Congratulations on twins @CC81! How are you feeling now?

Welcome @feistymumma. I’m nearly 21 weeks now and just turned 42. This is baby #5 for me and my oldest will be just about 17 when this one arrives, if all goes well.

I had my monthly appointment today and saw a very active baby waving and touching his feet. I have my big scan on Thursday so both anxious and excited for that. And I’ve realised that with annual leave over Christmas and the mandatory antenatal for 8 weeks here I only have 9 working weeks left! I have too much to do and hope the company manages to avoid the usual bureaucracy and organises a proper cover ASAP...

I'm really early days, not even five weeks yet, but I'm already really bloated and have had to go up a jeans size (to ones I already had for weight gain!) I shudder to think what I'm going to be like after Xmas, they'll need a crane to get me out the door!

Hi all hope you don't mind me jumping in.
I'm 38. I have 3 children age 12, 14, and 18. All to my previous partner. I have a new partner now so we wanted a baby together.
I got a bfp about 2 weeks ago. I didn't have a clue I was pregnant we had stopped trying, I was becoming obsessed.
My last period was 13th October so due around 20th July.
I have got a scan a week on Wednesday. I'm on pins.
I've had 4 previous miscarriages. And lost twins at 21 weeks.
But this is my first pregnancy since my 12 year old daughter.
It doesn't feel real.
I have sore boobs and nipples . And all day nausea.
I got cyclizine of my gp to ease it but it hasn't worked. But im willing to put up with it all for this bean .
How is everyone else feeling,?

Oh forgot to say. On the morning before I got the bfp i had very bad cramping. So thought my period was on its way as it was due that day. I was curled up for 2 hours in pain. Then it just dissapeared. still no AF so I tested 😊

I'm feeling ok, thank you - was a bit nauseous and tired during the week, but a bit better over the weekend (seems to be a pattern!).

Had my booking in appointment on Friday, so that's another small milestone. Feeling calmer about the twins thing now, but very cautious.

@Sleeeeeepy - Similar here, I'd say bloating and discomfort has been my primary symptom! Circa 7-8 weeks now.

Jeans are definitely out! If I have to leave the house or see people, it's stretchy leggings and a loose dress.

(Don't want to unpack my maternity clothes until I'm much further on.)

Hi all jumping over from the other thread as got my BFP this week. 39 turning 40 in Feb partner is 30 (new partner). I have three children who are 20, 16 and 12 so this is a massive gap! We've been trying for a year and had a CP in June. Was a lady obsessed with Opks and symptom spotting and put it all to bed and said we'll if it doesn't happen the kids are all growing up and we can just enjoy our adult time and bam I'm pregnant!

Trying to keep positive but also analysing everything like mad. Dates make me 5w2 today we have a private scan booked for just before Xmas.

Feeling shattered and asleep by 8pm most nights and have sore nipples but no sickness as yet or anything else. Odd cramping on and off. Defo bloated already the zip on my skinny jeans kept doing its own thing yest 😂

@Vie8126 congratulations.

More or less same as me. I'm 38. Kids 11,14 and 18. We had given up to . As soon as given up got bfp 😊

I had my 16 week appt but because it was only 15 plus 4 they didn’t want to try listening in. I knew was a possibility but I’d have loved to hear him. And now the long wait to 28 weeks to I can ( and scan of course).

We’ve now told closest people but holding off any further to after the New Year’s Eve scan ( beauty of not really seeing people with a bump 😂) is it bad I’m kind of tempted this time to just announce to others when babies arrived 😜

@Vie8126 yea I feel the same. Such a big gap. It seems like so long ago and so much has changed.
I'm feeling nausea all day atm. Andsore nipples.
We haven't told anybody. With my history of miscarriages we wanted to wait tillwere past the 12 weeks. But its hard when your feeling so sick to put a smile on and act normal xx

@Hayleywoody82 I've told my 3 closest friends as we was arranging a boozy dinner but then turned out I was premature as we have been put in Tier 2 so can't anyway! Other than that keeping it quiet and literally wishing the weeks away!

I need help girls or just someone to talk to. I'm utterly lost and devastated. Sometimes its easier to speak to strangers.

I've not been to sleep yet hence the early message.
I found out last night my partner has been texting my estate friend. Well they've been texting eachother. Her husband found the texts.
All messages were deleted from them apart from the ones yesterday that she had obviously not deleted yet.
He had text her saying he hoped fate brought them together. And another saying he wanted to squeeze her.

Now we have been going through a really tough time. We had stopped trying for a baby because we didn't even know if we were gonna be together. But then I just fell pregnant both said we would make it work.
My so called best friend is also going through the same and her marriage hanging on by a thread.
They have both said nothing has happened, they were both venting to each other about there relationship.
This friend I tell everything to. I've vented to her many nights. And all this time they've had this texting relationship going on.

I don't think he even wants the baby.
He has told me he doesn't know if he's in love with me anymore 😔 and that he doesn't know if he even wants to try.

I'm so lost and confused. I feel lonely. I lost my best friend and fiance in a matter of minutes.

I'm so sorry to bring negativity to this thread. I just needed to talk 😪

I'm so embarrassed to even write that. I feel so stupid.

My friend is beautiful and slim. I feel disgusting atm 😔

@Hayleywoody82 - I'm so sorry this has happened to you. What a pair of selfish idiots they are.

What's your home situation? Do you have other children? Can you ask him to leave while you think things over?

Is there anyone else you can lean on?

@Hayleywoody82 here to hold your hand. Just after my BFP I found out my DP was cheating and he’s gone. I’m still not quite at the point of having got my head around this but it’s getting a bit easier each day....

I’ve only told my employer and now 2 friends in real life about my baby, partly as I’m still figuring out how i will make everything work but I know I will, and my children in the end will be happy to have a new baby brother. But it’s going to be so so different to what I imagined!

Take it super easy on yourself and hopefully the space from him will help a little

They haven't physically done anything just seems alot of flirting and common ground. Still cheating in my eyes.
I'm more gutted about my friend. She was literally like my sister 😔
Everything I spoke to her about she was going back abd telling him. It knocks me sick .

I'm so sorry @HayleyWoody82 here to listen also. When I had my youngest i found out when she was 6 weeks old that my then husband had been cheating on me with a barely turned 18 year old girl my entire pregnancy. It was the worse thing in the world. Keep calm keep strong rest when you need it and make sure you eat, vent when you need to this is a horrible double betrayal. Sending love x

@Hayleywoody82 make sure you eat your body needs it I didn't eat when I should have and I made myself ill. It does get easier I promise you that. Have you spoken to him much?

@Vie8126 yes we have. I've been through every emotion today. The last one being anger i told him to go. Xx
