Okay I'm still super nervous but time to take the plunge and started a Grad bus for the recent BFPs from the main thread. According to NHS calculator I'm due 18th March and it's #1 for me 😬

@blodyn91 😂😂 pregnancy virginity 😂 I just lost mine earlier - was so so good as we hadn't done it for over a week. Was getting a bit desperate!! No spotting to report so far! @2020mission every time I go to the loo regardless I need to have a quick check like .... is there any bleeding... nope great!

@Noble89 love the scan photo, so happy everything is looking as it should. What outfit did you buy?? I can't wait to buy all of the things!! x

@Ltay2 aww it's an emotional time! I've definitely cried at getting the bloody car parked before and didn't have pregnancy as an excuse 😂

@samilicious ooo congrats on the 3+ that means no more tests right?! I'm going to do a digi tomorrow at what I think is 5+1 and expecting 2-3 (or even 3+)!

Girls I am exhausted and need to go to bed.

Noble89 · 09/08/2020 21:09

@2020mission internal was absolutely fine! It's basically just a thin stick with a condom on 😂. Gives much clearer pictures early though so glad I did it and apparently my next one in 2 weeks will also be internal so hoping for another clear pic. It's not at all painful, and less uncomfortable than a smear test in my opinion.

Jumping in on the sex convo, OH and I have had less sex than usual. Maybe every 4-5 days or so I'd say since finding out. I spotted after sex with my molar so no spotting after sex with this pregnancy has been oddly reassuring early on!

Cocoblue22 · 09/08/2020 21:23

@Noble89 awww how lovely cute little bean! Congratulations 🎉 x

@SmileyT apparently the guidelines are still for pregnant women to stop work at 28weeks currently that's what my midwife said to me on Thursday. Could all change by then though x

@blodyn91 it's exactly like a hangover I've felt hungover for like 5 weeks now 🤢 x

samilicious · 09/08/2020 21:35

@2020mission thanks for testing the (sticky) water for us 😂 glad was all ok after

@blodyn91 pregnancy virginity 😂😂😂 love this

I felt hungover last time about 6 weeks, this time just feel drunk sometimes

@Ltay2 parking requires too much concentration we just don't have at the moment - the heat doesn't help either!

@SmileyT yeah hope so. Must be that, can't see what else it could be 🤞🏻 yeah I'm sure time will fly for us all soon 😊

@Noble89 love love love the scan pic! 💕 cute that you celebrated too 🥰

@Amy00 thank you! I probably should stop now, I know I'll probably end up testing again if I panic at some point about stuff going wrong 😅
Let us know how your test goes x

Mococo1 · 09/08/2020 23:46

@SmileyT it's on Tuesday less than 48hours before I know ☹️

@zippityzip we haven't had too much sex since finding out but when we have it's been mind blowing for me - my orgasms have become 100x intenser and I'm sensitive to every little movement down there so I think it is bloodflow!

@Noble89 so glad your scan went well and you are having another in two weeks for reassurance- I hope you can relax a little bit now

@samilicious you may have ovulated earlier or had very early implantation? OR dare I say it..more than one in there? Xxx

Skip86 · 10/08/2020 05:22

We've had sex and I did 'spot' a bit after! But very pale pink CM, not really blood. I was a bit worried before I googled and found it was normal (didn't happen in previous pregnancies 🤷🏼‍♀️)

@Mococo1 @samilicious more than one in there..?! 😱🙈

@Ltay2 I totally get the parking situation - when I was preg with my first I had a complete meltdown at about 7 weeks at an overcooked piece of toast. 5 years later we still refer to 'The Toast Incident' 😂

@Noble89 omg gorge scan 😍

zippityzip · 10/08/2020 06:13

Sorry just catching up!

@Noble89 Your scan looks great. Bet it was so lovely to see. Did you have to drink a lot of water beforehand?

@Ltay2 Late on in my last pregnancy I cried because the milk wasn't ice cold. My DH had made a coffee and left it on the side for half an hour and that was enough for me to lose the plot for a good 12 hours.

