Quiffy · 15/09/2020 09:56

@MrsK89 😹😹 it's another one of those fun pregnancy things they don't tell you about. It's all glow and no drool apparently.

@Treaclepie19 ahhh that's so lovely on your online baby shower ❤️

After being so worried about call, they phoned nice and early and she was really lovely. She'd read through all my notes and knew all my scans. She talked me through my options and studies etc and didn't force me into any decisions. She said she could book me in for an induction September 28th and I agreed as I'm worried about going late and size (plus struggling with pain). Feeling a lot better now.

Spark27 · 15/09/2020 10:01

Morning ladies, I'm so knackered today. Probably had about 3hrs sleep due to insomnia, heartburn and DH snoring 🙄. Felt like my back and inside of the tops of my legs had seized up this morning. Took a while to get moving ok and it still aches. Had to get DH to do the nursery run. DD is moving up to preschool class and was very excited about it.

Just had a huge tescos delivery to stock the house up ready just in case. Worried to book one for next week as I'll be 39+w (I'll probably go to 42w now!) Moving and breathing like an old lady once I'd put it all away.

Indigogirl88 · 15/09/2020 10:10

Argh so frustrating this morning getting more and more work to do despite only working 4 more days@Treaclepie19
I've decided not to do the trip though as too much to think about!

HerondaleDucks · 15/09/2020 10:23

@bluemoon2468 Good luck!! Hope it all happens naturally for you and so impressed you stood your ground with the dr.

@Quiffy 28th is not too far away! I've been telling my bump to get on with it around then lol.

Sorry to hear about all the returning sickness.
I am also drooling... but I've always done that so I didn't realise that pregnancy makes it worse. Poor DH is forever getting a puddle on his chest lol.

@Spark27 sorry to hear about the aches and pains. I also didn't get much sleep so I totally commiserate.
My Asda delivery turned up this morning and I answered in my PJs and was waddling around. The men were really nice about it though.

Finally had some resolution to a falling out i had with my best friend in March. The door is shut and we are no longer friends. After 6 months of her cold shouldering me and being off. I still don't know what i did wrong. But at least I can move on now. Been torturing myself for months over how to fix it. Turns out, I just couldn't.

Feel pretty emotional about it today though, so I'm sat in bed trying not to feel too sorry for myself.

BettyBotter1 · 15/09/2020 10:49

I'm glad you're all drooling along with me and it's not just a sexy new habit I've developed!
@HerondaleDucks that sucks when that happens. I had a friend drop me and I have no idea what I did wrong. It was someone who lives far away and we didn't see each other very often so she just blocked me on facebook and that was that. She was always a bit touchy and changed her mind about ppl so I didn't feel I was in the wrong. You can't please everyone but it's still hurtful.
@bluemoon2468 well done for standing up for yourself, sounds like you bossed it.
@indigogirl88 sounds sensible, 4 hours is a lot at this point. I hope the extra work isn't getting you down too much.
@Spark27 hope you can have a bit of a rest now! I keep falling asleep for a nap mid afternoon.
@Treaclepie19 online baby shower sounds lovely!
@Quiffy glad you had such a nice consultant and are feeling happy about things. Exciting you have a date!!
@NWnature all those pampering treatments sound wonderful, very well deserved

HerondaleDucks · 15/09/2020 11:08

@BettyBotter1 thank you. That does make me feel better.

Also i just had another go at harvesting.... my best one ever! It was a lot easier this time!
