@Ltay2 Unhelpfully I think it depends on the trust I had my booking appt and scan appt booked at the same time (around 7weeks I think), then they booked my 16w appt at the booking appt x

@busybee143 gosh yeah if you've had a horrible experience like that before then I can definitely understand not wanting to go through it again. I was so so nervous as it was. I was gripping DHs hand the whole time. I think we're all attached the moment we see those 2 lines appear. I'm learning that no amount of logical reasoning changes those feelings no matter how much we try to convince ourselves. I'm already so attached to my little blueberry, it's why we get so anxious. Also surely hormones play a part in those anxious feelings? They must do, because I cannot explain the crazy feelings lol.

@Ltay2 I think @SmileyT is right that it varied from trust to trust. I had a telephone booking last week (at their 8 weeks but Im a bit earlier than they've got me down) then I'll have all my booking bloods done at my 12 week scan appointment. They said they'll send my details off to the hospital who will be in touch in due course about my appt. So it's different for everyone I think 🙈

@Sausage1990 I’m really pleased for you and we have the same due date!

I’m hoping to book in with midwife this eeek and start the ball rolling
I have another scan booked in with EPU on Friday and will go from there
They are supposed to be reassuring but put the fear of god into me!

Our private ones are only around the 40 mark so although it isn’t cheap , it doesn’t feel overtly expensive either

Scan is at 3.05pm today - strangely feeling quite calm at the moment but when I think about it properly I'm so scared!

I managed to keep everything down yesterday and feel a lot better today so hopefully @Ltay2 is right and maybe it more didn't agree with me than actually poisoned me! @mrsmummy1111 one of my friends also had it like you and was ill for a week but they still said it would probably be fine. I was only sick once so I'm hoping it will be okay feel bad for you being sick so much that's awful x

@Ltay2 I didn't find the bath too cold our thermometer is the tommee tippee one and I find 37 okay I'd rather it be 39 though! X

@Sausage1990 so glad your scan went well ❤️ and you have a healthy bean :) hopefully now you can relax a little x

@SmileyT they say baths are good for relaxing and soothing aching muscles especially as you get bigger as long as it feels warm and not hot it seems to be fine. If it feels too hot to put a young child in then it's too hot x

@zippityzip lovely scan picture ❤️ Sorry you had a terrible experience. Have you thought about writing a complaint? I feel those types of people only change when there is pressure applied.,

@Ltay2 the nurse told me I'd receive it within 2 weeks. I didn't. After emailing the hospital, I had a quick response and was given my date but told to wait for the letter still. It came a week later, so in total took about 3 weeks.

@Cocoblue22 The bath temp was actually ok in the end! Had to top it up a few times but it was nice to have a bath again!

@Sausage1990 yay so glad everything went okay at your scan!

@Ltay2 depends on the trust..I still don't have my 12week scan..Had a booking appt at 9 weeks and they booked me in for 17w appointment also. Once you have a booking appt my trust refers you for the scan. I have chased my scan since I'm 11w now and they said they usually scan between 12-14w most likely around 13.5 so I should have a letter in the post next week (but adv me they also only give about a weeks notice which is rubbish ) 🤞🏽 good luck at your scan today🥰 😬 xxx

@mrsmummy1111 Did you let the restaurant know? I love scallops 🙁 that would put me off for life. How are you feeling now?

@FairyLights2 Its funny one of the school mums had a scan there a few ago, same woman! And she said the exact same. I would complain but honestly I don't think it'll get me anywhere. Plus if I have her again in two weeks time I'll be awkward turtles.

Blizted the house this weekend. All new bedding, towels, clean and tidy etc. It won't last five minutes but at least I can start work tomorrow and feel better that it's done.

And I know this is awful to say - but the kids are really getting on my tits. It's got to be me, they aren't actually doing everything wrong. But screeching, talking with their mouths full, making a mess. Everything is irritating me. So I have to take a deep breath before I respond to them otherwise I'm just being a bitch all the time. My poor eldest she just stood near me this morning and I was like "WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" Got to chill.
Hormones are arseholes.

Sorry guys but I HATE BATHS 😆😆 Think I've had one since being an adult 😂 and that was in a hotel because it looked fab and me and OH fancied trying out some bath time dtd which was a disaster as it was too hot 🙈

Im just back from my first triathlon race of 2020! Had to really reel in my competitive side and hold back on the run, but enjoyed it so so much. Zero nausea today which was perfect! (so far)

@Busybee143 Im also waiting till 12 weeks 😊 I suppose I am quite a stingy person 🙈 but also I'm not stressing at all so don't need the reasurance I suppose. @Ltay2 no date yet, booking appointment next Friday 😄

I was really brave today and filled in my forms online for my booking appointment, I have been putting it off but I bit the bullet! I'm 6+3 today, still not many strong symptoms other that some days being a little tired, occasional waves of nausea, waking up with a pretend cold, my toilet habits are out of the window and most evenings I can't eat an awful lot, my boobs sensitivity also seems to be easing off. I'm glad I still feel as I have some energy as I have a 14mo to contend with 😂

@Busybee143 well done! Big step for you I know so 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 if you can break things down into little milestones it might be easier for you 👍🏽

I hope I can act as some sort of reassurance that I didn't have very strong symptoms either..but then some came and went after I got some reassurance so psychologically I think my fears shut them down a bit- also maybe since you have a 14m old you just aren't as aware and getting on with things 😬 glad you still have some energy! Xxx

Scan went well 🥰 measuring a day ahead so 9+1 all perfect! We are off to tell OH parents now ☺️

@SmileyT @Mococo1 @zippityzip thank you for the good wishes ladies ❤️ ❤️ scan today went well and WE HAVE A LIVE LITTLE BEAN!!! 🎉 🎉 🎉 So very, very happy. Measuring slightly earlier than I thought - I estimated we were 6+4/5 but measuring 6+2. Also found the cause of the spotting - a small subchorionic haemorrhage measuring 9mm - probably from implantation. A big relief there is no sinister cause and I can reassure myself if I get more spotting. You can see it on the right here! New EDD is 30th April 😁😁
