Hi everyone. Hoping it's ok for me to pop up and say hello. I've been lurking a few days and looks like the thread for me.
I'm 34 and will be 35 by time baby arrives. I've been married nearly 9 years and we've only recently decided that now was the right time for kids. Came off contraception and it took 8 months for us to fall pregnant. At one point I actually thought it was never going to happen. All the apps, the Ov sticks were used and no luck. The last month we ttc I threw all of that in the bin and exhausted my husband! And it worked. Haha.

For me the sickness hasn't been too bad - had one day last week that knocked me sideways but nothing much since. My boobs though are enormous already at 6+4 😬. I'm still wfh and will be for a while yet I think so thankfully I can be bloated in PJs rather than trying to squeeze into an office appropriate dress!

Congratulations and welcome @CakeAndPreggers. The bloating is awful. I seem to remember last time round I looked less pregnant at 15 weeks than at 8. So uncomfortable too.

Hi lovelies, I hope you don't mind me joining.

I am 35 too and loosing all hopes 🙁 been trying since last 3.5 years. Finally starting IUI with Clomid from tomorrow.

My worry is my AMH is 6.8 which is just on the boundary and if IUI will work and also, what else should have NHS prescribed? I mean I read a lot about progesterone and all.

I went to the Dr today, I believe I'm 6 weeks pregnant, so they told me what to expect, took some blood to see hcg levels and booked a scan for 9/9. I'm nervous for the results because any symptoms I have are so mild. I'm wondering if they will share the hcg levels with me from the blood test. Thankfully I was told my husband can come to every appointment which is a relief.

How is everyone doing today?

Doctors should share hcg levels with you @Elspethelf. If they don't you can ask for them.

Am currently staying in a bell tent in the middle of a storm in Devon. It's testing my hormones!

I was just starting down the fertility testing route and then got another BFP. But didn't get the point of being prescribed anything for that.

@Cmini don't feel bad for joining with a surprise BFP, everyone's circumstances are different. Congratulations 🥳

Can I join? I'm 42 and now 8 weeks. I already have dd aged 5.

I'm SO bloated. I left my job a couple of months ago and I'm due to start a new one in Sept. I really look 5 months pregnant right now! I'm worried about fitting into my work clothes.

I’ll add myself once I’ve seen the doctor again for the scan on Saturday if all is well... it’s been such a stressful period since the first super early scan. Also having issues with DP that are very very complicated. I’m glad to be getting away on Sunday for a few weeks

Thanks @CakeAndPreggers and @kwastell, well I’m feeling so tired and have been being very sick and feeling nauseous all the time so trying to take this as a good sign but so nervous for what we see on the scan on Saturday morning. I’ve decided that google is just the worst thing to consult... still, the waiting is nearly over now.

Hi all- hope people have nice BH weekends planned? I'm working two days 😞 eating constantly and trying to ignore nausea... Can't wait for scan date letter...

Morning everyone, hope you’re all well!

I’ve been quiet for a while as exhausted with work and struggling with nausea in the evening (ravenous the rest of the time, snacking through the day has been helping!).
I’m now bursting out of my work clothes so it’s going to be hard to keep it under wraps for another 4 weeks!

We had a private early scan on Tuesday (all looked good, like a tiny dinosaur with a strong heartbeat!), measuring a day or two less than we thought (7+1 at the time).
We are off to share the news with both sets of parents today

So I had my scan and it’s fine! Little baby with a heartbeat and she thinks I was just a week behind dates, so revised EDD of 12 April 2021.
