@Mrsi2020 yeah I can't wait to start buying baby stuff haha! Although I have all the big stuff from my DS literally kept everything! So I mainly need clothes but if it's a boy have loads in the loft too in bigger sizes! I bought a few neutral outfits but there's not much choice in the shops I found so im holding out now until we know x

@Catherinettc that's good that they are doing another one at a discount price for you x

zippityzip · 10/09/2020 06:25

I've always wondered if it should write a book but I don't know if I'm allowed to?!

@Busybee143 My baby doesn't like meat for some reason and it's really annoying me now!! Also - I had that shooting pain and everything is good in there. Could be ligaments? I had it whenever I coughed or moved too fast but it does ease off.

@Cocoblue22 My god when you say it like that time seems to be going really fast!! You will literally find out the sex soon and be halfway through!!!

@Mococo1 Haha yeah, feels like a lifetime ago now - luckily no long term injuries just an impressive scar. Being as vague as I can - stupid colleague said he had searched the drug dealer. He had not searched the drug dealer. Cue angry drug dealer in the back of the car with me who realllllllly didn't want to go back to prison. If drug dealer was a little more clever he could have done a real job on me - but decided to go for my leg. All he achieved was extending his sentence.

Busybee143 · 10/09/2020 06:56

@zippityzip I really struggled with meat too yesterday. OK maybe these pains are just normal them I hope. I've had such bad stomach ache all night can't tell if I've got a bug or it's just hormones.

SmileyT · 10/09/2020 07:44

@zippityzip was a couple days behind but that kebab story really made me laugh 😂 definitely have to order from then again. So interesting you say about being a police officer, my mum has always worked in social care and I think she is a tad detached inside from all of the situations she has dealt with. She would casually mention how she'd had to take a baby away because mum had thrown them from a flat window, but wouldn't even flinch and that definitely wasn't the most disturbing story x

@Mococo1 my fatigue is pretty much gone now, still tired but not exhausted, I do think it's worse when I'm in the house though when I'm out in the office I just have to get on with it (especially as nobody really knows 😂) Also as the other ladies have said, my friend had a baby in July and she says being at home is better than working and she gets more sleep than when she was pregnant, it's her first so no other kids to contend with and her hubby does one of the night feeds as she expresses👌🏾

@Cocoblue22 yay you're scan is the day after mine 💙💗

Hope the rest of you are doing good, had a lovely meal out at Dishoom last night.. but now I'm just counting down the days until Mat leave, can't believe I've not had a day off work since March, so in need of a holiday 😴 x

OP posts:
Mococo1 · 10/09/2020 08:26

Morning ladies

@zippityzip if you could write a book that would be amazing! Would defo buy it you sound like you've led a very int life! on a positive note Glad it wasn't major but still crazy indeed

@SmileyT you need a holiday girlllllllll! Crazy you haven't had any time off!

I'm really hoping the fatigue/exhaustion wears off soon! last night I cried in bed as I just felt so sad and depressed from always wanting to fall asleep/having zero energy 😞 I'm not sure how to shake this feeling but I feel really boring and quite honestly feel like a fat hippo trapped in my flat! If we have a second wave I will be wfh till Mat leave and the idea is just so so depressing 🥺🥺

DH is always out with his mates but mine live far away near my mums, I have one but she also has her other local friends and Is back at work etc..My family live abroad so lately I've just felt very very alone and I'm scared of prenatal depression now and being home alone on mat leave as I don't want to continue feeling this way 😭

On a side note I'm so uncomfortable and bloated with a bad stomach ache 🤢

Sorry about the rant I just am not in a good mental state first anxiety now feeling sad I wish I was a positive person like at 21😩

I've told DH to force me out for a daily walk now and I'm going to do a ten min yoga stretch to start the day! Any other tips?

I've Also decided I will make my own journal last night so will order some bits and bobs - I know some of you bought the books could I know some of the prompts for ideas?

Sausage1990 · 10/09/2020 09:54

Hi ladies 👋🏻
@SmileyT girl you need a break. That's far too long to go without any leave. Go book some time off if you can - I've been off work 3 months and am not even back yet but have already got some leave booked it at the end of October (for our anniversary) and I'm planning my Xmas leave. Haha

@blodyn91 sorry you had a tough day yesterday... I hope you're feeling okay today. Symptoms wise hunger def3makes it worse. The heaving is new for me this week but it definitely is worse when I'm hungry but also its when I smell something too strong or unpleasant. My sense of smell has been so strong its setting me off so much. I was worried that my feelings of nausea havnt been so bad the last few days and I worried that it was a bad sign but dive realised today that it's actually just that I've figured out how often I need to eat in order to keep the nausea at a manageable level.

