So excited for you @KJB2020!

KJB2020 · 01/03/2021 20:13

@Sunbird24 thank you! Very excited but nervous too!

kwastell · 01/03/2021 20:33

Wow, that is close @KJB2020!

Are you on mat leave now?

@kwastell I’m working until Friday, then off Monday and C-section Tuesday. I’m only taking 12 weeks off work so wanted to work as close to birth as possible! Are you on Mat leave now?

kwastell · 01/03/2021 22:05

Makes sense @KJB2020 💪 you're in the final stretch!

I'm working until 2 weeks before the c-section date. 9 days to go and counting!

@kwastell that’s all going to pass so fast for you now! So exciting! 😁

Homassy · 02/03/2021 09:36

Hi everyone! Lovely to see this thread back Flowers. I’m almost 37 weeks and due elcs at 39 unless labour starts before and trial of vbac ..... getting impatient!

Sunbird24 · 02/03/2021 09:45

So glad to see everyone so close to having their babies in their arms at last. Hopefully this time round it’ll happen for me too 🤞

Homassy · 02/03/2021 14:40

@Sunbird24 it’s lovely to see you back on the board and everything is crossed for you xx

Sunbird24 · 02/03/2021 21:03

If you haven’t already, I think one of you should start an ‘Old ovaries new babies’ thread, as you’ll all be delivering so close together...

KJB2020 · 04/03/2021 21:04

The maternity hospital phoned today to go through all my pre-admission information for section on Tuesday - feeling very real now! 🤩

mouldygrapes · 05/03/2021 13:09

Lovely to see the updates, best of luck to everyone approaching their due dates!
29 weeks here, plodding along

Wavesandsmilesencore · 07/03/2021 20:39

It’s really exciting indeed to see the updates about impending arrivals! I’m on maternity leave as in this country it is compulsory from 8 weeks before due date (and for another 12 weeks after). I’m nearly 35 weeks now and just hoping that the baby doesn’t decide to hang around beyond due date as I’m a bit bored already of this ante natal leave...

KJB2020 · 08/03/2021 14:56

Hey ladies, just a quick update. My waters broke yesterday and my beautiful baby girl 💗 was born this morning by emergency C-Section at 07.05hrs (38w6d) weighing 8lb 6oz. I’m so in love ❤️

mouldygrapes · 08/03/2021 18:01

Congratulations @KJB2020 that’s wonderful news!
Hope you’re recovering well and enjoying time with your little one

Wavesandsmilesencore · 08/03/2021 19:17

Congratulations @KJB2020 and welcome to your little girl. Enjoy every moment!

Sunbird24 · 08/03/2021 23:03

Congratulations @KJB2020! Amazing news, well done Flowers

Homassy · 09/03/2021 11:36

Congratulations @KJB2020 what lovely news! I hope you’re all doing well xx

kwastell · 09/03/2021 20:57

Congratulations @KJB2020 ❤️

Can't believe I'm saying this, but same here. Waters went on Friday morning. Gave birth on Friday evening to a 5lb 14oz girl ❤️

I was almost 36 weeks so still considered premature. She was poorly for a few days but all good now and back home.

Well done @kwastell! She was just impatient to meet you, glad you’re both home safe Flowers

Highlandmama · 09/03/2021 21:40

Oooh this thread is back! Congratulations on the lovely baby news @KJB2020 and @kwastell and so lovely to hear others are so far on! I had my 20 week scan today and all is well. Another boy for me (send wine!) will be 38 when baby arrives. Can feel little monkey kicking right now 🥰

KJB2020 · 09/03/2021 22:08

@kwastell congratulations 🎉 what lovely news, glad she is doing well now and that you are home. I got home this evening, it’s lovely to be home and looking forward to hopefully getting some better rest at home

Wavesandsmilesencore · 10/03/2021 11:26

Congratulations to you and your family @kwastell! How great to be home already 😊

I’m hoping I don’t have too much longer to wait, but have today had more clarity on the restrictions in the hospital here due to covid-19. Unlike U.K., it’s mandatory to wear masks during labour/delivery (at least whenever staff are in the room) and after births are not permitted so I’m having to rethink my birth plan. Hoping whatever happens it is relatively straightforward

lucieloos · 10/03/2021 12:41

Congratulations @KJB2020 and @kwastell such lovely news!

Anybody here planning a home birth? I'm really considering it although I haven't mentioned it to midwife or consultant yet. I had a emcs for my 2nd baby so I imagine it will be a battle to get one but I just can't bear the thought of being on a labour ward, hooked up to machines and barely able to move around the whole time 😥

Homassy · 10/03/2021 16:30

Congratulations @kwastell!! Lovely news and a good weight for dates. Hope you’re ok. @Wavesandsmilesencore c19 is such a nightmare. It’s really making everything v difficult. I’m sorry you prob won’t get home birth. Childcare is an issue here and mentally preparing to go it alone for most of labour. I’m 38 weeks and not sleeping. Come on baby ....
