I've also been awake a while! Debating whether to get out of bed now or not. The reason I haven't is because the cat will wake up and be demanding food and attention. I'm already hoping I can nap later!

Hi @Viletta - not long for you now. I'm the same minus the odd ache and pain I've had a very smooth pregnancy, starting to feel it now though. My body is ready to be baby free soon 😂

Has anyone still got a "to do list" before baby comes? I really need to get organised now. I was super organised early on and then in recent months didnt bother so much. Just want to get a few bits done otherwise I doubt I will for months.

Treacle81 · 08/09/2020 08:35

Morning girls, I slept right through again last night and although I had a terribly sore back last night, I've had no heartburn! Can't complain. Woke with energy again so already got a wash on and going to work out 😊. That's another set of twins arrived on the FB chat, ahhhh so real now!!! @Spark27 you could be next!! For those that would like a sweet treat but might help with shortening labour to boot try the chocolate covered dates from Holland & Barrett. Not into raisins etc but these actually taste fudgey- highly recommend. Good for toilet needs, choc fix and hopefully bringing baby on - win win! xx

Treacle81 · 08/09/2020 08:36

4 week countdown!!! 💃

NWnature · 08/09/2020 09:38

Aww @Treacle81 beautiful bump!!! I feel like a wildebeest right now! I'm 35+3 and feeling soooo unprepared.

I've got a mw appointment this afternoon which will be nice. See how I am measuring as I feel massive and maybe start to talk about the birth - who knows!

Started on the medjool date consumption - they are soooo gross. I've resorted to blending up in almond milk and necking it but I'm three days in and feeling grim haha they better do the trick!

Treacle81 · 08/09/2020 09:48

Aww thanks @NWnature good luck for today! I really don't mind the ones smothered in chocolate funnily enough 😂xx

LexiM · 08/09/2020 09:50

Well I got up in the end, had some porridge and started watching a film. My husband woke up and came downstairs to check I was ok. I said dont worry I would wake you up if something was happening (hopefully not yet!!) I could feel myself falling asleep after a while so went back to bed. I think the reason I cant sleep is my body hurts from compensating where baby is lying/moving. My side, back and ribs are aching.

I'm going to start on the dates next week, I actually like dates but think I will get fed up after a few days of having them.

@Treacle81 lovely bump! I know so exciting seeing babies be born on other groups, hopefully wont be too much longer here.

@NWnature hope your appointment goes well. I've got midwife tomorrow, finding out where baby is lying, hopefully no longer breech but I really have no idea.

BettyBotter1 · 08/09/2020 10:01

Lovely bumps @Treacle81 and I think @otterbaby from a couple pages back!
I have a midwife app later too, we're talking birth plan so I'm off now to see what I can put onto paper and try to remember questions I have for her.
@LexiM I have a few bits to do still, mainly washing baby bits and trying to get bags finalised. I also have to buy some more baby essentials that I was holding out on in case anyone wanted to buy us anything. I have a bit more of a list for DH once he's back 😂

MrsK89 · 08/09/2020 11:10

Hi everyone
Just had my growth scan, baby growth has slowed down and is on the 3rd centile, from the 10th.so waiting to see consultant now. Keep fingers crossed for me please x

BntTowers · 08/09/2020 11:40

@MrsK89 let us know how you get on, good luck.

I'm going to put dates on the shopping list for next week whilst I remember. I'm not sure if I can have raspberry leaf tea now I'm on Metformin, there's mixed reports so I may just not have it...

I'm tired I've not really slept well at all the past few nights, also had some weird dreams then got woken up my a neighbour how was bouncing a basketball against a wall at 4.30am!

@Treacle81 lovely bump photo.

LostinAusten2 · 08/09/2020 12:10

Good luck @MrsK89 x

MrsK89 · 08/09/2020 12:25

Thanks everyone. They gave me date for induction 26th this month, so I'll be 38 weeks.
The consultant not too worried about the growth x

MrsD1990 · 08/09/2020 12:33

@MrsK89 glad the consultant isn't too worried. Exciting you have a date - another September baby ♥️

@bnttowers omg I drank raspberry leaf tea the other week because I saw you were supposed to start drinking it at 34 weeks to build it up. Then the same day (maybe coincidence or placebo) I started feeling period like cramps and got paranoid I had induced myself too soon!! I'm going to start drinking it after 37 weeks to be safe - and maybe eat some dates too!

