Omg @Sakura54 your update nearly made me cry - I’m so happy that you’re past the 12 week mark and have an official due date!! 💕 Congratulations!! 💕

DanceM1 · 18/08/2020 18:12

@Poppy10121 congratulations on a successful scan, thats wonderful news for you 💕

@Sakura54 I'm so pleased you've made it through the first trimester. This is amazing. You must be so happy! Are you going to tell people/more people now? Congratulations 💕

How is everybody else? I'm sorry ive been useless at keeping up. I've had a sudden bout of terrible nausea today. Like awful all day and head aches as well. Im not really complaining to be fair but I seem to be the wrong way round... i had hardly any symptoms until after 8 weeks and now there is hardly any food that I can face 🙈 I know you must be thinking get a grip @RosieJess91 🤣 poor you with your sickness. Really hope you are ok!!

JennyMY · 18/08/2020 18:31

What a lovely picture @Sakura54 - congratulations on a good scan and so glad for you that you have now passed this milestone! Xx

SmileyT · 18/08/2020 19:09

@Sakura54 ahh this is amazing news and what a great picture 🥰

@Poppy10121 glad your scan went well and now you can hopefully relax a bit x

bubblybon20 · 18/08/2020 20:35

Anyone else got lower back ache? Around 10-12 weeks? Not painful just a dull ache 🤣

ew1990 · 18/08/2020 20:48

@sakura yay. Bet it feels good to be out of the first trimester.

@bubblybon20 yes!! Sometimes it feels like if I move wrong my backs going to go altogether 😞

bubblybon20 · 18/08/2020 21:00

@ew1990 least it's not just me! Obviously stretching 😫🤣🙈

Poppy10121 · 18/08/2020 21:16

@pugprincess I tried to take a pic on my phone but hands were shaky and it’s a blurry mess! Will have to wait for the proper scan 😊

@skyblue20 oh that’s so interesting! I had the same sonographer who dealt with my MMC, she recognised me as well, so I thought that might be why she was so quick with the reassurance!

@sakura54 what a lovely pic! So glad that you have made it to this milestone and can hopefully start to relax 😊

@DanceM1 sorry you are feeling rough today 😞 hope you can find something you fancy eating!

Thank you @smileyt and @workingmama1, very relieved tonight and celebrating with takeout pizza which has given me more indigestion but worth it!

Pugprincess · 18/08/2020 22:12

@Poppy10121 aw do you not get a print out at epu? 😞

@bubblybon20 Yh I’ve had that back ache already lol. Felt like when you have been doing too much. Dull ache describes it perfectly x

I sometimes get little prickly feelings around my belly button, do you guys get that lol. I see my tummy twitching too. Whenever I try to show hubby it stops 😅 my bum cheek was twitching yesterday 😅 I get that lightning crotch feeling up my nun and bum lol. Tonight my boobs are starting to feel slightly sore like my nips do. Hopefully it’s all progressing. Still tempted to do that clear blue digital to see if I can get the 3+. Trying to hold out till Sunday when I might be around 6 weeks (give or take around 2 days-I know when I ovulated but can’t guarantee which day egg released and fertilised lol so it’s been hard to count properly cause this is straight after mc no af)

SkyBlue20 · 18/08/2020 22:33

@bubblybon20 Yes, I’ve had lower back and hip aches today for the first time in a while. I worried at first then thought it was maybe my work set up (husband was using the home office as has deadlines so I was in bed/at the kitchen table) and the fact I went shopping after work which tbh is more walking than I’ve done for a while! Glad it’s normal though, probably just making more room for baby to grow!

@Pugprincess I’ve not had any of those feelings but they definitely sound positive, like body gearing up for what’s ahead!

