May be ask if the harmony includes Papp A ( any thing else the nuchal bloods also check for) it may be they do that as part of yours. Low Papp- a can need a different care pathway as can need aspirin, extra growth scans etc ( can be linked to low birth weight etc) . It’s an incidental thing that gets identified when they return run the nuchal bloods .

Hi,

Can I very very tentatively join you all?

I’m 38 and had been ttc my fourth for 14 months (3 dc are from a previous relationship).

We had 3 losses this year and last weekend got a bfp.

I’m extremely cautious as I had 2 chemicals and a 9 weeks loss, but so so happy right now to be here and just keeping everything crossed.

I’m only 4+3 so super early.

Xx

Sunbird24 · 13/11/2020 13:49

Hi @Moominmiss! Congrats on your BFP, hope this is the one that sticks for you

CC81 · 13/11/2020 18:46

Re: NIPT plus 12-week nuchal scan - The NHS view on this is that it can cause unnecessary worry, if the NIPT is clear but then the 12-week scan shows something that needs more investigation. This is a valid point.

However, the 12-week scan is good for other things, too - like checking for any other obvious problems at any early stage.

First time around, I did both and was glad I did, for peace of mind. If the 12-week scan had showed any concerns, I'd simply have done a second NIPT test, with an alternative provider. That's my view this time, too, if we make it that far.

@Moominmiss - Welcome and massive fingers crossed for you. Sounds like you've had a tough year.

I'm on the tentative bench with you, as you can probably tell from my posts so far! Blush I'm struggling a LOT with anxiety about this pregnancy. I'm roughly 6 weeks.

lucieloos · 13/11/2020 18:47

@CC81 yes I'll still be having the 12 week scan just not the combined test.

CC81 · 13/11/2020 21:11

@lucieloos - That's good. Everyone feels differently about it, I think.

My 'kitchen sink' approach isn't necessarily the best! It's just my personality. I always take things to extremes, especially when anxious Confused

CC81 · 16/11/2020 14:17

How is everyone getting on?

I've felt much more sick the last couple of days. Very nervous about 8-week scan next Thursday.

M4v3r1ck · 16/11/2020 16:08

Oops thought I had replied! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Moominmiss welcome and congratulations on the BFP! Fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@mouldygrapes @Honeydukesmum great news re: scans! 😍😍😍 funny how you have a sex in mind! I'm convinced I have a boy, but DH thinks a girl! 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Sunbird24 is it this week for your scan?

@CC81 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you for next week! I'm sorry you're struggling with anxiety. I've seen ads for pregnancy meditation etc, would that be of any help? Has anyone tried that? Considering looking into it as I'm having crazy stress dreams at the moment! 😳

Sunbird24 · 16/11/2020 20:24

@M4v3r1ck yes, Weds pm. Hoping I can come away with a pic (as long as it’s good news) even if it’s just on my phone!

CC81 · 17/11/2020 08:34

Good luck tomorrow, @Sunbird24! Fingers crossed for you. xxx

@M4v3r1ck - No, haven't tried meditation, but maybe I should! I'm mostly trying to stay distracted, with toddler, work, good TV, etc.

I wasn't like this in early pregnancy with my first child. I think because I was only 35 then, so the stakes didn't feel so high! I'm struggling to believe it's real. Time seems to be going so slowly, too!

Sleeeeeepy · 17/11/2020 12:53

I got a BFP!!!! Very very early days but wanted to jump on board and see how you ladies are getting on with your pregnancies x

lucieloos · 17/11/2020 13:33

Sleeeeeepy · 18/11/2020 15:31

Jcc16 · 18/11/2020 19:03

Hi, I hope you don’t mind me joining in to ask advice! 8 weeks pregnant with first baby at 40. Early mc this year. Looking to book harmony test in London and just wondered if anyone had recommendations on where to get it done? I’ve had a look and have been drawn to feral medicine centre but I think their results take 2 weeks.

Jcc16 · 18/11/2020 19:08

So sorry to read your sad news x

Sunbird24 · 18/11/2020 19:42

@Jcc16 thank you, your autocorrect made me laugh! The feral medicine centre sounds a bit dangerous... Best of luck wherever you end up choosing

Jcc16 · 18/11/2020 19:48

Oops! But at least it made you smile x

lucieloos · 18/11/2020 19:56

So sorry @Sunbird24 x

Homassy · 18/11/2020 20:04

So very sorry @Sunbird24. X

Homassy · 18/11/2020 20:06

How are you @kwastell and the second trimester crew? I’ve had my consultation t led appointment which wasn’t that helpful but at least a plan for vbac before 39 weeks and cs if no labour by 39 weeks. Hope the first trimester crew are ok - and those with nausea or sickness are improving
