Midwife called, booking appointment moved back to next Wednesday 😫 but I asked about scan dates and she said I'll be given them at that appointment

Omg my friend does charms and cards and has just informed me that she had a dream someone was pregnant with twins. Out of the 3 people she knows that are pregnant the other 2 have had scans and only have one in there lol. Now I'm bricking it!!! 🤣🤣

I'm also extremely big (not bloated) and its not budging. She also said im around 7 or 9 weeks.

Anyone else had a psychic tell them stuff about pregnancy?

I believe all this as I read tarot myself but haven't been able to since i got pregnant x

I have my consultant appointment tomorrow (due to low birth weight last time and a protein in my blood this time which shows a susceptibility to developing high blood pressure in pregnancy), and need to get my aspirin prescription sorted and start taking daily.

I’m 14 weeks now so officially 2nd trimester!

@Mococo1 I love the idea of gender guesses!!!! I've been looking at the skull shape theory thing. And if it's correct mine is a boy. But I really don't have a gut feeling!

@Catherinettc Is this your first baby or do you have other children? Will you wait for the 12 week scan to find out or will you book an earlier one? If there was a chance of twins I wouldn't be able to wait for 12 weeks 😂

@LittleRa I'll also be your aspirin buddy - I'm on it daily now too. I had Pre E with my first baby. Although I am very very aware of my heartbeat so that can't be normal 🙄

Welcome @cathertinettc 👋🏻 nice to see you here - that's quite a belly already haha. I'm feeling very bloated these days although it definitely doesn't look like a bump at all. As I've got a little more wobble than some, I don't think I'm going to look pregnant until about 5 months knowing my luck. But never mind.

@zippityzip @LittleRa I have to go on aspirin from 12 weeks too as my mum had pre-eclampsia with me.

@Mococo1 I love the idea of guessing too. Its something I've always liked guessing and tbh I'm actually pretty good at guessing haha. My OH really wants a boy as we've only had girls in our family and friendship group over the last 3-4 years. But I don't have any vibes yet. We should try all the old wives tales 😂

Docs said this morning that they are dating me at 7 +1 but not sure if I really believe it. Booked an early scan for 2morro to get some idea at least and tbh totally freaked out about the twin thing given my age etc lol xx

@Catherinettc Ah that is awesome!! Did you plan the big gap (sorry if that's rude to ask). Please update us after your scan! Twins would be amazing.
I'm on my third currently. I'm already shitting myself. Four sounds terrifying!!

@zippityzip not rude at all. I was definitely finished. Only wanted 3 and thats was it (apparently lol) then the wee familiar broody feeling kicked in and i decided I wanted another . Im older and wiser now. Have a better house , finances etc now. I have a lot more time and patience. I had my 3 starting at 18 and life was a crazy whirlwind for years. I feel like I have time to enjoy this one more if that makes sense?

This sounds awful but I don't think i would want twins 🤦‍♀️ i don't know if i could cope with 2 at the same time 🤣 xx

@blodyn91 ahh hopefully 12w scan will come quite soon after booking though which means less waiting, although I know you're more patient than most of us 🙈 bet you're excited to see your little grape? (Is that the right fruit) can't believe I've got a peach in there now 😂 also my brother has 3 boys so although I'd love a boy because I'm used to them I feel that we'll end up with the 1st girl in the fam x

@Catherinettc wowser that is a lovely bump if you are only 3weeks could definitely be twins 👯‍♀️ or if your friend is right and you're 7 or 8 weeks does the Dr think the last period wasn't a period and the CB test was just a bit out? Ooh it's all so exciting... ive never been to a psychic or done anything with tarots but find it interesting. I'm curious to see if she is right tomorrow glad we don't have long to wait until your scan 🥰🥰

Thanks for all your well wishes and appreciation of my super veins... crazy how the 12w scan feels so much more official, here's hoping the bloods come back all good. Unfortunately as baby was upside down for most of the scan no nub to guess gender 🤔

@SmileyT doc wasn't super helpful to be honest. Like he couldn't be arsed on a Monday morning 🤣🤣 hardly listened to a word I said.

But hey ho will get all confirmation etc soon enough I suppose x

@Cocoblue22 when I've eaten a curry lately it just doesn't taste nice either :( are you the same? usually one of my favourite foods. Our babies really don't like curry!

