Okay I'm still super nervous but time to take the plunge and started a Grad bus for the recent BFPs from the main thread. According to NHS calculator I'm due 18th March and it's #1 for me 😬

@Bl0ndi3 Aww glad you are feeling a bit more positive today! Enjoy the drink! I agree, it's so strange (but lovely) how supportive we all are if each other even though in most cases we don't even know each other's name!

So I told my mum today, it was really nice she kind of already had a feeling as she knew we would be trying at some point this year and she sees me 5 days a week - 'mothers intuition' she said. She's really excited although, like me, understands that it's really early so trying not to get ahead of herself. I feel so much relief just telling her and having her to share my worries with. OH is amazing but being a man he doesn't understand as much when I'm saying I'm worrying about every tiny little detail/twinge, he's just caught up in being excited which I don't want to spoil for him. My mums told me to stop googling so much as it only is worrying me and just try and enjoy this time before the first scan so will try to take that advice on board 🙈

Hi all, finally feel brave enough to comment in the pregnancy thread 😬 although I concieved in July but tested in August 🤔 so not sure if I should be in a different thread.
Got back from holiday today so finally was able to pee on a frer! IC are what I took on holiday with me just incase.
🤞 I'll now have a 8 week old baby at our wedding. Hello hectic 2021!

I haven't read through the thread yet. But was wondering, I was going to call the GP on Monday, do you just tell the receptionist you think you are pregnant or do you ask the doctor to call you back? 🙈
Have many of you told family already? We are thinking of waiting one more week. But need to let my bridesmaid s know as due date in hen do weekend (that will need to be moved-3rd time lucky)

@blodyn91 Aww yay glad to have you join us! Your wedding will be so cute with your baby 💕 but yes definitely hectic! I didn't need to call my GP as did a self referral but I would probably just tell the receptionist unless you feel uncomfortable with that, I think you would be justified in asking for the GP or nurse to call you back if you'd prefer. I told my mum today but we aren't telling any other family or anyone at all now until 9 weeks when we will tell OH's parents and his boss.

blodyn91 · 07/08/2020 19:52

@Ltay2 been with my parents for the past three days and was with my sister today, found it so hard. So I'll definitely cave. OH want to tell his mum. Think we will ask them to keep it quiet, but can't always trust them either 🤣

Ltay2 · 07/08/2020 20:23

@blodyn91 I've found it so weird the past week just me and OH knowing! Keep randomly forgetting myself then suddenly remembering and getting butterflies 🙈 definitely not telling my dad until after the 12 week scan as I do not trust him at all to keep it a secret!!

2020mission · 07/08/2020 21:30

I'm sneaking in here from the conception board bus... I'm not due until August (if my recent BFP sticks fingers crossed) so feels wrong to join a July bus but I also wondered when you all think is best to call the local maternity unit to book in? I feel like I should wait until 6 weeks in case I'm having another chemical.

@blodyn91 those are good lines there! How many DPO are you? I think I'm about 13 DPO but mines aren't that strong yet. I've attached mines from this morning.

blodyn91 · 07/08/2020 22:25

@2020mission my two apps are in disagreement. If I go with femometr the frer is 16dpo, the IC 14 & 15. If I go with FF frer is 13 dpo, IC 11 & 12. I took bbt as well. It was a weird cycle 🙈 but worked. Used to think FF was right, now thinking femometr 🤣 (but I got a BFN last sat, at what would be 10dpo if going by femometr)

samilicious · 08/08/2020 06:08

@blodyn91 heeey 👋🏻 welcome, congratulations!
I was the same - app says I conceived 24th July but tested 3rd August so we can be misfits together 😂

I just called the GP and told the receptionist. She told me that I had to call the mini-hospital down the road where people go for scans/the midwives work from. I'm only just 4+1 but thought I'd ring in case there's a COVID waiting list/backlog or something. I had a MC at 6 so I wanted to wait a bit ideally but was scared I'd be late on the waiting list at that point, with first midwife appt at 8 weeks with bloods etc. Plus if it doesn't happen this time, it's just a phone call to cancel. Took 10 seconds to cancel last time, even though it was sad

Also just told two close mates this time for support reasons if it does go tits up 😁 got a private scan at 6+5 so 🤞🏻 all is well and we'll tell parents then

samilicious · 08/08/2020 06:15

Cheers 🥂 @Bl0ndi3

So glad that you're feeling physically better and all that sounds very positive - I'm sure it will be no time at all until you're back in business ❤️

Cocoblue22 · 08/08/2020 07:33

@Bl0ndi3 I am so so sad to read your news 💔 look after yourself and be kind to yourself and when you are ready to try again we will all be here waiting for you. I'm so sorry this happened to you xx

Amy00 · 08/08/2020 07:41

Welcome @blodyn91 and @2020mission 😊

How is everyone doing this morning? It is SO hot here I am melting just laying in bed!!

We are off to OH parents today to tell them.. eek! Excited and nervous about it, not sure why I'm nervous except it is still so early. Even though we've already told my family!

I had good news yesterday - we finally exchanged on our house!! Been waiting since Feb! Can't really complain about the delay given the stamp duty holiday now 🥳
Hoping to complete 18 Aug, then need to start the big renovation project!!

@blodyn91 when do you hear about your barn??

I actually had double good news yesterday as I also found out I've got a new job!! Same company but will be quite a big promotion!! Fab timing for me for maternity pay 😂 not so great timing for them - in the back of my mind as they were talking to me, I was thinking eek I'll have to tell you in a couple months I'm planning to be off for a year and you'll have to recruit all over again 🙈 still they are a big company, can't feel bad about these things!

