Okay I'm still super nervous but time to take the plunge and started a Grad bus for the recent BFPs from the main thread. According to NHS calculator I'm due 18th March and it's #1 for me 😬

Thank you all, you're right I need to just chill and give things time. Thanks for keeping my sane! @SmileyT I did try to sleep with my Fitbit on but it just felt uncomfortable 😆 I mostly just use it for step counting and to check the time.

Noble89 · 10/08/2020 12:09

Ladies I had to show you! Bubs first outfit bought in celebration of the first time I've every gotten good news in a scan room. I can't stop looking at it finally believing it's looking like I'll have a little person to put in it in 7 months 😍

@Amy00 great news! 😀

@2020mission easier said than done but I wouldn't stress it - I did the same as you with strip tests and panicked and it did me no good. I felt really panicky so told parents yesterday - just wanted to do one of the nice bits to remind myself this isn't all fear and worry, it's supposed to be nice. Felt much better after doing so

@Mococo1 @Skip86 oh god I hope it isn't twins! No family history of them. I'm only 5ft1, I'm not sure I could stand upright carrying twins 😅

So excited for you both for tomorrow @Mococo1 @zippityzip

Also would bloody love extra time off! That would be nice - go back for 2 weeks then a year off

samilicious · 10/08/2020 12:11

@Noble89 that is gorgeous! 🥰

zippityzip · 10/08/2020 12:47

@Noble89 that's so beautiful!!

zippityzip · 10/08/2020 12:49

Just had an invite for a long overdue smear test. Can we have these done whilst pregnant?

I'm hoping to negotiate a couple months WFH at the end of my Mat leave so I can still be with the baby, but earn some money. Things are might tighter this time around since we got the huge mortgage.

Ltay2 · 10/08/2020 12:49

@SmileyT When you said your RHR dropped at around 6w was this a steady drop over a few days or a big drop? My RHR has gone down to 64bpm today. It's been steady at 65-66 since I got my BFP. I'm only 5+1 today so don't know if this is just coincidence and part of normal fluctuation or the start of a drop. Either way trying not to panic as it's only 1bpm so nothing really, but I panic at everything these days 🙈

Ltay2 · 10/08/2020 12:52

@zippityzip As far as I know it's not recommended to have a smear test whilst pregnant unless there's some increased risk that needs checking out sooner. I would call the GP just to be sure of what they recommend!

Skip86 · 10/08/2020 12:56

Ooh @Mococo1 and @zippityzip I'm having my first scan tomorrow too 😍 we can compare notes.

@2020mission as all the others have said, lines progress day different rates for different women so please try not to stress x

Just had a massive salad with chicken and roast sweet pot for dinner and feeling like a pregnancy health guru 🙏🏼 now to get me a fat bowl of ice cream to balance things out.

SmileyT · 10/08/2020 13:40

@zippityzip I think it's a no for the smear in general as pregnancy can make it hard for them to get clear results or something. Ooh would be so good if you could do a couple months at the end of Mat leave working from home, best of both worlds x

@Ltay2 I've attached my 3month chart the 8th July is when I got my BFP and it was higher than normal for a bit and then kinda slopped off now x

@Noble89 ahh that's so cute, I'm still waiting for that belief to kick in that I'm actually going to have a baby x

@mrsmummy1111 you are so right, before my MC I did one test and referred myself across didn't really google anything it use MN or anything, there are so many sad stories on here it almost makes you believe the odds are worse than they are. We are a positive group though and will just keep smiling until we have a reason to stop.

@Skip86 I was actually going to go and get a McDs for the 3rd day in a row 😬 but I'm going to opt for something a little healthier 😇 can't wait to see your scan pic tomorrow (if you are happy to share) you're far enough along it will be a proper person in there x

@Skip86 yay good luck too! What time is yours? Mine isn't until 6.30pm 😭

zippityzip · 10/08/2020 13:50

@Ltay2 @SmileyT Thanks for the smear advice I'll just ring them and say I'll have to book after the baby. Gotta love being a woman.

Also had a letter today for the date of my 12 week scan! That's exciting.

Ltay2 · 10/08/2020 14:03

@SmileyT Ah that's reassuring. Guess it just goes to show there's no 'right' pattern with RHR really. I'm going to give it another week and see how I feel, if I'm still stressing over it I'll take the Fitbit off for a while.

