@mouldygrapes yes I know what you mean. I've had multiple chemicals though and it did show on the tests with them getting lighter each day which is why I'm on edge I guess. I just like to see things are progressing and not going backwards.

Homassy · 13/10/2020 16:36

@lucieloos it's so hard not to (and I'm guilty of not following my own advice) but at this stage levels can fluctuate as can the amount of dye in some tests. It won't make you feel better or less anxious, it will just perpetuate the POAS. All that said I tested loads and agonised over them xx

lucieloos · 13/10/2020 17:10

@Homassy it's hard isn't it. With my 2 other children I tested at certain points and did the digis on certain days to see them change to 2-3 and 3+ so as stressful as it is I know I will do the same with this one as if things progress it does put my mind at ease. Generally when they haven't progressed as they should then things haven't worked out for me. So it's Thursday for the digi for me and then hopefully I will get a 2-3🤞

kwastell · 13/10/2020 19:30

@lucieloos oh no. As @mouldygrapes said hopefully it's down to other fluctuations. Good it came up stronger in your next test. I've had 1 chemical and my line was barely visible at 11 dpo and didn't ever make it to the strength yours is. Even with this pregnancy my line was no where near as strong as yours at 11 dpo, so hopefully that's a good sign. Got my fingers crossed for you x

@kwastell thank you hopefully it was just a dodgy test. I've had a few chemicals too and I never got dark lines they were always fairly pale and then started getting lighter so hopefully it's a good sign.

Homassy · 14/10/2020 11:51

How are people feeling. My bump is showing a lot quicker than with the first and I think I have abs separation already. Feeling a bit more energetic so tried Bodyfit with Amy (prenatal) on you tube. Good to do some gentle exercise.

Otherwise frustrations with work IT are driving me bonkers. Is anyone working from home more due to pregnancy?

kwastell · 14/10/2020 20:41

I'm feeling a lot better, feel pretty much normal again 🎉 Haven't managed to do any exercise though, well done @Homassy

I'm working from home full time. Work in digital so there's no need for us to be in the office.

I still don't have much of a bump. Am trying my best not to read anything into that!

I’m working from home which is great 😁 think I maybe felt baby move last night but as this is my first I don’t really know what to expect!

mouldygrapes · 14/10/2020 21:31

Ooh that’s lovely that bumps are appearing / on the way! I’m still in horrid nausea vomity 1st trimester mode. I also have a UTI and so am feeling extra miserable. On antibiotics but they don’t seem to have kicked in yet.
I know it will get better 🤞🏼🤞🏼
I had to work from home (from bed) today but will likely have to go in tomorrow 😩

Wavesandsmilesencore · 17/10/2020 07:51

Hello all and welcome @lucieloos, sorry you are so worried, I think we’ve all had extra anxiety! Keeping fingers crossed for you... I also had my NIPT test results and was told “baby is normal” (translation issues, English not an official language here). So feeling very relieved to have crossed another hurdle.

I’m also feeling the odd tiny movement here which is quite lovely. I am almost exclusively working from home but just spent two days at a leadership offsite (baggy jumper time) and will be in on Tuesday to do some filming and now need to find clothes that definitely don’t indicate that I’m pregnant.... I am planning to tell work after my 16 week scan and then hang on a bit longer before I tell the kids.

Wishing you all a great weekend, and for those still exhausted and vomiting, maybe a little less of this

Homassy · 17/10/2020 12:27

Hope things are ok @lucieloos . Lovely you’re getting movements @Wavesandsmilesencore - me too, just the odd flutter. Smile

lucieloos · 19/10/2020 22:32

@Wavesandsmilesencore great news on the nipt results and very exciting all those that are feeling movements.

@Homassy all going ok here so far. Got the 2-3 on the digi the end of last week so will do the final one this Thursday / Friday and hopefully get 3+. I will be 5 weeks then and will start thinking about booking an early scan around 7 weeks.

CakeAndPreggers · 20/10/2020 15:16

Hi everyone - me again. 👋🏻

So.... after our Mmc at start of September we hopped back on the train again and this month AF is late.

I know I know - midwives said to wait u til after first period to try again but I couldn't want. And I know that after Mmc/mc cycles can be alllll over the place but this morning I had this.... currently 3days late. I'm squinting and can see a line. It's been there all day even though it's super feint.

Am I going mad?! 🤯

Homassy · 20/10/2020 15:45

@lucieloos great news! Fingers crossed for that 3+ later in the week . And yes @CakeAndPreggers I can see something! Wait a couple of days and check, maybe? It would be wonderful news everything crossed

KJB2020 · 21/10/2020 12:40

How is everyone doing? I’m 19w1d today and just told my work 😬😬 I’m too scared to look at emails now 🤣 good to get it out there too though!

lucieloos · 21/10/2020 15:15

So I decided to do the digi a couple of days early and got the 3+ so feeling very relieved that everything is on track so far! I'm going to our gp with my daughter at the end of next week when I will be 6 weeks so will ask about booking in with the midwife then.

