Okay I'm still super nervous but time to take the plunge and started a Grad bus for the recent BFPs from the main thread. According to NHS calculator I'm due 18th March and it's #1 for me 😬

@Ltay2 good luck with OH, let us know how he takes it ☺️ I didn't go through my GP as they don't do any tests for pregnancy at mine and most of the time it is a 2week wait for an appt and I couldn't be bothered, I think it depends on the trust but with mine it just delays the process x

@Lettie365 ooh good they did all that at the GPs, mine don't even have urine tests 😂 I'm getting weighed on Saturday, if their scales make me heavier than mine I'll be gutted, you've already smashed your weight loss anyway you should be proud of what you've achieved 👌🏾

@LittleRa glad DD had a great time and no symptoms sounds ideal, did you find out if OH can come to your dating scan? MW confirmed that mine can't so we've booked one for the 21st August for him to go to ☺️

@mrsmummy1111 I annoyingly mainly feel sick as soon as I take a bite of anything, however much I fancy something as soon as I finish put it in my mouth that handover feeling comes over me 🤢

@SmileyT oh I'm glad there wasn't any bleeding or anything I panicked for you when I saw your post and glad your little bean looks lovely and healthy on the scan. Did you just move the private one forward? Have you booked another one yet? I feel sick...like a constant hangover 🤢 x

@Amy00 The baby gro is super cute. We told our families yesterday and it was well received so that's a nice relief that it's done and out of the way.

@Cocoblue22 I described it to my DH as the never ending hangover and he was like "well you should be used to it then".

@zippityzip your DHs humour sounds similar to mine! He's forgotten how exhausting this first stage is and thinks I'm using it as an excuse 'to have a minute!' Thankfully now our mums know his mum was backing me up all weekend telling him how exhausting it is! X

@SmileyT It was really nice telling OH ☺️ I just said 'I've got a secret' and showed him the test. He even teared up a little bit and he's soooo happy now! Had a conversation and who and when to tell, decided not to tell anyone for a few weeks although will probably have to tell my mum for work purposes in the next week (I work for her). He wants to tell his parents soon too but understands it's early so we will probably look at having a private scan at around 9 weeks and maybe tell them after that so we hopefully have a scan picture to give them!

@Cocoblue22 sucks doesn't it I'm like okay so I'm 6+2 and it's 18 days til my scan..... 5 minutes later okay so I'm still 6+2 and it's still 18 days til my scan 😂😭🥺

@SmileyT thanks lovely will see how I get on next couple weeks I guess tiredness is usually my biggest enemy as if I'm too tired to cook we end up eating something junky and quick because I'm the only one who cooks and cleans etc in this house which normally is fine until I am tired 😑

@zippityzip number 3 for me too! Ages 2 and nearly 5. The footy team is referring to my already having 2 boys I think. @SmileyT thinks having 3 boys would be the dream, I'm not so sure...

I had a bit of bleeding over the weekend (well, more like light pink CM) and was a bit worried. It stopped yesterday and after consulting dr google I actually think it's from aggravated cervix after having sex! We aren't usually overly rampant in the bedroom with 2 kids and crazy lives, but we had had sex 4 times in 5 days!! So I feel a bit better now that I think I know the cause. When I told OH this he just said, well if it has to be in the mouth and arse from now I'm ok with that 😂 um no buddy.

@Cocoblue22 no nothing major I just suddenly had a feeling, which probably sounds ridiculous and moved my private scan forward. I have booked another one for the 21st, I just want to be as certain as I can that it will be good news when I go alone to the dating scan and OH was just like 'if it makes you feel better there is no harm in an extra couple scans' 🙈

@Ltay2 ahh that's so amazing he was so happy. You've probably said before but what do you do for work? My manager is back from annual leave next week and I have my first f2f meeting with her next Friday and I keep changing my mind on whether to tell her so early 😩 and yay to filling out your self-referral, I've got my bloods this weekend x

@Bl0ndi3 yeah I don't have that excuse as my DP makes all my food and always gives me healthy options but then like last night he'll get in from work and I'm like 'let's have McDs' 😂

@Skip86 yeah sex can definitely aggregate your cervix so in general it isn't anything to worry about, but your OHs response did make me laugh 😂 I wish I was busier and this time had passed a bit quicker, you're about 10weeks now aren't you? x

@SmileyT It was so nice! I am part of a management team for a care company so don't actually give care myself but organise the people that do. As I'm desk based it isn't really a risk that I'm pregnant but as it's my mums company and we're such a small team, we may need to look at an additional team member to cover when I go off for maternity which would mean getting them in and training up welllll in advance as our processes can be complicated! Plus I really really want to tell my mum, she is like my best friend. OH is desperate to tell his parents too as they have no grandchildren and will be so excited but I would rather wait and tell them when the risk is smaller so I can enjoy their excitement without worry. OH brother is 10y older than him and has never wanted children so this will be a big moment for them!

@Skip86 How are you feeling about having a third? Now I'm pregnant I'm actually terrified.

@mrsmummy1111 I called and got through this morning and was told "leave it with me". She took all my details but I just didn't feel very hopeful.

I just want a decent hospital! I'm due my first appt soon and don't even have anywhere to go!

@zippityzip Oh really, what was the reason for the refusal?

@Ltay2 I'm "out of borough". Even though I gave birth to my second there. It's all Covid based as they have to limit numbers. Problem is, the other hospital I have an open complaint with PALS due to their catalogue of horrific mistakes. Just a waiting game to see if they take me 🙁

@zippityzip oh bloody hell! Honestly I'm a bit of a bulldozer but truthfully I'd just continue to call (but obviously kiss their ar$es on the phone) until someone gave me an answer. If they refuse, you really need to not be scared to fight your corner. You've got an open complaint with PALS it would be ridiculous to expect you to go back and experience it all again in the exact same place. There has to be space for exceptional circumstances and you need to make them see that this is one of them. Best of luck and keep us updated

@zippityzip Oh that is not good, they definitely shouldn't be expecting you to go back to the hospital you have a complaint with! Is there anyone higher you can appeal to?

@zippityzip if they still haven’t got back to you next week, I would chase them and say it’s stressing you out/giving you anxiety that it’s not been sorted as of yet and the thought of giving birth at the other hospital is playing on your mind

It’s just completely unfair that it’s not sorted as of yet for you and you’re still in limbo, really feel for you ☹️ xx

I think if I'm brushed off again, then I'll have to ramp it up. I've been very nicey nicey so far. I'll give it until Friday and then call again - it really doesn't take two weeks for one person to decide if they will take me or not. The only thing she asked is if I had referred to the other hospital yet or not, and I said no I'm registered nowhere! Hopefully that goes in my favour.

@SmileyT has your DD stayed the same then from the scan? From period mine is 16th March but from scan they said 20th March I guess I'll find out for sure from dating scan x

@Ltay2 yeah totally understand wanting to tell your mum if you are close, my OH told his best friend at the weekend without telling me but I'm still yet to tell anyone 🙈

@zippityzip did you say there was a 3rd hospital slightly further away or do you know anyone in the borough who's address you can use and then just re-refer, they don't check your address when you do the referral to see if it's correct 🤔

@Cocoblue22 I'll be 9w6 on the 21st, EDD 20th March aswell ☺️ so matched up to my LMP. I'm just panicky because of last time and they charge less for a quick scan after 8weeks so I'll just do that x

@Bl0ndi3 hope you are okay lovely, bleeding isn't always bad news a lot of ladies have it in early pregnancy. The NHS can be a bit poop in being quick in early pregnancy so if they won't see you I'd just go and get a private scan for reassurance. Sending you loads of hugs xx
