@Homassy @KJB2020 thanks both. I am really struggling with the anxiety. We weren't trying and my DP definitely has mixed feelings. Although he is supportive, I think that if I lost this pregnancy, he wouldn't want to try again for another.

kwastell · 07/08/2020 09:16

@GanderousGoose Congratulations 🥳

I'm sorry you're struggling. I find it helps to try to remember that I am pregnant now, and try to enjoy that. A positive line is better than no line. There's nothing we can do to change what might happen, so try to be happy in the moment.

I know that's easier said than done.

Thanks @kwastell will try to think like that

GanderousGoose · 07/08/2020 10:48

Sadly I'm out. Tests all negative. Obviously a chemical. Feel gutted. Good luck to all you ladies!

kirinm · 07/08/2020 10:53

@ganderousgoose sorry to hear that. I also started to bleed yesterday after a number of positive tests. I'm 42 and this is my second chemical pregnancy in 3 months so am feeling very deflated and unsure if I can keep doing this.

GanderousGoose · 07/08/2020 10:58

So sorry @kirinm. It's a horrible feeling. AF due today / tomorrow for me and I took one expecting a stronger line. Instead - nothing. I know my DP won't want to try for another. Feel v upset. I hope you're ok. Two in three months is really hard.

kwastell · 07/08/2020 12:24

I'm so sorry @GanderousGoose and @kirinm. We're not having much luck here. I've started bleeding and am on the way to the hospital with suspected ectopic pregnancy (based on other symptoms)

GanderousGoose · 07/08/2020 12:37

Oh @kwastell I'm sorry. Let us know how you get on. Hope you are doing ok.

kirinm · 07/08/2020 12:43

Oh no @kwastell I really hope that isn't what it is. As I said in another posts, I bled heavily for weeks with my DD so fingers crossed for you.

KJB2020 · 07/08/2020 12:43

@GanderousGoose @kirinm Really sorry to hear you news 😞 Flowers

@kwastell gosh, I hope your ok, fingers crossed for you that this is a false alarm. Take care

Homassy · 07/08/2020 13:06

@GanderousGoose I'm so very sad to read your updates.I hope you have people around who can look after you. @kirinm I hope this bleed isn't a chemical. Are you being seen or waiting it out and rechecking a test x
@kwastell I hope all goes well with your scan and hope all went well @lastditchattempt20

lastditchattempt20 · 07/08/2020 13:16

@GanderousGoose really sorry to hear you're not optimistic- remember tests can vary a lot though. I think my DH would feel the same so I understand the anxiety.
@kwastell oh no, sorry to hear that. I'm sure they'll look after you and hope you get some answers soon.

lastditchattempt20 · 07/08/2020 13:19

@kirinm hope you're ok- 🤞🏻 bleed turns out to be nothing.
Scan this morning showed intrauterine pregnancy, gestational sac measuring a little behind my estimated date but not too much. Think saw yolk sac inside but too early to see much else definitive. But at least ruled out an ectopic. Going back in 10 days for follow up scan.
Thinking of everyone going through worrying times. xx

Thanks @Homassy but I'm sure, my lines have pretty much disappeared.

Homassy · 07/08/2020 13:24

oh @kirinm I'm so sorry, that's so hard especially after your recent loss. Thinking of you

Homassy · 07/08/2020 13:27

@lastditchattempt20, that wounds cautiously positive. I had almost the same in my last pregnancy. It was hard to wait two weeks for a rescan but everything was well on the second scan. Will keep everything crossed for you

Homassy · 07/08/2020 13:27

Sorry for the typos- sounds not wounds !

KJB2020 · 07/08/2020 14:23

@lastditchattempt20 good to hear that your scan ruled out ectopic, fingers crossed the next 10 days pass quickly and smoothly until your next scan.

kwastell · 07/08/2020 15:06

Hopefully that will be good news at yours next scan @lastditchattempt20

I feel like I'm copying you. Mine's not ectopic either. The person who scanned me said it looked normal for my date but couldn't see a heartbeat yet, but not to worry about that yet. The person who then saw me in the early pregnancy unit after said it was 50/50 and it didn't look too good. I'm choosing to listen to the first person for now. Got another scan in a week.

I also have a urinary tract infection that they've put me on antibiotics for. Just looked it up and apparently that can cause bleeding, although they didn't mention that.

OP posts:
lastditchattempt20 · 07/08/2020 16:05

@kwastell glad to hear it's not all bad news. Not great of them to give you different opinions. Until they know anything more definitive they shouldn't say either way I think. Hope your UTI clears up soon. We'll have to just wait it out I suppose!

Homassy · 07/08/2020 17:01

@kwastell the wait will be tough, but like lastditch said, it's not all bad news. I wish I could think of something helpful to say, but I can't find the right words. It's rubbish, heartbreaking and a hard waiting game but don't lose hope. I had the same story as both of you, age 38 last year, and he's now a boisterous 7 month old (which doesn't go well with pregnancy fatigue). x

kwastell · 08/08/2020 22:32

Anyone got any good news today? How is everyone?

No more bleeding here, so no bad news from me at least.

OP posts:
lastditchattempt20 · 08/08/2020 23:30

Hi @kwastell I know what you mean- we need some happy news! Not much going on here- still have various (good) symptoms but just counting days to next scan... How is your water infection?

lastditchattempt20 · 08/08/2020 23:32

Told MiL our 'news' who was not that fussed tbh and seemed more annoyed that the scan will delay us setting off on holiday. Hmm