@KJB2020 I'm kind of dreading telling work too as this will be baby no 3 in 4 years 😬 I'm grateful for working at home at the moment which means I can be a chicken and don't have to tell them face to face and can just fire off an email instead!!

KJB2020 · 21/10/2020 15:22

@lucieloos great news about your 3+ 🎉
Yeah that’s what I did today just fired off an email! 😂 they have been very supportive and it’s all been much better received than I imagined. So feeling quite happy and relieved now that they know 😁

Homassy · 21/10/2020 17:28

Great news on the 3+ @lucieloos . Have you tested again @CakeAndPreggers? I’m keeping everything crossed for you.

I just need a cyber cup of tea. Rushing out of work and slipped and fell. Avoided bump but hit elbow hard. Landed in a puddle! Felt so shaken up and embarrassed! Old me would have laughed it off but pregnancy makes you feel so vulnerable... managed to pull my “serene yoga” face and hobble Off but ugh!

Rororow · 22/10/2020 14:54

Hi I went for an early scan for reassurance on Sunday. According to my dates I was 9+2 and scan dated me at 8+1. Saw good strong heartbeat but sonographer made a comment about the sac being a bit small. Now I’m completely freaked out that this is a bad sign, anyone had any experience with this and pregnancy turned out all ok

Waitingforbabypage · 22/10/2020 16:12

Can I jump on here? I'm 35 and pregnant with my 3rd. My youngest is 8 and a lot has changed- not just my age!
Had my booking in, lots of bloods taken. Extra precautions mentioned because of my age.
I'm the same weight (roughly) as I was with my last pregnancy, but teamed with that pesky 35, I'm apparently at risk for way more things and will have to have more scans and all sorts.
I know it's to make sure we're cared for and I really do appreciate that, it just made me feel more anxious.

CakeAndPreggers · 22/10/2020 16:45

Thanks for asking @Homassy.
So I tested again with cheapy ones (ahem far more than 1....) and a bfn.
However, yesterday and today I have v v mild spotting - barely noticeable and definitely not how any of my periods have ever started.
I am absolutely holding out hope that the sperm hung around for the full 5 days they could and I was late in ovulating but they managed to catch each other, just like a plot line from a 90s romcom. And then I hope that the egg was v slow to get its act together down to my uterus and it took a long time to get there and set up camp (I've read it can take 12 days) which would actually take me to yesterday. So..... guess I have to just wait and see what happens. I'll keep enjoying wine until told otherwise! 🍷🤷🏻‍♀️

Homassy · 24/10/2020 09:57

Quiet in here, even for us Wink. @Rororow it’s hard when someone throws in a comment like that and you go away worried. I’ve not had this but I’m sure it’ll be fine. A strong heartbeat is excellent news. @Waitingforbabypage hello and congratulations! Sorry we can be a quiet board but a lovely one and hope you’ll stick around. The first few weeks are the worst but you sound well cared for and a positive spring chicken! I’ve got five years on you. Hope things are ok @CakeAndPreggers

How is everyone? I’ve got a mild tummy bug and feeling utterly rotten. The pregnancy insomnia is also full steam ahead.... trying to positive but it’s hard without enough sleep 😴

KJB2020 · 24/10/2020 17:56

@Homassy sorry to hear your not feeling well, hope you feel better quickly. Insomnia is horrible ☹️ I haven’t been sleeping great either the past couple of weeks.

@Waitingforbabypage congratulations🎉 and welcome to the group. Your still young at 35 Smile sounds like they are taking good care of you.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend

Honeydukesmum · 27/10/2020 16:26

I’ll apologise if I’ve said hi on here before baby brain and all that 🙈

Had my first scan today .. was only measuring 11 weeks so have to go back in 2 weeks for nuchal but booking nipt now I know a bouncy over 10 week bean is there and I’m not imagining it 🥴
Scan was a bit daunting as my partner had to stay with our 2 girls ( 3 and 16 months) but seeing baby and hearing heartbeat was worth it.
Hope ok to join in here xx it’s a funny old ride this pregnancy marlarky and now being 40 it’s stepped up a new level of 😖

KJB2020 · 30/10/2020 17:39

Hey how is everyone doing? It’s been very quiet on here.

Hope everyone is keeping well.

@Honeydukesmum congratulations 🎉 and welcome to the group!

I had my 20 week scan today which was amazing! 😍 I’m 20w3d today, everything looked good on the scan but I have to go back next Friday to finish the scan because baby wouldn’t stop moving and they couldn’t check it’s kidneys.

I hope everyone has had a good week 😁