Hope everyone is ready for a super nice weekend x

Cocoblue22 · 08/08/2020 07:48

@blodyn91 @2020mission welcome and congratulations on your BFPs 🎉 of course this is the right bus you're only a few weeks behind some of us so it really doesn't matter!! And I guess on technicalities I conceived in June haha I really don't think it matters too much! X

@Amy00 what a day for you! Congrats on house and promotion 🎉 how exciting! Don't feel bad about work it's just part of life and you deserve the promotion just ace it until you go on mat leave and pick it up again when you return! X

zippityzip · 08/08/2020 07:57

@Amy00 Fab news about your home, job and baby on the way! This is the kind of positivity we need after months of shite!

Welcome @blodyn91 and @2020mission we are ALL in the early nervous stages questioning every and line and symptom still!! When are your due dates?

@Ltay2 Bet it's lovely that your mum knows now and you have someone else to share the news with!

Ltay2 · 08/08/2020 08:02

@zippityzip Yes it is so nice to have her know now!

I feel sooo tired today, only just woke up from what I thought was a good sleep but eyes are already stinging. Think the heat isn't helping! I also felt a bit sick when I woke up but I've had a cup of tea now and feel better, maybe I'm just hungry/dehydrated.

Hopefully going to get the cleaning of the house out of the way quickly then I can relax for the rest of the day.

zippityzip · 08/08/2020 08:15

@Ltay2 I did all the cleaning yesterday and regretted it last night. Achey, tired, hot. Today I promised the little ones I would take them out on their bikes 😭

Was hoping for a lay in as DH is at work but the next door neighbours prodigal son has returned after moving out so they've been shouting at each other since 6am. Not arguing, it's just the volume at which they speak. Plus, he had a joint last night in the garden which meant my room stunk of it as I had the windows open. I hope he leaves again soon!

My whole family know now - and in laws. So that's done and out of the way. My eldest is still convinced it's twins. My scan is on tuesday so I'm just dying to know that everything is ok.

Anyone else been very aware of their heartbeat in recent weeks?? Sometimes it goes like the clappers when I'm just sitting down.

Ltay2 · 08/08/2020 08:20

@zippityzip Oh that's horrible for you, especially the stink 🤢 hope he goes again soon! I am not looking forward to the cleaning but it'll be satisfying once it's done so just got to remember that 🤣 yes my heart rate has been so high! Even just walking around the house/office at normal pace my heart rate can be in fat burn zone when normally it's no where near! I've also been sooo warm even before the heat started.

blodyn91 · 08/08/2020 08:30

@zippityzip due date is 13-16 of April 😂 Im 30 on April the 14th next year so might be a birthday baby present! Also annoying about next door!
@Amy00 still waiting to hear back about the barn 😣 basically the farm is getting sold in 6 lots. So they won't accept our offer on one lot until most/all lots have offers on the. Someone else I think has put an offer in a number of lots so will be prioritised over us. So still looking incase something else comes up. What kind of project is yours? so exciting! Ive already had free tiles samples delivered 🙈🙈
Got a bike race this afternoon, only a 10mile local one. First race with my poppy seed!

blodyn91 · 08/08/2020 08:32

@ltay2 Just checked my rhr, ahh so high! Its 10 beats higher than usual now

2020mission · 08/08/2020 08:36

@Amy00 what a good time for you with a baby, new house and job promotion 🙌

@zippityzip my due date is 20th April. Very close to my husbands birthday... the baby will be his main present next year 😆

Did you all hold off long before telling parents? I wanted to wait until at least 6 weeks but my dads birthday is next Friday (I'll be just under 5 weeks) and I'll have to tell them then as they'll know the minute they see I'm not drinking when out for his birthday meal. They have no idea we have been trying and it will be their first grand child so they're in for a surprise!

zippityzip · 08/08/2020 08:52

@2020mission I had two family events where I would have normally got Merry but didn't drink. I said that I had given up for a bit after putting on too much weight in lockdown. No one questioned it actually!

Although I caved and told them all at 6 weeks after I had good progression on my tests. I figured if the worst happened then I would want them to know anyway to support me!

Ltay2 · 08/08/2020 09:06

@blodyn91 My RHR usually at around AF time would be 56-58 but since around 12DPO to now it's been up at 65-66bpm and only fluctuates that 1bpm! No wonder my heart feels like it's going so fast sometimes if even my resting HR is so much higher 😂

zippityzip · 08/08/2020 10:02

Have no idea why I'm still doing these but this is probably the best it's gonna get 😂

July Bus Graduates ❤️
Ltay2 · 08/08/2020 10:17

@zippityzip Yeah don't think you will get much of a stronger line than that 😂 I'm waiting on my CB tests today so I'll be joining you with the random testing later!

blodyn91 · 08/08/2020 11:04

Ive bought a clear blue week test, not sure when to use it, maybe mid week. @2020mission Im going to tell mine next weekend at 5 weeks. Basically if anything goes wrong I would need my mums support

2020mission · 08/08/2020 11:38

Yeah I'm thinking there's no harm in telling now too. My main worry was if we lost it, they would be asking every month if I'm pregnant again but I think if that happened I'd just say outright don't ask us as we're having a break and will tell you if it happens again when we're ready.

@blodyn91 I've used a clear blue digital already this morning 😂 it shows 1-2 weeks. I just wanted to see the word 'pregnant'! I think it really sunk in for my husband seeing the word on there too, rather than just looking at lines. It's a pack of 2 so I'm saving the next until a week or so and hopefully will see 3+ then.

@Ltay2 let us know what your CB test shows 👍🏼 hopefully more than the 1-2 I got.
