Welcome @Rororow and congratulations. How old are your children? Must be hard with morning sickness. I’m sorry about your daughter, I cannot even start to imagine the agony Flowers

KJB2020 · 16/09/2020 19:47

Hi @Rororow and congratulations. I’m really sorry about your daughter, I can’t even begin to imagine how hard that must be Flowers

Elspethelf · 16/09/2020 19:54

@rororow Congratulations and my deepest sympathy for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family

Homassy · 17/09/2020 19:57

I look about six months pregnant!!! Argh! Only put on 1kg.... I’m guessing that all the abs work I did after last one and before this one just isn’t enough. How is everyone?

kwastell · 17/09/2020 21:48

I think I've got a little bump. Not sure if it's that or I'm just a bit more relaxed about keeping my stomach pulled in!

I keep getting the tingly feeling of 'let-down' like I did when I breast fed my son. That's a bit weird.

Only one more injection to go. Last one tomorrow 🎉 So very happy about that.

@Homassy I feel and am sure I look at least 5 months pregnant most of the time. Wasn't skinny before but this is definite pregnancy bulge (plus all the crap I've been eating to beat off the nausea 🙈).

kwastell · 19/09/2020 10:51

For anyone who already has kids, what date will you or did you tell them you're pregnant? Our son is 4, and always asking about a brother or sister, so looking forward to telling him. But thinking we should leave it a bit later than 12 weeks to be safe?

lastditchattempt20 · 19/09/2020 12:58

@kwastell we're not sure how our 6.5yr old Dd is going to take the news... also waiting until results of IONA test after 12 w scan to tell her so hopefully about a week and a half from now until that comes through.

kwastell · 20/09/2020 10:38

@lastditchattempt20 is there a chance they might not be happy about it? Your timing makes sense. We're thinking of going for 15 weeks. (I thought 14, my husband thought 16, so going in the middle)

How is everyone doing?

Feeling sick as a dog and knackered today. Have finished on some of the tablets I was on (prednisone) and there are meant to be withdrawal symptoms. Says online to try and avoid stress - so excellent timing with my 12 week scan and starting a big project at work tomorrow!

@kwastell have you finished all the clexane injections? Fantastic to have got through that stage. Bring on your scan.

My baby is now nine months so telling him is not issue but I’m getting increasing “interested” in how I’ll hope with lugging him around plus bump...

Homassy · 20/09/2020 13:48

Cope not hope!

KJB2020 · 20/09/2020 16:53

@kwastell exciting that you have your 12 week scan this week. That’s good that you are now able to stop some of the medications. Hope you nausea settles quickly, nothing worse.

Let me know how you get on telling your other children. This is my first baby, but my partner has an 8 year old Daughter. We are telling her in a few weeks when I am around 18 weeks and I’m not sure how she is going to handle it.

I’m generally feeling pretty well now and much more like my normal self although still shattered at night by around 8pm. Also never felt so emotional over nothing or very little at times .... 🙈I’m not normally an emotional person at all.

kwastell · 20/09/2020 17:14

Yes all done with the clexane injections @Homassy 🎉

Carrying a baby with a bump might be hard work in the last few months. Keep them in the pram in the house?!

Thanks @KJB2020 I am using it as an excuse to eat a lot of ginger biscuits

How far are you now @KJB2020?

KJB2020 · 20/09/2020 17:22

@kwastell enjoy the ginger biscuits!
I’m 14w 5d today. The past few weeks have gone much quicker than the weeks before my 12w scan did.

EmeraldLily18 · 20/09/2020 17:22

Hey everyone!

Hope you’re all managing well, sorry to read about those who are really struggling with sickness etc.
I’ve been pretty well until last weekend (I’m just over 11 weeks) and this whole week I’ve had pain from my right hip down and across the front of my tummy. It’s not constant but really uncomfortable 😣 My lower back is also getting sore from mid afternoon.
Anyone else having these issues? I have my scan on Friday so I’ll mention to the midwife about it then.

In other news, I went shopping yesterday for some maternity jeans and really struggled to find any anywhere (I’m near a Scottish city so thought I might at least have a choice there!). My usual jeggings are straining over my belly and I wondered if that was what was causing the discomfort but I’ve had maternity ones on all day (only ones I could find were in H&M), feeling the same!
Any recommendations for where to buy maternity clothes, trousers specifically?

Homassy · 20/09/2020 21:56

Hmm @EmeraldLily18. Maybe next? I had h and m over the bump jeggings which I loved last time. But it sounds like h and m ones haven’t worked for you. Are they over bump?

Homassy · 20/09/2020 21:57

I’m being tortured by all my knickers at the moment. I remember this last time. I never found a comfortable style/pair despite trying all sizes and styles maternity and non maternity

kwastell · 21/09/2020 08:17

I got H&M leggings too. I've never found any maternity trousers I like. They're so ugly. Lots of people seem to wear dungarees but can't really pull them off for some work meetings. Luckily for me my work is all remote at the moment so no one can see I'm wearing leggings!

Got some maternity knickers from h&m too.

Am really nervous for my 12 week scan this morning. And have a big work session I'm running straight after so am a bag of nerves.

Good luck for your scan @kwastell. Let us know how it goes xx

KJB2020 · 21/09/2020 09:47

Good luck for your scan @kwastell and good luck at work too I’m sure you will do great!

kwastell · 21/09/2020 10:49

Thank you. All good at the scan. Measuring on the same dates, so due date is still 3 April 🎉

Yay @kwastell Flowers

KJB2020 · 21/09/2020 13:08

Great news @kwastell 🎉

mouldygrapes · 22/09/2020 20:06

Really happy for you @kwastell!

Having a wobbly day today. Very crampy and some light brown spotting earlier today. 5+1today.
Not feeling good about things.
I had horrendous pain last night after orgasm (sorry if TMI) so wondering if that could have shaken some implantation blood loose?
Don’t feel there’s much point heading to EPAU at this early stage. Will watch and wait but it’s horrid