Treaclepie19 · 08/09/2020 12:58

How exciting to have a date @MrsK89!
Glad the consultant wasn't worried.

Lovely bump @Treacle81! 😍

Well ds was upset all morning before school and really worried. Cried on the way to school. Then went in fine and waved bye bye happily. So who knows.
I'm still worried about him so have demolished half a box of after eights and done far too much tidying for my SPD to cope with 😬😬😬🙈

36 weeks tomorrow and seeing the consultant!

NWnature · 08/09/2020 13:28

How exciting you have your date @MrsK89 !

Poor DS @Treaclepie19 I'm sure he will have had a good day though. Chill out for the rest of the afternoon!

Eek @MrsD1990 I have the Pukka motherkind tea which has raspberry leaf in it but not loads (I think 25% from memory).

I've got 13 working days left before mat leave - actually beginning to feel excited now! Our house is still a bomb site so no hope of being in before baby which is sad, even though I knew it was inevitable. Need to finish up the PBC last videos and write my birth preferences soon.

I am hoping the mw can suss out how the baby is positioned today and also maybe feel some movement as last time I had to go for monitoring which is stressful and took ages.

How is everyone feeling about going out at the moment? A few of my colleagues have returned to the office but my HR letter suggests that I should really stay at home from now on. I would like to see them before I leave but at the same time - not sure if thats foolhardy and no point in taking risks at this late stage! Our friends who are expecting in Nov have also invited us to a babyshower this weekend which I feel like we should go to, but again feel a bit anxious about it.

Treacle81 · 08/09/2020 13:54

Thanks girls! Ohh you must be v excited to have a date!! @MrsK89! Glad consultant not too concerned! @Treaclepie19 It must be very hard to deal with in mornings but I hope you get some relief knowing he's fine, once there. Hopefully he will settle before baby arrives and the school run can be a fun thing at some point v soon! @LexiM my back is hurting again already today and the movements above belly button are v painful so I'm guessing it's just extra weight and unfortunately add it to the list. Baby has defo lowered though as made the beds without breathing issues for the first time earlier and just seem to be breathing better in general which is good. Of course though means I'm at the toilet alot more due to pressure lower down! @NWnature it's only a matter of time before my region is in lockdown, 4 nearest mine are and we got a warning so I'm doing what I can until then. Planning on seeing my friend who is due on Fri at some point and also going to venture to Primark on my day off on Fri and gets bits I need to complete my hospital bag. @BntTowers I had very sexual dreams last night 😳. @MrsD1990 I panic when I start cramping thinking it's time lol xx

MrsD1990 · 08/09/2020 15:22

@NWnature @treacle81 lol I think I'm probably just paranoid. Baby was really pushing down on me over the weekend when I had to do loads of walking and I was worried I was going into labour then too 😂

justanothermamma · 08/09/2020 15:34

@NWnature I was meant to return to wor in August when shielding stopped but Occupational Health were so against it, I haven't seen any of my colleagues since March, before I was 12 weeks pregnant, it's crazy! I work in a clinical setting though, so I have to be wary. We've been to some social gatherings with close friends and family at our homes and that's been okay because it was all garden things and it was easy to distance ourselves, plus with knowing everyone so well we knew where they'd been so it made us less anxious about being with them. Just do what you're comfy with!

@MrsK89 You have a date, eek! I hopefully find out mine on Thursday, so nervous!

Saw midwife today and she told me baby was fully engaged (I'm 36 weeks tomorrow) so that was scary! We're viewing a house tomorrow too - because why not move when you're about to have a baby ey?! I fell asleep at my laptop working from home today so I've not been very productive, yikes.

otterbaby · 08/09/2020 15:55

Does anyone have their measurements from their 36 week growth scan? Feeling so deflated today...I just got back home from my appointment and I ended up being at the hospital for 2.5 hours, just waiting around! Baby is measuring small at around 25th percentile. She's supposedly weighing 5lbs 10oz. I was supposed to meet with my consultant as well but apparently she was busy so met with some other consultant and a medical student. He was so unhelpful and was quizzing me on my TFMR last year which made me so uncomfortable. And they won't move me to low dependency unless my next growth scan in 2 weeks shows substantial growth 😔 which was the entire point of my consultant appointment today. Why can't it just be straightforward?

