Morning, After my short hospital stay I was sent home with Cyclizine to try to stop the sickness. Although it seems to have just about taken the edge off, I'm still not eating (the occasional digestive biscuit stays down) so I shall see how I go for a couple more days then it may end up being back to gp/hospital!

Tiff94 · 01/09/2020 08:30

@AlbertCookie if they don't work call the gp mine put me on the and prochlorperazine as they cyclizine disnt work for me only now that I'm taking both together do a feel a little better I managed yesterday for the first time not vomiting all day I'm aiming for day 2 today hopefully nausea is still there though xxx.

@Tiff94 glad you managed a good day yesterday. Hopefully things will get better from now on.

@AlbertCookie I was put on cyclizine too but it took a few days to get the timing right as it take a while to kick in then only lasts about 5 hours for me. I think it's easier the more you can eat. Hopefully it works for you too! Xx

Thanks for making me aware of this lovely thread @Tiff94 Smile

Wondering if I can tentatively join...

I'm due 20th of April, so I'm only 7 weeks along but i'm feeling very nervous after two previous MCs this year.

I'm going for an early scan on the 9th September, so I have everything crossed for then!

Is anyone else having early scans? Have partners been able to attend too?Hmm

Tiff94 · 01/09/2020 19:07

@May182 I've had an early scan at 6+4 and DH was allowed to attended. It was an internal one very simple not painful at all. Had my booking in app today and asked the midwife and she told me DH is now allowed to come to my nhs scan at 12 wk on 24th sept I'm 9+2 today so was so happy to hear there starting to relax the restrictions about partners. Xx

@May182 Welcome! I'm due 22nd April so we're close - I've booked in an early scan for 12th September, can't wait!

@Tiff94 Great news re the 12 week scan!

May182 · 01/09/2020 19:48

@Tiff94 that's great news that the NHS are beginning to allow partners to attend! Was your early scan through your EPAU or did you book to go privately?

@LeopardLover How exciting! It's so nice to talk to ladies who are at the same stage of pregnancy Smile

Tiff94 · 01/09/2020 20:08

@May182 I booked and went private with window to the womb a few other girls on here did the same it cost £79 and you get a take home picture xx

@LeopardLover I was so happy to find it out I rang DH straight away to tell him

OP posts:
LeopardLover · 01/09/2020 20:27

@May182 Definitely! We're currently keeping it between just DH and I so it's also nice to just talk things through with others!

I've booked my scan in with Window to the Womb. I'm not sure what to expect though - is the internal scan similar to a smear test re discomfort @Tiff94? 🤔 I bet DH was thrilled!! 💜

Tiff94 · 01/09/2020 21:36

@LeopardLover I think easier then a smear tbh it's literally a long stick kinda thing but only the tips goes in. I didn't find it too discomforting if you know what I mean

@doritodiva welcome glad to have you Join is. How have you been feeling so far ? X

OP posts:
doritodiva · 04/09/2020 14:02

@Tiff94 not too good. On meds for hyperemesis. Feeling very tired. Not sure if that's due to meds though.

Tiff94 · 04/09/2020 14:23

@doritodiva I'm the same they tried 3 different types of meds for me and ever since I've been on meds I sleep ever day in the afternoon I'm so tired all the time I normally wake up eat dinner and go back to sleep

OP posts:
doritodiva · 04/09/2020 19:56

@Tiff94 I've cut down to two today on advice from the dr. Hoping that will make a difference.

Tiff94 · 04/09/2020 21:55

@doritodiva I've noticed with my new meds if I don't take leading up to the 8hour mark the nausea returns. I had one sore today compared to my normal 10+ but that was after the car ride home which always upsets my stomach now. Had a vomit free day Thursday so once today wasn't too bad let's see how the weekend goes