Sorry for the detail but thought maybe some of the newer ladies might find it helpful... I have a few plain biscuits as soon as I wake up with squash, then snacks through the day every 1.5-2hrs (which is whatever I can tolerate which changes week to week), no point having a full meal in the day, but by about 5pm I do need something proper so I have a small meal then (kids size) then have another snack a few hrs later and again before bed. It's alot of snacks but only 1 small meal... I've actually lost about 3lbs these last few weeks. Not that that's a goal but I'm very aware if my weight as I'm curvier with a BMI of 34... I want my weight to stay steady for as long as possible because I would love a water birth but you can't have one if your bmi is too high (lol side note)

@Mococo1 I'm sorry you're feeling so low. Its not a nice feeling at all. I've been there with my mental health recently so I understand. Making your own journal sounds like a great idea. I'll get my journal out and do a separate post on the prompts. If I was you I'd set up the pages in advance so you can just fill them in then as you go, if you have to set up your pages as you need them then you may not stuck to it... Well I know that would be the case for me anyway. With regards to feeling more positive tho I would ask yourself what do I need right now? It could be fresh air, could be sleep, could be company. Whatever YOU need, try to put 1 little step in place to help that. And with small baby steps you will start feeling better for it. It's what I did, some days I just needed to get out of the house so I went to tesco to look at the clothes & picked up something new, that fitted and make me feel good wearing. Small things can make such a huge difference xxx

SmileyT · 10/09/2020 12:19

@Mococo1 @Sausage1990 yes I'm booking 2weeks off from the 12th October, I've officially made the decision to cancel Barbados for this year because of stupid Zika 😭so we will hopefully just do a city break and also some down time at home x

@Mococo1 sorry you are feeling low, it is hard if you are feeling isolated and not getting out much. I do think getting back into the gym has really helped my mental state (doesn't need to be the gym but some movement) and trying to do at least one dinner out a week, even when I felt exhausted it's nice to have a change of scenery. Also maybe telling people will make you feel less isolated as currently you don't have people to talk about it with, I'm sure that will make all the difference. My book is a week by week one, not really many other prompts but I've popped, preg tests and scan pics in there and DPs reaction to finding out, I guess i will put in first movements and some pics of us along the way ❤️ xx

Hi Ladies!!

Hope everyone's doing and feeling ok still? Wanted to jump on firstly to apologise for my radio silence, truthfully I find it almost impossible keeping up with this thread. By the time I've managed to come on and read everyone's updates the convo has completely moved on and I'm back to square one 🤣. So I hope you don't think me obnoxious, and just know that I am here in the background, loving reading everyone's updates and beautiful scan pictures and wishing you all healthy happy pregnancies. I'll try to pop in every now and then when I get a chance, but I haven't forgotten about you!

We decided to go for a last min private scan this morning. 10 little fingers and 10 little toes. Measuring a few days early still at 11+1.

Love to all xx

blodyn91 · 10/09/2020 12:35

@Mococo1 I feel you! All my best friends live near my parents, going to really miss all their support. Mum has already said shes going to park their caravan near ours so she can come and help. But must be hard as they are abroad 😫 Walking definitely helps! my dog is my best friend atm 😂

Saw this on insta, and found it a nice little read.

Mrsi2020 · 10/09/2020 14:22

@Cocoblue22 I love the shopping side of it ! Have you your pram and all? That’s so handy!

I’m sorry a few of you are feeling so down, I think the current times make all of the emotions so heightened as well there’s less distractions. Roll on the weekend!

I’m feeling a little nauseous today but don’t know if it’s preg related as I’m still soooo early 😭 (4weeks on Saturday) . I had hyperemesis before so I’m praying my body isn’t preparing me for what’s to come 🙈 xxx

Sausage1990 · 10/09/2020 14:59

@mrsi2020 god HG sounds so brutal, I know of a few people who've had it and it seemed horrific. I'm so glad I don't have that. I hope you don't get it this time 🤞🏻 once was more than enough.

I've had an unexpectedly busy day up till now so havnt had chance to get my journal out for prompts @Mococo1 but I promise I will after my bath & hair wash. I needed to rest a little so this is kills two birds with one stone haha

@blodyn91 oh I really like that insta caption. It's nice to see a positive outlook to newborn life... I know there are alot of hard parts but that person is right, you've gits focus on the silver linings 😊

How's everyone doing with lockdown restrictions coming back in? I'm in South Wales and there's alot of talk about us having a local lockdown soon. I have lots of friends in Caerphilly and they've already gone into lockdown 😕 if anyone is having a wobble, please remember to talk and share. We're all in this together and it's so difficult, and we will get through this with some virtual hugs & love. Xx

Mrsi2020 · 10/09/2020 15:35

@Sausage1990 glad you’ve had a nice break! I think people ought to listen to their bodies more.