MummyBearBoo · 08/09/2020 16:09

So 36@5 weeks today and they've booked me in for an induction on 5th October so 3 weeks and 6 days OMG starting to feel real!!

Plus baby is growing fine and already weighs more than my DD did when she was born!!

That's not why I'm swing induced tho coz she's on 41st centile so she's not massive even though my bikinis still measuring ahead by 2 weeks!!

@justanothermamma SPD is awful isn't it I'm seriously worried about the school run- first transition session is tomorrow and my left leg is so sore!!

The consultant said hiccups are perfectly normal!! Xxx

BntTowers · 08/09/2020 16:13

@otterbaby sorry you had to go through that, they should have been focusing on what is happening now, to this baby. I hope you can get some answers.

@justanothermamma I had a 20 minute nap before lunch today, at the moment I am just going with how much work I can do. I only have until Monday then I'm off! It's good you are fully engaged.

@MrsD1990 I think raspberry leaf tea is supposed to help.with the pushing stage rather than setting you off, although would have been convenient timing!

I have just had an email through about a virtual parent craft session. Has anyone else done this? I think it's offered to first time mums on the NHS, but as I've done the NCT course I'm not sure it's worth spending a day sat on zoom for...

MrsK89 · 08/09/2020 17:54

Thank you ladies. It feels so wierd knowing an exact date! I asked cheekily if they would possibly do on a weekend and they agreed! Atleast I can have child care sorted and hopefully be ready to take them on the school run on the Monday! Just praying induction doesn't take too long and isn't too intense. I did get induced for 1st baby but apparently its a different story if you get induced for subsequent pregnancies so fingers crossed because I hated the drip! X
Getting a lot of pains between my thighs today and it hurts to walk up and down the stairs now 😔

Treacle81 · 08/09/2020 18:03

@otterbaby sorry to hear you had to go through all that, to be honest, if you were to go till 40 weeks, baby would be around 7 odd which is average , I wouldn't worry about size. Just hope they hold off a bit longer if you are concerned. @MummyBearBoo so exciting you have your date, that's my due date xx

justanothermamma · 08/09/2020 18:40

@otterbaby I'd ring them up tomorrow to speak to a midwife about getting re-referred to the consultant again if they've left you feeling like that lovely.

@MummyBearBoo Driving is horrendous with sciatica and SPD, it's almost comical as I'm constantly 'oohing' and 'ahhing' and my toddler is copying 😂🙈.

@BntTowers I'm a bit shocked being fully engaged so soon especially with it being my second. But hey ho, we shall see if baby or induction come first 😬.

@MrsD1990 I bought Raspberry Leaf capsules last time and they did naff all. I always got BH after sex or long walks but my friend always got them after the capsules so just try anything! There is an oil you can put in your bath (I cannot for the life of me remember what it's called) but that can set you off as well!

@MrsK89 What's the potential difference with a second induction? I never got one first time but this is my second baby and I'm being induced.. I'm so nervous!!

otterbaby · 08/09/2020 19:22

Thanks all, I have a midwife appt on Thursday so I'm going to mention it then. Just worried she's going to stop growing or something 😔

On the topic of raspberry leaf tea, there's a lush bath bomb that has clary sage in it and it's meant to help induce labour - think it's called sex bomb?

Also I mentioned my pelvic pain at my appt today and they gave me a prescription for codeine...but then it says that taking it in late pregnancy can cause baby to be born with an addiction 😳 think I'll stick to my heat pad and whinging!!

Wow so exciting people are getting their induction dates...it makes it feel so real! Can't wait until we start to see babies arriving!

MrsK89 · 08/09/2020 19:39

@justanothermamma I have no idea 🙈 I think maybe it'll be easier? I forgot to ask many questions, including at what point my DH can come inside. So basically I got a date and no more info 😂