I remember you from another thread and it’s great to see you here . I’m 38 too and decided that I’d start all over again. When I last babies I was a teenager and this time round it feels a little more fraught and stressful

@Cocoblue22 I seem to really really fancy xomethiing, eat it and then have An awful aversion to it after and can’t think about it again without gagging- so far I’ve got through, korma, mature cheddar, marmite, honey, hummus, porridge, beans on toast and the thought of anything makes me gag

@Mustbemad82 Honestly I would be gutted if I went off marmite and cheddar cheese. They are quite possibly my two favourite things.
Although I went off bacon completely with my second baby - I literally couldn't have it near me. But now I can eat it all day long.

Currently have an aversion to meat. Which is pissing me off as it's always my responsibility to sort out dinner and it's becoming increasingly difficult to do.

@Catherinettc I'm genuinely starting to wonder if I'll be the same as you. I'm like three and DONE. Me and DH are still working on progressing in our careers etc which if it pays off by the time we are 40 we should be pretty settled. But then KNOWING this is my last one makes me a little sad 🙄 I'll hit 35 and think, nah let's crack it one more time for the road. But it'll be so different as I had my first at 21.

I do worry about getting too old and living to regret not having more but Jesus would my pelvic floor even take it. Or being an "older" mum at the school gates.

@zippityzip ahh don't talk about being an older mum at the gates, if you had more at 35 that's not old!! I'll definitely be closer to 40 than 30 even if I have a couple 😝 DP is always telling me I'm obsessed with age but my mum had my brother when she was 19 and then became a grandma when she was 36, so in my head I'd always thought I'd follow suit and have kids young so they'd be growing up with my nephews. Although my parents say they struggled when we were younger, my mum went back to uni when my little sis started school and they'd paid off the mortgage and dad retired before 50. He was like now I'm done with school fees, ski trips and uni accommodation I'm free 🙈

@Mrsi2020 progression looks great 🙌🏾 how many tests are you planning on doing? 😂 hopefully this month flies by for you and scan time arrives soon x

Ladies I wouldn’t worry about being the older mum at the gates, where I’m from most of the mums are late 30s into their 40s at the school. I had DD1 at 23 and was a young ish mum, this time I’ll be hitting 40 woohooo

@SmileyT I haven’t caught up as far as your scan , gonna have to go look for it! How many weeks are you now? Thanks that’s reassuring! I’m just so anxious. I don’t get anxiety but I’m a control freak and everything is my way and I obv have zero control over this, all that coupled with the fact this is my 5th bfp this year and I’m just petrified. I really think I’ll crumble if it doesn’t go well this time :( but anyway PMA! 🤣 xxx

@Catherinettc I've got a big bump early too I look six months gone at 13 weeks!! Are you going to have an early scan? If it is twins you'd cope just fine don't worry! You already had three young ones together so two will be a doddle for you x

@samilicious my baby doesn't like much atm I can't eat curry, chicken, Sunday dinners don't taste nice....basically it likes anything cold and fruity or jam on toast or cereal! X

@Mustbemad82 yep I'm like that most things I eat I'm like 🤮 my baby doesn't even like kfc or mcds at least that's helping me stay clear of them! X

Anyone looked at nub theory? Also not very accurate! It's great fun guessing though! I thought my baby was initially a girl then I thought boy after my scan I'm back to thinking girl and so is DH x

I always counted 13 weeks as second trimester too, altho I think it meant that the first tri felt like it went quicker 🤣 I cannot wait time be at the 12/14 weeks mark.

My mum always guesses gender by when the person thinks they conceived, she was adamant both my kids were girls by when I conceived and she was right! Not sure when I conceived this time lol xxx

Its a 2 hour drive to nearest clinic so leaving my dd to school and picking my eldest daughter up on the way as shes coming with me (she's 19)

Im craving smoked salmon and eggs, I just cant stop eating egg sandwiches atm. Also forgotten to take my tablets past two days and left them at home and now at my parents so need to go buy some more 🙈 I was with with all my primary school friends last night reminiscing back to when we were 18 and so care free, best friend has just lost her dad and funeral on Wednesday so didn't want to tell them yet will wait another couple of weeks. All talking about a blast out trip to Amsterdam and I was like 'yeah lets do it' (definitely can't come)