@Mococo1 I'm so glad it's not just me!! I was wondering what on earth had happened lol. DH is pleased - although it is hit and miss whether or not I'll feel too sick/tired 😂

@Mococo1 my scan is tomorrow too! What time is yours?

@blodyn91 It's like a three month hangover. It's exhausting feeling shit all the time. And I'm already achey as hell.

2020mission · 10/08/2020 08:47

I just used another FRER this morning, 3 days after previous FRER, and both FMU and I think I have quite worrying progression. Can anyone else cast an eye over and honestly let me know what you think? I think I need to prepare for another chemical as it should be darker after 3 days, right? 😔 they look the same to me...

SmileyT · 10/08/2020 08:50

@Noble89 ahh that's good they've booked you in for a follow up scan aswell 🥰 the more I read about Molars the more I find it crazy that they don't check everyone as you're just as likely to have it if you've never had it before which is a bit scary now I know what it is, also if you didn't have surgery you may have never known 😩

@blodyn91 yep I feel low-key hungover all the time, not like I went on a massive bender but just like I had a few too many wines with dinner and I'm feeling a bit off, it's exhausting 😂

@Amy00 I definitely try and get into bed by 8.30 latest during the week, I have to get up at 6ish and feel like I need so much sleep now 🙈

@Cocoblue22 did the midwife give you any docs on the 28weeks thing? I can't find anything on the government or nhs website about stopping work at 28weeks or any restrictions for pregnant people, was she saying stopping work completely? Or just only working from home? I don't want to take my maternity before 38weeks but if I can pull the pregnancy card and get out of work fully paid for the last 10weeks that would be the dream 🙌🏾 there is a girl at work who is 16weeks and they haven't mentioned anything to her about not coming into the office so it would be good info to have x

@Mococo1 @zippityzip tomorrow you both get to see your little beans how exciting ☺️

Hope everyone has a lovely day ❤️

@2020mission is the bottom one today's test? x

OP posts:
2020mission · 10/08/2020 08:53

@SmileyT yeah, sorry should have said. I also just realised the photo isn't the clearest, which doesn't help!

Cocoblue22 · 10/08/2020 09:02

@SmileyT no she didn't give and documents just said that's the current advice but it would likely change before I got to that point so who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm sure they will give us the up to date info when it's time. I'm guessing working from home is probably an option too but we will see. I was planning on taking my mat leave from about 36 weeks I was exhausted by 34 weeks last time x

zippityzip · 10/08/2020 09:03

@2020mission The bottom one is definitely darker. Did you use FMU?
I've been panicking about lines the whole time - mine were slow too but I'm still going!

2020mission · 10/08/2020 09:06

@zippityzip yeah I always use FMU although I did have to pee at around 3am during the night so it was probably 3-4 hours later for this mornings test. The urine did look dark though as I peed into a cup for the test to always check it doesn't look diluted.

I'm just trying to prepare myself for the worst now as it seems strange for barely any change after 3 full days. I suppose I'm not out until the line is fading and I'm bleeding though. 🤞

zippityzip · 10/08/2020 09:10

@2020mission I'm staying positive for you! The second test is definitely darker. How many weeks are you?

2020mission · 10/08/2020 09:14

@zippityzip 4 weeks since my last period exactly, but my periods average at 26-27 days so I'm now a couple of days late. I'll just need to keep positive and hold off for another 2 days before the next test. I was up for a pee during the night and my boobs still hurt so the only symptoms I've been having are still here.

zippityzip · 10/08/2020 09:16

@2020mission It's stressful as hell and time stands still - I know FRERs are the best, but I got a ton of Poundland cheapies and did one every day and lined them up. The progression on them is slow, but you can see it without spending a fortune.
Plus when you get a strong line on them you know you're doing good.
Your FRER is still stronger than mine was, and I took it AFTER my period was due.

