@Highlandmama it didn't put me off though so maybe that's some hope right there. It does get better, I've always hated the first trimester (+4ish weeks for nausea to go for me) then it's better I reckon.

Honeydukesmum · 17/12/2020 22:26

Hi all and merry Xmas xx

Gone in to tier 3 today and hoping doesn’t change maternity access .. would be first time partner could come to nye anomaly scan as we hadn’t told any one for first scans as wanted NIPt back so no childcare . Will be gutted if told no partners can come but will survive 😣

How’s everyone Xmas plans etc going, I’m trying to minimise shops etc so will be a fairly simple one. No family mixing etc but that’s been decided by everyone ( parents live few hours away and over 70) not just us . Our 2 girls ( 3 and 18 months ) loving the lights etc so we will have fun I’m sure

Vie8126 · 18/12/2020 08:57

So sorry @m4v3r1ck xxx

@Highlandmama god isn't it! I'm 7w5 today so a little behind you we had a scan which showed a heartbeat but I'm still stressing as anything could change. Trying to hide the sickness from my grown up children and wondering how I am going to manage that over Xmas! Trying to remain level headed and not get too excited like you. Managed to hide it from work and finished yesterday until January so at least that's done! 12 week NHS scan not until 22nd January long time still to go... Its so hard isn't it.

CC81 · 22/12/2020 22:34

@lucieloos - Thanks again for your reassurance recently. Had my NIPT results today and thankfully all low risk! I've been horrendously anxious for the last couple of weeks. My background risk was 1 in 41 (due to twins - normally would have been 1 in 82, I think). Also had a private scan with a consultant - all seems ok so far and measuring at 11+5.

@M4v3r1ck - So sorry to read your update. As I saw you say on another thread, it's encouraging to know you can get pregnant - but doesn't make this situation any easier, I'm sure. xxx

lucieloos · 22/12/2020 23:28

@CC81 that's fantastic news hopefully you can relax a little over Christmas now. Such a horrible wait for those results!

Sleeeeeepy · 23/12/2020 11:42

Great news @CC81 what a brilliant Christmas present!!

KJB2020 · 23/12/2020 18:52

Hi everyone, sorry I’ve been really quiet on here for a while, work has been crazy busy! Hope
You are all doing well and looking forward to Some time to relax over Christmas? I’m 28w1d now and had my 28 week scan today, all great with the baby and no concerns, except that it is measuring large! Measuring between 90-97 centile with an estimated current weight of 3lb! So I have to get the test for GD on Tuesday to rule that out, but they think it’s just a tall baby - my partner is over 6ft and I’m 5’8. I haven’t put on any weight myself, infact I still weigh less than when I got
Pregnant because I lost almost 2 stone in first trimester and my bump is really small. This is my first baby so now worrying about this. I’ve been having my scans at a midwife unit but not have to have next scan at the Maternity Hospital and see a Consultant to keep an eye on the growth.

CC81 · 23/12/2020 22:37

Thanks @lucieloos and @Sleeeeeepy - yes, it's made such a difference to the Christmas break. I honestly don't think I've ever been so anxious about something in my life (and I'm an anxious person)!

@KJB2020 - Hope all goes ok. My first baby was 99th percentile at birth - mostly because she's tall. I had no GD or any other issues. And she was fine too! Thankfully I had a c-section, but no one had ANY idea before she was born - she was predicted to be pretty average (based on my measurements, scans, etc).

lucieloos · 23/12/2020 23:16

@KJB2020 I was the other end of the scale and my first was born on the 7th percentile but she was actually predicted to be a pretty average weight. The predictions and scans etc aren't always accurate and even if it is a big baby you will be absolutely fine. I had to have growth scans with my second baby and now also this one as they make such a fuss about the growth thing because one was allegedly small. Second was fine and weighed just over a pound more and this one will be fine too. Don't stress about it.

KJB2020 · 23/12/2020 23:21

@CC81 and @lucieloos thank you both for your reassurance it’s much appreciated! I’ve had a very straightforward easy pregnancy so far and was a bit surprised with everything I got told today and been worrying all day since. Hopefully the GD test is negative next week and baby slows down on the growing 😂. Time is passing fast now so hopefully that continues for the next 11 weeks!

Sunbird24 · 24/12/2020 21:47

@KJB2020 don’t worry, my mum was only 5’4”, my brother was 10lb 7oz and I was 9lb 15.5oz, we were both 21” long. We blame my dad’s side of the family, they’re (mostly) tall. Sure you will be absolutely fine, but will keep things crossed for your GD test anyway!

Honeydukesmum · 01/01/2021 13:56

Hi ladies :) Had my anomaly scan on Nye .. thankfully all well and most definitely a boy 😂🙈 slight hiccup as our 2 girls had full on toddler melt down so daddy couldn’t leave them with Nana so missed scan 🤦‍♀️ But their needs came first .. may be he’ll finally see him at the growth scans 😂

Hope every one had lovely Xmas and happy new year xx

Sleeeeeepy · 09/01/2021 13:02

Unfortunately some sad news. I had a scan today and the littlie stopped growing a few weeks ago. My body hasn't realised so I'll need to go in for management.

Honeydukesmum · 09/01/2021 13:20

@Sleeeeeepy my thoughts are with you xx

Sunbird24 · 09/01/2021 13:48

So sorry @Sleeeeeepy, have you got some RL support? X

Sleeeeeepy · 09/01/2021 14:05

@Sunbird24 yes thanks, DH is super supportive and my mum is coming tomorrow (she's in our support bubble)x

Glad to hear it, nothing can make it better but a hug from your mum is always a good thing

lucieloos · 09/01/2021 20:02

@Sleeeeeepy so sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you.

CC81 · 10/01/2021 17:33

So sorry @Sleeeeeepy - hope you're doing ok and the family support is helping.

Highlandmama · 12/01/2021 20:26

@Sleeeeeepy so so sorry for your news. Your body just isn’t ready to let go yet. xxx

Sunbird24 · 28/02/2021 20:53

Hello again fellow ‘geriatrics’!
I’ve just got a proper BFP after my FET (9 days ago, 2 embryos) Fingers crossed I get a bit further along this time...

CC81 · 01/03/2021 14:51

Best of luck, @Sunbird24 xxx

kwastell · 01/03/2021 18:57

Congratulations @Sunbird24, lovely news 🎉

How is everyone else doing? I've got less than 4 weeks to go until a planned c-section 😱

Sunbird24 · 01/03/2021 19:16

Wow @kwastell that seems like it’s come around really quickly, although I bet it doesn’t feel the same for you!

KJB2020 · 01/03/2021 19:25

@Sunbird24 congratulations 🎉

@kwastell exciting and not long for you now! I am having a planned c-section a week tomorrow which is exactly at 39 weeks, due to baby being breech. Can’t believe it’s so close now!
