Okay I'm still super nervous but time to take the plunge and started a Grad bus for the recent BFPs from the main thread. According to NHS calculator I'm due 18th March and it's #1 for me 😬

@Bl0ndi3 yeah I think that's a good idea at 9/10 weeks so you can tell people. It will be hard to hide it with it being your 30th. And would be nice for your OH to get to go too. I'd maybe book it in though or they might get booked up and you won't be able to get one? X

@SmileyT yeah I am going to make an effort to try and eat healthier too but it is hard when feeling tired! Having a big spring clean today and feel exhausted! X

Bl0ndi3 · 20/07/2020 13:05

@Cocoblue22 yeah I'd been thinking that I might just book it this week save any hassle when it comes to it later down the line! Good idea 🥰

LittleRa · 20/07/2020 13:56

Midwives have just phoned, booking in appointment 11th Aug, unfortunately won’t be able to be with my own midwife as she’s on holiday then. Height, weight, bloods etc. I have to wear a mask and go by myself (was expecting). I’m still feeling fine, although bloated and fat!

Was kindly given the link to the graduate thread after my BFP this morning 😄

@zippityzip CONGRATULATIONS 🥰🥰🥰

Bl0ndi3 · 20/07/2020 14:26

@SmileyT @Cocoblue22 I've just bought chia seeds lol!! I also made a ridiculous amount of vegetable soup for my lunches this week and just trying really hard to be healthy as possible!

I'm a vegetarian so concerned about getting all the right nutrients 🤣 particularly omega 3 as I obvs don't eat fish and don't really eat anything that contains it 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

I wonder how long the chia seeds will last til I just give up.

SmileyT · 20/07/2020 16:12

@LittleRa ooh not long to wait until your first appt 🥳

@Bl0ndi3 well at least it's booked for you, I'm sure the actual appt will be more enjoyable maybe it was just administrators on the phone. Also have you considered omega 3 supplements? x

@Cocoblue22 @Bl0ndi3 I've had 3 Jaffa cakes all day because work has been so busy so I'm sure I'll be ravenous when I get home, need to make sure I get OH to have something healthy ready or I'll be diving into the crisps 😂 my Fitbit said I had 5hrs sleep last night so I'm definitely feeling it 🙈

@zippityzip congratulations 🥳 how many dpo are you? x

Bl0ndi3 · 20/07/2020 16:19

@SmileyT 3 Jaffa cakes 😂 I've got curry for my tea tonight already starving for it after a bowl of soup and monster munch for lunch haha

I generally avoid the omega 3 supplements as they're not often vegetarian and never really looked for vegetarian or vegan versions but I can have a look as I also don't like avocado which is a good source of it. I did buy some smashed avocado to try and toast just to see if I can manage it haha

SmileyT · 20/07/2020 16:57

@Bl0ndi3 I only suggested this as there was a girl on a ttc thread a while ago who was veggie and she said her fertility doctor recommended veggie omega 3, but yeah I can imagine they aren't as easy to find 🙈 I wish I could eat soup, such a nice low cal meal but I just get bored too easily, I should try making my own 🤔 I don't eat Avo either, I'm such a fussy eater I tend to eat chicken, rice and veg for every meal then I want to snack on sweets and biscuits around that 😂

Bl0ndi3 · 20/07/2020 17:23

@SmileyT they do exist I've just never looked hard enough haha!

I always make my own tbh just easier with slimming world and I just whack a load of veg in a pan haha I added some creme fraiche the low fat version today cause it felt boring.

I had my wisdom tooth out a little while back and ate soup for every meal - That was soooo BORING as it was the same vegetable soup each time cause I batch cooked loads haha but I lost 5.25 lbs that week haha so it was worth it

LittleRa · 20/07/2020 17:26

@Bl0ndi3 I’m also a veggie, I’ve been one most of my life including my last pregnancy with my DD who’s now 6yo. I’m taking the pregnacare which is vegetarian. Also trying to be healthy, I’m a size 14 too and could probably do with dropping a few pounds but then one part of me thinks oh well why bother now, might as well wait and address that after baby is born 🙈 probably not the best attitude. I managed to get down to a size 8 a couple of years after having my DD but it has crept back on so I’d like to do that again after this baby then keep it off as this one will be my last! My DP is currently making me a ratatouille bake with crusty bread 🤤
Here’s some veggie pregnancy info

Bl0ndi3 · 20/07/2020 17:49

@LittleRa ahh hello fellow veggie haha. Thank you so much for that!