Skip86 · 10/08/2020 14:05

@zippityzip mine's at 10.30am, but that's like 3am your time!

@SmileyT omg I wish I had Mickey D's instead of my salad 😂

@mrsmummy1111 yes also agree 100% on the tests. I've had a few bfp's in my time and never once did more than one test! But now that I'm on MN and have read all the stories I have done perhaps 5 this time round 🙈

Night girls! You will all wake up tomorrow to my scan pic 🥰 (if it all goes ok 🤞🏼) x

Mococo1 · 10/08/2020 14:27

@zippityzip @Skip86 mines at 11am! Took the earliest appt EPU would give me and I'm just praying it's good news!

Don't think I will be able to sleep tonight as I've never made it to a scan where HB is visible so here's to good news 🤞🏽

@Skip86 so exciting for us all to wake up to your scan pic! Fingers and toes crossed for you and @zippityzip! How far along are you now?

I feel like I'm really putting on weight 😭😭

zippityzip · 10/08/2020 14:51

@Mococo1 I HAVE PUT ON 6lbs (on top of my lockdown stone). I'm stepping away from the scales and terminally wearing baggy clothing until further notice. Got some great bargains on maternity wear on eBay though.

My scan isn't until 6.30pm!!!! I'll be 7+2 tomorrow.

Sending loads of luck and baby dust your way @Mococo1 it's gonna be great news for you!!!!!

@Skip86 Have a good sleep! Very excited to see your little bean when we get up!

Mococo1 · 10/08/2020 15:10

@zippityzip I think il be 7+3 however that can change once I'm in there

We got married in at the end of 2018 and since then I've gained a stone and a half! I'm only 5ft tho so means I've gone up 2/3 dress sizes, my bra back size had gone up by two sizes and I'm up a cup so I'm struggling with the idea of getting bigger and it doesnt help that I struggle to lose even a pound a week whilst eating really healthily😭 not sure how I can prevent too much weight gain!

Ltay2 · 10/08/2020 15:18

@Mococo1 I am 5ft too and really struggle to lose weight. I was eating so healthily before my BFP, following weight watchers and really sticking to it and lost 2lb for the first couple of weeks then it slowed to something like 0.7lb per week after that. I suit being a size 10 really but I'm now size 14 and dreading the weight I'm going to put on whilst pregnant and how to safely lose it afterwards when I don't even have the energy/motivation to get into an exercise routine now, and that's before adding in having a baby to take care of 😩

2020mission · 10/08/2020 15:25

Are we all short? 😂 I'm only 5'1"

zippityzip · 10/08/2020 15:40

@Mococo1 We are ovulation twins!

My plan re the weight is to breastfeed and exercise 😂. Whether or not that'll happen is a different story.

zippityzip · 10/08/2020 15:48

@2020mission I'm 5"7!

2020mission · 10/08/2020 16:05

@zippityzip I'm jealous... you can reach the top shelves 😆

blodyn91 · 10/08/2020 16:07

I'm 5"6. Not sure if I'll cope well with weight gain 😳 Just got to enjoy it though. I have 8 weeks from my due date to fit in my small size 10, tight wedding dress....its not going to happen if my boobs get any bigger 😆! Going to try and keep up my exercising, reduce the high intensity stuff, so make sure heart rate doesn't go above 160-165.
I can't remember why I joined MN, but so glad I did as I had zero clue about OPKs and bbt. I've taken 1 frer and 2 IC, OH wants me to test every day 🙈 Im like NO
Definitely having mild hangover symptoms, walking helps though.
All the best to everyones scans tomorrow! Very exciting

blodyn91 · 10/08/2020 16:08

Oh also forgot, called the hospital and they are sending a letter out within the next 10days about first appointment. No idea if that will be in person or by phone.

Noble89 · 10/08/2020 16:14

Thanks ladies. Honestly it felt so nice to buy something and make it official. I won't be buying anything else until after the 12 week scan and most stuff will wait until after the gender scan but it just felt right to mark the occasion as we've never gotten this far before 😊.

@SmileyT when is your next scan? Mines a week on Sunday then should only be about 3 weeks until my 12 week scan after that so it's being broken up nicely!

Good luck for your scans @Skip86 @zippityzip and @Mococo1 we'll all be waiting for photo's 😊

I'm just shy of 5'8 and honestly wish I was a couple of inches shorter as my OH is just over 5'9
