Thank you so much all for your kind words! Yes, onto the second trimester. I’m relieved and reassured, but don’t feel much else TBH, even though realistically I know things should be ok now. I suppose that’s what MC does to you? My fear has always been late MC/stillbirth though.
I have a date for the 20 week scan and 3 appointments before then. They told me to call if I don’t get my screening results in 2 weeks.
I had a male sonographer, big dude lol. It’s a good thing I’m not shy when it comes to exposing myself to HCPs, but would have been a bit funny if he had to do a transvaginal scan. There’s a lot of Muslim women in this area, so I can’t help but think surely they wouldn’t be booked with him! He was surprised that I had a MMC only recently and didn’t know that ladies were advised to wait for their first period as he tells people to wait 3 months. I think someone needs to get with the times lol.
@SkyBlue20 I went to the dentist a few weeks ago as I’ve been waiting for months to check out a random ache I sometimes get. They couldn’t do any teeth cleaning and no X-ray due to pregnancy. It was very safe in terms of CV though. I used my old certificate seeing as I’m pregnant again meaning it’s valid lol and it’s a good thing they didn’t question me on dates. The MW told me to ask my GP to extend the expiration date near to when it expires, so I’ve just left it for now as it’s only 4 months extra.
@Poppy10121 Gaviscon is safe to take. Not sure if it will help with bloating though as I haven't needed to use it yet.
Bump-wise, I didn’t get much of one and looked about 5 months pregnant when I went into labour. With subsequent pregnancies, the stomach muscles are no longer strong so let’s see what happens this time! I live in loose tops, leggings and jeggings when pregnant.