I am a size 14 too 😔 I've managed to lose nearly 2 stone before getting pregnant - though I didn't drop a bloody dress size cause apparently I carry and lose all my weight evenly (not the worse thing I guess) but it's not as much as I'd like but just going to manage my weight as best I can in pregnancy!

I've got a slimming world curry cooking and some chips (syn free ones tho!) and rice for my tea (double carbs all the way) can't wait to devour it haha

Cocoblue22 · 20/07/2020 20:16

@SmileyT three Jaffa cakes and 5 hours sleep is not nearly enough! You need to sleep or at least rest more and deffo find time to eat now you're growing a tiny Human X

@zippityzip welcome 👋🏻 and congratulations again on BFP 🎉 x

@LittleRa your dinner sounds nice. I feel the same about my weight I'm a stone heavier than I like atm but now I don't think is the right time to diet as such so I'm just going to try and make healthy choices when I can but if I want something I'm not going to deprive myself. Had a lovely sweet chilli beef noodle stir fry for tea tonight! X

My back has been really aching anyone else noticed this? I don't remember this with DS but googled and it says it's normal x

SmileyT · 20/07/2020 21:12

@Bl0ndi3 DP is currently in Tesco getting ingredients for vegetable soup, you've inspired me to get him to do a tasty one (he loves cooking and isn't back at work until Thursday so it'll give him something to do) 🥰

@Cocoblue22 I got into bed really early last night but just couldn't sleep but back in bed now to rectify that... and blocked out some time in my diary to actually have lunch tomorrow. Definitely want to do the best by this little bean so need to take more time to focus on myself. I had some back pain last week but as with all my symptoms they seem to come and go quite quickly apart from the exhaustion that stays with me always 😂 on that note I'm going to sleep 😴

OP posts:
Bl0ndi3 · 20/07/2020 21:19

@SmileyT I don't want to distract you from going to sleep haha but glad I have inspired you and hope it turns out good and if it does I want the recipe hahaha x

Sleep well!!! X

LittleRa · 20/07/2020 21:29

My tea was lovely but I am getting sooo bloated and uncomfortable after eating! Generally through the day I’m ok and then after eating a meal I feel about 10 feet wide, I’m wearing leggings right now and I feel like they’re cutting into my belly 😩

LittleRa · 20/07/2020 21:31

Sorry if personal but following the nature of discussions in our TTC thread... (!) has anyone been DTD since getting their BFPs? Feeling more horny/less horny? Worried about how it could affect the embryo? Too tired/bloated?

mrsmummy1111 · 20/07/2020 21:45

Thanks @Bl0ndi3 for telling me about this thread.
Hi everyone I hope you don’t mind me joining Grin
I’m 10DPO and tested today and shockingly got this. It almost feels too good to be true!

Hi ladies, can i join? I had my bfp yesterday 😊😊 xx

Bl0ndi3 · 20/07/2020 21:48

Welcome line buddies @Kliz92 @mrsmummy1111 🥰🥰🥰

SmileyT · 21/07/2020 06:14

@LittleRa haha nothing too personal, I actually asked this on another thread a few days ago 😂 I'm still having sex because I love it and I find it a great stress relief, I was worried after my MC before that it might affect things but actually you can't dislodge a healthy bean with a bang 🤷🏾‍♀️ I guess it's all down to personal preference some people have been advised by Drs to avoid because of previous complications and some just don't like having sex. I'm definitely not having as much as I was during fertile period and I'm knackered a lot but when I want it I'm having it. What are you thinking? xx

zippityzip · 21/07/2020 06:14

Thank you for the congrats!!

@LittleRa we haven't DTD since the weekend. I got my BFP yesterday. But DH injured himself (yes, that kind of injury) so it's been off the table for a few days anyway, but now I feel too crampy and nervous! Sex is safe though if you're in the mood!

zippityzip · 21/07/2020 06:16

Yesterday is the top one. This morning is bottom. I was hoping it would be darker by now!