I’ve still been thinking of ALew, I hope she’s ok 😔

Shopping tonight didn’t go very well - need new jeans and shorts but didn’t want to buy any as normal size probably won’t fit right now and am not ready to start shopping for pregnancy yet, not until we pass 12 weeks at least. Also didn’t know whether to buy for warm weather or prepare for Winter...it was all just a bit annoying! So gave up and went out for dinner locally instead using Eat Out to Help Out and it was delicious. Really lovely evening. I must say, getting my nine hours of sleep last night has done me the world of good, know what I need to aim for every night now, I think. Speaking of, should get ready for bed. Night all! X

bubblybon20 · 18/08/2020 22:40

@SkyBlue20 glad you've had it also! I thought it was just how I was sitting earlier but it's actually aching more been lying in bed! Hope is all stretching nicely!
In regards to shopping.. I'm holding off buying anything. Going to wait until after my 12 week scan, then start getting chunky jumpers and cardigans ready for winter, hoping I can hide my pregnancy as long as I can, and winter is the best for it I think! 🤣🤣 Glad you had a lovely evening out!

I was also thinking of Alew, and mrsTtobe.. as they've both been quite for a while 😓

DanceM1 · 18/08/2020 23:15

@Poppy10121 thank you... feeling much better after eating an Indian takeaway.. literally the only thing I could think of that didn't make me feel sick.

@bubblybon20 ive not had back ache but I swear i have suddenly developed a bump. I know its not possible at this stage and it makes me worry slightly as bloating was a bad sign last time but it really doesn't feel like bloating. I had a lot of that as you know a couple of weeks ago but this is completely different... very strange! Ive had 1 or 2 twinges today as well which I'm really hoping is growing pains and nothing worse!

@SkyBlue20 I'm glad you had a nice evening! I bet it was nice to be able to relax and enjoy without feeling too rough.

Pugprincess · 18/08/2020 23:55

@DanceM1 oh no I bloated up last time and have this time, why is it bad? My friend did so I thought it was normal xx

DanceM1 · 19/08/2020 00:01

@Pugprincess oh no im so sorry I didn't mean to worry you. Its not bad at all- sorry I didn't explain properly. I had a lot of bloating just before I found out about my MMC so it makes me worry because it makes me remember that time. But it is a totally normal pregnancy symptom and I had a lot of bloating before my scan at 10 weeks this time and all was good so please don't worry!!

Pugprincess · 19/08/2020 00:08

@DanceM1 ah phew thanks 😊 xx

Poppy10121 · 19/08/2020 07:49

@SkyBlue20 I’ve just given up on jeans and shorts for now! I put on a lot of weight in lockdown and around MMC pregnancy (about a stone) and am getting quite bloated too so I just bought some cheap leggings at the weekend and wearing those with long shirts or just wearing dresses for now which are more forgiving (and comfortable)! I want to get some dungarees for winter but will wait til past 12 weeks. You’re not far off now though?

@DanceM1 I’ve had loads of bloating and indigestion too, I thought it must be all this stomach acidity from the nausea? Do you know if there’s anything we can safely take to help it go away?

SmileyT · 19/08/2020 08:14

@Poppy10121 I swear my rennie, it really helps with not feeling and looking about 5 months pregnant, I can actually see my waist now 🙈 also loads of fruit, veg and protein (also helps loads with nausea even though I don't fancy it, I just force it in and it settles my tummy) x

@Pugprincess your ovulation date is when your egg popped out so working from there is the most accurate anyway ☺️

@bubblybon20 my lower back always plays up, childhood aggressive gymnastics training still coming back to bite me, but it's definitely got much worse... hoping everything is still progressing and it's just stretching x

@SkyBlue20 I went out in jeans last night and I regretted it 😂 tbh I think it is more MMC/ lockdown eating, but I'm holding out buying anything new for another 3/4 weeks as I'm only 9w5

bubblybon20 · 19/08/2020 08:44

@DanceM1 could be a small bump taking shape!! Obviously I've had 2 ds and I just look bloated soooo much so don't think I'll get much shape until 16 weeks lol! But have seen people get bump shapes about 3 months 😍😍

Workingmama1 · 19/08/2020 08:48

@Sakura54 so pleased that your scan went well. It genuinely makes me so happy to see these scan pictures coming through.

