I feel very bloated today and still crampy. Hoping it means all is well as I had lots of stretching cramps with my first. No sickness yet but a little nausea.
@Tiff94 I slept badly too! Too hot!

Hoping to join your early scan club too. I've got a window on the womb place nearby so reckon I'll book in there ASAP. Does anyone know if Dad's definitely aren't allowed at the NHS scans? I'm Midlands and our hospital website says they can and can't. So very clear....

Tiff94 · 09/08/2020 11:23

@ML3on4tay I've been told on my letter from nhs for my scan that he can't attend and won't be allowed at any appointment (unless this changes in next few month) that's why I wanted early scan at least he definitely can come to that's and it will be the first scan so I don't want him to miss that. I'm in Surrey this could be why as I know our hospitals have been very busy during covid-19

@Tiff94 sounds like a great breakfast! Ha and at least you managed to get something to stay down, so sorry to hear that nausea is bad :( I managed to get better sleep and instead of 4am was 3am! Yey, hopefully this heat will change with the pending thunderstorms, but ridiculous at the moment!
We have brought some pillow cool matts that are super for cooling head and helping you go to sleep, worth a try and really were not expensive!

Tiff94 · 09/08/2020 11:36

@Milliemoo222 I might hives those a try because the sleepless nights take a toll on me during the day like right now I'd normally be doing something but I'm literally sat in front of a fan chilling because I just can't...

Milliemoo222 · 09/08/2020 12:07

@Tiff94 we got from amazon, search cooling pillow pads, just need to check the sizes as some are a bit small.
That or I used to put a bottle of water in the fridge all day and pour into a hot water bottle without the cover for night time- that is a lifesaver too if waiting on others. Have a relaxing day, don't overdo it too much.

ML3on4tay · 09/08/2020 12:12

@Tiff94 oh that's rubbish. Yeah I don't blame you wanting to book a private scan - it's such a lovely moment.

Definitely have a restful day. Love a good afternoon nap too.

Sals27 · 09/08/2020 13:13

I keep coming across April 2021 threads so joining them all as I'm not sure which one is the right thread, this is now the third one I'm on but looks to be the most active. So hi everyone! I got my surprise BFP last week. We were planning on DC2 but not quite yet, delighted though! No symptoms yet! My EDD is 11th April

April2021 · 09/08/2020 13:23

Feeling good today although I was up at silly o clock last night also as I see a few of you were too! Some sight nausea yesterday evening again but I probably only noticed as I was watching out for it. Have been able to eat as normal so far. Only 5+3 so early days.

I don't have an early scan booked yet, going to ring the hospital next week. I'm going privately in Ireland so it's different to the NHS. Most consultants do an early scan as part of monitoring. I will see what they say next week.

April2021 · 09/08/2020 13:24

@Sals27 this is the second group I'm part of also! This group seems to be chattier. I'm new to mumsnet so trying to work my way around it Smile

Jigglypuff88 · 09/08/2020 14:56

@Sals27 this is the third one I’ve joined too 🤣

I am due 12/4. No significant symptoms - backache, fatigue and minor pelvic pain.

Tiff94 · 09/08/2020 14:59

@Sals27 I think your in another one in the birth club section with me too. I'm his is definitely a chatty group we love to know how each other are doing everyone is welcome glad some many can join all the April baby mumma are great here xxx

@Milliemoo222 thanks checking them out now. I love to hot water bottle idea I'm going to try that tonight xxx

@ML3on4tay I just feel they should get to be as much apart as well are. He's probably miss out on all the rest if the restrictions don't change.

Sals27 · 09/08/2020 15:20

@tiff94 I am, I'm in them all Grin

I joined a group like this on here for my Sept18 baby, which turned into a FB group and I'm still in the group now it's fab as especially in the early days when no-one knows, it's so good to have a place to witter on about pregnancy related things that would bore everyone else to tears! Smile

I've just booked an 8 week scan for the 29th August so I'm looking forward to that!

What vitamins is everyone taking? I'm just on bog standard folic + vit d but I keep forgetting to take them Blush

Tiff94 · 09/08/2020 15:24

@Sals27 haha 😂 when I found out I started two threads and this one is definitely more actively chatty. My scan is Thursday I'm super excited to go. I'm just taking like you the folic acid but I remember most days think I've missed two or three haha not many though. It's n my morning routine now

OP posts:
Sals27 · 09/08/2020 15:59

@tiff94 I'm terrible at remembering to take things anyway but these I have to keep them out of sight because my daughter seems to think running around shaking the bottle is the best fun ever, so it's either out of sight out of mind or I can never find the damn things because she's put them somewhere 🙄

Kop22 · 09/08/2020 17:12

Hi ladies 6 + 2 DD 2nd April,Congratulations to you all! need a bit of advice not sure if I’m panicking unduly but I had a very small amount of brown spotting today with a tiny clot - has anyone experienced this? Is it normal mild Sunday afternoon panic attack here xx

Tiff94 · 09/08/2020 17:54

Okay ladies,

I've just started a Facebook group for all us on here if you want to join that at some stage that would be a great way to share our experiences together. If you don't use fa book much (like myself ) I will still keep the threads running for anyone on them.

Here is the Facebook group link it's a private page

Tiff94 · 09/08/2020 17:55

@Kop22 welcome glad to have you join us. Sorry to hear about the bleeding I'm unsure about that. If it gets too much I would give the early pregnancy unit at the hospital a call just to be safe xx

OP posts:
thewallisblue · 09/08/2020 18:00

Tiff94 thanks for the welcome! Have been feeling a bit nauseous, but so hard to know if I'm imagining it.. how about you?

It's so exciting though!

Tiff94 · 09/08/2020 18:07

@thewallisblue since the nausea stopped this morning I've been feel alright except for this heat and a bit tired 💤
Is so exciting I still can't believe it's real

OP posts:
myheadisajunglejungle · 09/08/2020 18:08

@Kop22 I think perhaps you can be reassured by the fact that it's brown and not red, but I'm no expert.

I am tired today. Insomnia plus a toddler who won't stay in his own bed, plus not sitting down since lunchtime. My boobs are throbbing and after 24 hours of being quite calm and 'what will be will be', I'm now on permanent knicker watch, as if I didn't spend enough time in the loo already.

I also haven't told my husband yet Confused

Noneyerbuisness11234 · 09/08/2020 20:46

@Kop22 they say that brown discharge is ur old blood leaving the womb but I would ring maternity just for reassurance

@Tiff94 I'm not on any social media at all so please do keep these going keeps me a bit sane knowing I'm not on my own lol

Welcome newbies

Tiff94 · 10/08/2020 03:24

@Noneyerbuisness11234 of course will keep them going I barely use social media myself. I just heard that most of the threads change over to fb so thought I'd do a group for anyone wanting to join.

Here it is 3:23 and I can't sleep. It's so hot it's making me nauseous 🤢

OP posts:
xxhetty · 10/08/2020 04:21

I'm the same @Tiff94 really struggling with the sleep at the moment!

Tiff94 · 10/08/2020 04:39

@xxhetty literally it's a killer I've been laying/sitting up since 2:20. I'm feel so sick and this heat is making me so much worst. My eyes are so sore 😓