I’ve had it three times! Haha ! My first preg I lost at 4.5months was sick the whole time, and then had it both times with my daughters altho the first was by far the worst, I was stones lighter when I went in to have her, I didn’t even produce any milk - the only upside was that I felt so shit preg that when I had her I was on cloud 9! I was in my element! I LOVE the newborn stage, omg them cuddles, that smell, that first look ❤️ There’s nothing like those moments. Then they grow up and tel you you’re horrible and mess your house etc etc 🤣🤣🤣

As for lockdown, I’m quite pragmatic , i just kind of get on with things, i feel awful sorry for anyone struggling with mental health tho because i think it’s awful for them. :( i worry for my kids, they’re thriving already being back at school (they’ve been back 3 weeks tomorrow - were in northern ireland) and they’ll be devastated if we lockdown again. My eldest daughter is doing her transfer test and she’s gonna miss out on so much education, my younger daughter has autism and is missing out on so much help and struggled going back and she’s doing so well, lockdown will be far worse for my house a second time. Fingers crossed it doesn’t come to that , thanks for asking. How are you feeling about it? xxx

Mrsi2020 · 10/09/2020 15:36

This is my progression, I’m pleased with this! How soon did everyone get symptoms and what symptoms ? Xxx

Summer '20 Grads ❤️
Sausage1990 · 10/09/2020 18:18

@mrsi2020 that's great progression!!! I used to find it was better with a day or 2 in between to see a real good color change 👍🏻

Symptoms for me started about 5 weeks with food aversions and just really reduced appetite and then as I got closer to 6 weeks the aversions got worse and my nose became like a bloodhound and EVERYTHING smelt strong. By the time I was 6+2 I had proper all day nausea and it's been companion every since. I've also had some indegestion but my boobs are fine and I've only been sick once. So not so bad really. Xx

LittleRa · 10/09/2020 19:05

Hi all, still here 👋 Just soooo busy with work. But thread had dropped off my recents so just popping in to say hello! Hope everyone well 😊 I’ve got 16 week appt on 23rd Sept and 20 week scan 14th Oct xx

blodyn91 · 10/09/2020 19:53

@Sausage1990 Nice surprise to have lost weight then 😊 definitely good if you are wanting to reduce BMI slightly.
Im really angry at the corona situation by now, I think Im very close to having a shower cry 😆 We have a cottage booked in whitby for a uni re union, all the girls and all partners. Should have seen then twice this year between hen and wedding but haven't, and been looking forward to this weekend for months. I've managed to handle postponning our wedding better than a lot of brides, as re arranging was easy and I just thought everything will be fine next year 😫 plus ttc has been a nice distraction. Cases are low where I live so hopefully no full on lockdown again, that 1 hour a day thing really killed me back in April. Trying to remain optimistic, my job is safe so no worries there at least 😌

@Mrsi2020 My symptoms have been mild compared to a lot on here. I get stabs/stich feeling in my belly often, especially when I stretch (reaching for crisps on top of the kitchen cupboard) or move quickly. Then boobs started hurting from my BFP really, and are now bigger than they have ever been (at a grand size of B/C 😂).

Bl0ndi3 · 10/09/2020 20:10

Hi ladies,

I've been glancing at this thread on and off to see how you're all getting on 🥰

Wondering what you think of this... I think I'm 9 or maybe even 10dpo...

Summer '20 Grads ❤️
Mococo1 · 10/09/2020 20:35

@Bl0ndi3 omg I could just CRYYYY I can see a line! I did ICs and that's what mine looked like at positive 9/10DPO with my 2nd but I just disregarded it at the time...test in a few days but I'm 99% sure you're going to be back on this bus! 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️ I'm so over the moon for you

@Sausage1990 @blodyn91 @SmileyT thank you for your well wishes I've had a fantastic day today (must have been my yoga stretch and two outings but feel mentally good!)

also @SmileyT I finally got my dating scan! Next week weds @ 8.30am (I swear this hosp never wants me to sleep but better than waiting around all day) AND no reference to going alone so hoping DH will be able to attend but il call to confirm tomorrow !

SmileyT · 10/09/2020 20:49

Hi @LittleRa and @mrsmummy1111 glad you're both still around and doing well x

@Sausage1990 I haven't seen many mumblings about lockdown measures where I am but the underground is definitely getting busier so wonder what impact that will have 🤔

@Mrsi2020 progression is looking great 👍 i definitely haven't had symptoms as bad as some but was exhausted from about 5weeks to 9weeks with a feeling of being hungover but nothing that wasn't mainly cured with early nights and lots of fresh air ☺️

@Bl0ndi3 ooh I see a faint line 🤞 really hope it gets stronger for you over the next few days xxx

@Mococo1 so glad you had a good day, I think this pregnancy malarkey is an emotional rollercoaster but please always share with us and don't feel lonely. Also yay to getting your scan date through xx