blodyn91 · 10/08/2020 09:56

@2020mission I think the bottom one looks darker. Please don't stress yourself out! Do you monitor HR or bbt? xx

2020mission · 10/08/2020 10:11

@blodyn91 I don't track BBT but I have a Fitbit so can track my heart rate, although I don't wear it in bed so it's probably not that accurate. It's showing as up a couple of bpm over the last week

July Bus Graduates ❤️
SmileyT · 10/08/2020 10:13

@2020mission yep definitely looks darker to me, I think everyone has different progression, I know it's hard but I'd try not to worry unless it actually gets lighter. In other news it has completely blown my mind you don't wear your Fitbit in bed 🤯

@Cocoblue22 yeah you're right it's so far off things will likely change so will check later down the line. My mat leave is rubbish and with my job I'll take on no new clients in the last month so will be pretty chilled so want to work up until I drop 😂

OP posts:
Amy00 · 10/08/2020 11:14

@2020mission you've got so many good signs with a high RHR and sore boobs and most importantly no period! I think these all outweigh the test being only slightly darker. I read that hcg levels naturally fluctuate in a normal pregnancy which is why symptoms come and go and presumably why a test might not look obviously darker.

I feel for you though, it's such a rollercoaster time. I had a CP last year and my test didn't get darker at 17dpo, I also got a dramatic drop in temperature and 3 days later started bleeding. It is heartbreaking but I felt mentally prepared as the tests didn't look promising coupled with the temp drop.

I think from what you've said though you are in with a very good chance with everything being fine. Test again in a couple of days and you'll know for sure. ❤️

mrsmummy1111 · 10/08/2020 11:20

Honestly @2020mission don't overthink it. Your period is late, you've taken a test, it's clearly positive - so roll with it, you're pregnant. Your body is giving you absolutely no reason to think otherwise so try not to convince yourself of anything sinister when realistically you don't have any reason to. Most people take 1/2 tests, they're positive and that's that. With my son I took one test! It was positive and I booked a midwife appt. I wasn't on MN back then so bad no idea about CP or line progression or anything of that nature, I would only have considered anything was wrong if I had pains or was bleeding. Line progression isn't an accurate science so pls don't read too much into it. Trust your body and what it's telling you, put the sticks down!

This forum is wonderful for SO many things, but the conception forum is a tough one because you hear so many stories from people who have had a really hard time with MCs and CPs etc, when the reality is - many people use this forum for help when something is going wrong, not when things are going right.

Stay positive, we're all here rooting for you!

Amy00 · 10/08/2020 11:21

@Cocoblue22 that would be amazing to stop work at 28 weeks!!! I don't think I could get away with that as I'm working from home all the time though 🧐 they are talking about getting us back in the office in September but I'll probably try to resist it as I'll have to go on public transport and given I can do my job just fine at home, it is probably sensible to stay here. I do miss the office life to some extent though!

@blodyn91 I've felt hungover as well but more tired and headachy, not really much nausea yet still!

@samilicious I got 2-3 weeks on the digital this morning at 5+1 🙂

Noble89 · 10/08/2020 11:22

@zippityzip no you don't need a full bladder for an internal so they made me go for a wee just before we started.

@2020mission the latest one definitely looks a bit darker to me. Keep in mind HCG rises at different levels in different people too. As long as you're getting positives you're all good 😊

@SmileyT I know! It baffles me that I'd never even heard of it when it happened to me. And they explained it to me by saying it's just rotten luck. Literally just like getting struck by lightning so it can happen to anyone. They didn't even suspect molar from my 12 week scan, just said I'd had a MMC. Thankfully I opted for a D&C rather than tablets to bring on the miscarriage as it was during the D&C the surgeon noticed the placental tissue didn't look right and sent it off to pathology.

Amy00 · 10/08/2020 11:25

@mrsmummy1111 that is such good advice and so true people often use these forums for when things go wrong.

@2020mission doctors advise against using the tests to see line progression as it can cause unnecessary stress. Please take @mrsmummy1111s advice and stay positive! X
