Has anyone ever been falsely diagnosed as miscarrying?

So Tuesday I had a scan which confirmed miscarriage following bleeding. I would have been 6 weeks.

I had a blood test Tuesday and one yesterday and my HCG levels have more than doubled. Nurse said this confirms I’m pregnant.

My head feels like it’s been scrambled!

Has anyone experienced this?

Sorry - as in my hormones have not caught up with the miscarriage. I’m afraid there’s nothing positive to be taken from the facts as they are.

I had bleeding and turned out to be a missed miscarriage (measured 5 weeks 4 days) so it can be possible to be picked up OP!
Hopefully they got it wrong! But then if not I'm a true believer in everything happens for a reason!

Thanks everyone. My levels are continuing to slowly rise so I’m going to discuss an injection today. It seems likely it’s ectopic. My DH just doesn’t understand how damming this all is and thinks we should “wait and see”. Not helped that he hasn’t been able to join me at all at the hospital. I’ve asked if he can come today to speak with the Dr as I think it’s right he asks his questions too.

How are you OP?

HotDogKetchup · 01/08/2020 20:11

It was ectopic and had been missed. I very nearly had methotrexate, but thankfully delayed it until the following day (my choice). At which point my pain had worsened overnight. I was finally examined by a consultant and had a third transvaginal scan with them. Consultant found a tubal ectopic pregnancy and internal bleeding almost straight away. I had emergency surgery and the affected tube removed.

Thank god I didn’t take the methotrexate as I think they would have attributed my pain to that and I’d still be bleeding now.

Consultant felt that there had been too much focus on my empty womb and not enough focus on my rising HCG levels and the fact that the pregnancy was growing elsewhere.

Sorry you’ve been through this OP, though I’m glad to hear it’s now treated. What a confusing time. Hope you have lots of support.

Need some advice on brown spotting please!
Hi everyone, im currently 7 weeks 3 days pregnant and started brown spotting on Saturday morning. Was a very small amount, stopped around 2pm.

Went for a scan straight away, saw baby with a strong heartbeat -142bpm
Doc said there was some bleeding in the gestational sac which he said can be normal but today the spotting has become slightly heavy

Anyone experienced this?
Ive already had two miscarriages this year and the spotting is completely different this time round. Thank you

@May21x please start your own thread. People won't see this post.

I haven't experienced this, although I had spotting with my pregnancies. Can't remember which week though. I put it down to implantation bleeding, but who knows, really.
