I completely agree. I saw a therapist during my last pregnancy (that I then lost). They said the same. Not connecting to the pregnancy doesn't protect us from loss or stop us feeling the pain, it just means we don't get to enjoy the time we are pregnant.

I'll have a look at the meditation tonight. x

Hey how is everyone tonight?
@lastditchattempt20 I hope things settle and that you can get another scan for reassurance when you get back, hope you can manage to enjoy some of your break away too.

@homassy the meditation sounds really good, think I’ll take a look as I’m really struggling with sleep.

I have my scan tomorrow morning which I have been so excited about, but now I seems to just be worrying incase something is wrong on it tomorrow. I really hope it is all ok and I can get confirmation of how far along I am.

kwastell · 18/08/2020 22:14

Hope it all goes well for you tomorrow @KJB2020. It's only natural to be nervous but sure everything will be good. Will be exciting to find out how far along you are.

So all good at my scan 😁😍 measuring around 9w6d so got to go back in 2.5 weeks for my 12 week scan and they will officially date baby then. But lovely strong heartbeat and 2arms and 2 legs waving about on the scan 🤩

Thanks ladies! 😁
How are you all today?

kwastell · 19/08/2020 13:56

I'm feeling much better today and yesterday. So either I'm getting used to the medication or it wasn't the medication I was just grumpy 😂

7 weeks 4 days today and wishing time away. Trying to stop myself as I don't plan to have another child after this, so want to try to enjoy it.

I’m a bit glum tbh. Trying to snap out of it. Very first world problem but looking after 8 month today baby and is raining and so bored. I wish there were baby classes or the gym crèche we could go to.

Homassy · 19/08/2020 14:20

Should we do a recap? I wasn’t sure whether to ask or not but I’ll start, no need to join in just thought it might be nice x.

Homassy 40. Second baby unexpectedly quickly after first (long time to conceive and early losses in past). 8 and a half weeks

kwastell · 19/08/2020 15:03

I really feel for people who've lost their maternity leave during Covid - must be so disappointing. Hope you're ok @Homassy and you manage to do a few of the usual baby groups soon.

Wavesandsmilesencore. 5th baby (hopefully if I do have positive news on 29 August). Current DCs are 16, 14, just turned 7 and very nearly 5 (Friday is her birthday). 1st with DP met following my move to Europe for work. Conceived on 5th month of trying. Fingers still crossed but who knows

EmeraldLily18, 35, first baby after trying for 15 cycles (found out the day after DH had his SA!). I’m now around 6 weeks and 5 days Smile

Homassy · 21/08/2020 11:05

How is everyone? Kwastell how are the injections going? Any ideas for the bone crushing fatigue? Ugh

kwastell · 21/08/2020 12:06

I'm afraid I have no suggestions for the fatigue @Homassy other than a nap if you can! It's not been too bad for me this time but was shattered with my son. Had to keep finishing work early, going home for a nap, then carrying on later.

Am very proud of myself for managing to get on with the injections. They're over quick. It's the initial pushing it in that I'm not getting much better at. Stomach looks like a pin cushion now.

Lastditchattempt20, 39, second baby. Conceived on only 3rd month of trying but after 6 yrs of waiting to try following DD1. Finally on the same page so hoping that this one is successful! Due around April 7th if my dates are right.

lastditchattempt20 · 21/08/2020 18:13

Hi all, back from hols which was a nice change of scene. Having pretty murky discharge still though and minimal symptoms so have booked a private reassurance scan for tomorrow. Is that bad? I just don't believe that anything is happening in there... 😕
Also have first appt with MW team this week (🤞🏻) which seems soon. Will be just 8w by then.
Hope you're all ok. @kwastell well done with injections 👍 @Homassy I'm the same with fatigue- nap when you can!

kwastell · 21/08/2020 21:35

Definitely not bad to get a private reassurance scan @lastditchattempt20. If you're worried I think it's the best thing to do. Let us know how it goes.

Glad to hear holiday was a nice change of scene. We've just gone today. 10 hours in the car down to Cornwall 😅

Thanks @kwastell Just been and all is well which is a relief. Measuring right on dates and heard good heartbeat. Now to wait for mw appt this week. Feeling quite nauseous at the moment so just been and stocked up on salty snacks...

kwastell · 22/08/2020 17:46

Phew. That's brilliant news 🎉