I told my parents last night, I had wanted to do it in person but they live down south and seeing as we're not allowed people in private houses in Greater Manchester not sure when I will see them next. Also wanted to share the news before my scan on Monday as I didnt want to only share bad news if that scan isn't OK.

Pulled out some leggings from my draw today, they were my old maternity ones from my daughter! I started putting them on then paniced about it veing bad luck, but told myself to get over it so now comfy in my maternity leggings! Its the bloat that is bad for me, its way worse in the evening... @smileyT lots of rennie being used over here too, also helps as my stomach is pretty unsettled because of my poor diet. I'm still getting boats of diarrhea, not sure if its nerves, poor diet or hormones but it's starting to bug me as its been going on for nearly two weeks now.

Wahayyyyyyyy 3+

Pregnant After MMC - Thread 2
SkyBlue20 · 19/08/2020 11:09

Morning all!

@Pugprincess Amazing, congrats! 🥳 Another milestone ✔️

@Workingmama1 Such a shame you couldn't tell your parents in person but so lovely that you told them, were they thrilled for you? My bloat is worst in the evenings, too - I wake up looking semi-normal and by the evening I'm a couple of dress sizes bigger 😂🙈

I'm SO achey - my hips, my thighs, my knees, you name it. It's so frustrating. I'm also feeling a lot better (still not perfect, mind) but trying my best not to worry about it and am batting away the thoughts my brain keeps bringing to me about extra aches and lack of symptoms meaning something sinister... Just need to be strong for a couple more weeks and project positivity until my scan 🙏🏼

SkyBlue20 · 19/08/2020 12:10

Got my scan date through! It’s a full three weeks away, on 9th Sept 😫 I’ll be 13+3/13+2 by then (depending on whether we’re going off LMP or what baby was measuring at its scans). At least I can stop running to the letterbox every time the postie arrives now though 😂

Scan dates:
@DanceM1 Monday 24th August 2pm
@bubblybon20 Tuesday 1st September 10:40am
@ew1990 Tuesday 1st September 1.10pm
@SmileyT Monday 7th September 9am
@SkyBlue20 Wednesday 9th September, 11am

Due dates:
@Sakura54 Due: 28/02/21 - 12 +2 weeks

Sakura54 · 19/08/2020 12:44

Thank you so much all for your kind words! Yes, onto the second trimester. I’m relieved and reassured, but don’t feel much else TBH, even though realistically I know things should be ok now. I suppose that’s what MC does to you? My fear has always been late MC/stillbirth though.

I have a date for the 20 week scan and 3 appointments before then. They told me to call if I don’t get my screening results in 2 weeks.

I had a male sonographer, big dude lol. It’s a good thing I’m not shy when it comes to exposing myself to HCPs, but would have been a bit funny if he had to do a transvaginal scan. There’s a lot of Muslim women in this area, so I can’t help but think surely they wouldn’t be booked with him! He was surprised that I had a MMC only recently and didn’t know that ladies were advised to wait for their first period as he tells people to wait 3 months. I think someone needs to get with the times lol.

@SkyBlue20 I went to the dentist a few weeks ago as I’ve been waiting for months to check out a random ache I sometimes get. They couldn’t do any teeth cleaning and no X-ray due to pregnancy. It was very safe in terms of CV though. I used my old certificate seeing as I’m pregnant again meaning it’s valid lol and it’s a good thing they didn’t question me on dates. The MW told me to ask my GP to extend the expiration date near to when it expires, so I’ve just left it for now as it’s only 4 months extra.

@Poppy10121 Gaviscon is safe to take. Not sure if it will help with bloating though as I haven't needed to use it yet.

Bump-wise, I didn’t get much of one and looked about 5 months pregnant when I went into labour. With subsequent pregnancies, the stomach muscles are no longer strong so let’s see what happens this time! I live in loose tops, leggings and jeggings when pregnant.
