Okay I'm still super nervous but time to take the plunge and started a Grad bus for the recent BFPs from the main thread. According to NHS calculator I'm due 18th March and it's #1 for me 😬

@Mococo1 awww I'm so sorry you feel like that 😢 you've got to do what feels right for you but I really am crossing everything that all goes well for you and that your little bean is growing nicely in there. Big hugs x

SmileyT · 31/07/2020 09:42

@Mococo1 I totally understand your thoughts on this and after a loss I do think it's harder to stay blindly optimistic especially if like me you haven't had a pg that's progressed you don't know what a healthy pregnancy feels like for you and whether you should have symptoms. I've not told anyone apart from OH and we don't talk too much about it considering I've known nearly a month. Hopefully the next couple weeks fly until your next scan. Hope you have a wonderful Eid and loads of time with family and friends x

@zippityzip ahh, I'd leave it to Monday and then maybe give them a call.

So ladies I randomly had a call from my midwife this morning and she booked in my booking appt for 11.30am today on the phone 😬 was kinda hoping it would be after my scan next week but thought I might aswell get it out of the way x

@SmileyT Ah, all the best hun xx

@zippityzip I think it takes between 5-10 working days to get a reply. After 5 days though, I would email/call again. Hope you hear something soon!

Cocoblue22 · 31/07/2020 14:02

@SmileyT that's exciting about booking appointment! Did they do any bloods or was it all over phone? I told my mum this morning she was made up x

mrsmummy1111 · 31/07/2020 14:27

How are all you ladies doing today?
Something hit me today, and I really hope this doesn't come across as insensitive as I know there's lots of you on here who have had a really hard time TTC, and trust me when I say I know how fortunate we are. My pregnancy with DS was my first pregnancy ever (as far as I know??) and this is my second ever pregnancy, but I was reading another thread earlier and it dawned on me that 1 out of 3 early pregnancies ends in MC. And it really hit me hard as it means realistically, I have a big chance of having one at some point if we plan to have 3/4 kids - which we do.

I hope I don't come across as naive or uneducated, and I have always known what the stats were, and I really truly apologise if this is triggering for any of you, but it's hit me really hard and honestly, it's scared the life out of me. I'm trying to stay positive and trust my body to do what it needs to do, but the reality is harsh and overwhelming.

Not sure what the point of this post was, I guess just to offload. Anyway - I hope you're all having a lovely day, I heard the weather back home is SCORCHING ☀️☀️☀️

Cocoblue22 · 31/07/2020 14:50

@mrsmummy1111 yeah the statistics aren't very nice to read but all we can do is try and look after our little beans the best we can and hope and pray that everything goes well. Try not to worry if you can and just be hopeful all will go well and send positive thoughts to your little bean xx

SmileyT · 31/07/2020 15:52

@Cocoblue22 ahh so nice you told your mum ☺️ you doing anything nice in the sunshine today? No was all over the phone I'm in the office so about an hour from home so wouldn't have been able to do bloods today but I've been booked in for them next Saturday (was Thursday but I moved it to after my private scan) just had my wax and it was definitely hard work but already feel fresher 😂

@FairyLights2 thanks 😊 how are you feeling? x

@mrsmummy1111 yeah just remember that a lot of women never have one miscarriage as it's a bit like rolling a 6 in monopoly sometimes you get 4 in a row but some people will go a whole game without ever seeing one. Also they say a lot of women have early losses without ever knowing as they aren't tracking and just get period a few days late. There are definitely things that play hugely into the odds like maternal age and lifestyle choices and like @Cocoblue22 said all we can do is to be grateful that we are lucky enough to be able to fall pregnant and hope for the best ☺️

Thanks girls @SmileyT @Cocoblue22 - you're both very right. We can be grateful that we can get pregnant and I know I can carry and grow a healthy baby and worrying won't change anything. Just had a bit of a wobble today but feeling better and more positive tonight 🥰

Cocoblue22 · 31/07/2020 20:09

@SmileyT my mum and DH parents are made up it was so nice sharing the news with them and has also made it feel a lot more real! And glad u don't have to hide it from them now! That's good you got booked in for them done next week! Was the wax more painful than normal? We've just enjoyed the sunshine today! X

@mrsmummy1111 glad you're feeling more positive x

zippityzip · 01/08/2020 08:36

How is everyone feeling today?

I was laying on my side on the sofa last night and needed to cough. I felt a reallllllly painful sharp pulling sensation on my left side very low down by my uterus and now I've scared myself.

Still feel sick, tired, sore boobs etc but never had that sensation before.

My mood is a bit low actually. I'm very tired but don't really feel like I'm allowed to be as DH is working overtime all weekend and it's up to me to have the kids. Which is fine, they are my kids, but we had them together.

I just want to tell me family now so I don't have to avoid them but DH is adamant until we've had the scan.

SmileyT · 02/08/2020 13:36

@zippityzip how are you feeling today? Hopefully yesterday wasn't as exhausting as you thought it might be. Remind me when you are having your scan?

I had a bit of a panic yesterday and ended up moving my scan to this morning 🙈 so definitely going to end up getting another one before my 12week now x

OP posts:
Bl0ndi3 · 02/08/2020 18:51

Anybody else so impatient and feel like times going so slow haha I just want to get to my scan and it's still just under 3 weeks away 😭

I don't want to wish away my pregnancy at all as I want to savour it all, but I do want to wish away the nervous anxious section of the pregnancy!

Ltay2 · 02/08/2020 21:27

Hi Ladies, cautiously joining this thread. Got my BFP on Saturday morning and due to test again tomorrow morning to see progression before telling OH tomorrow night. Been feeling fine since I found out although extremely tired and bloated/full feeling. My concern is I've just wiped the tiniest dot of pink, I then decided to check CM/cervix and wiped finger on toilet roll and it was a tiny tinge of pink too. Not blood but like pale pink mixed with CM if that makes sense? Hardly noticeable colour wise really but it's made me worry now as it's the first time so far this cycle I've seen any sign of pink/red. Tomorrow will be my last potential AF due date (apps predicted at Sat-Mon) and will be 15/16DPO. My luteal phase is usually quite steady at 14 days.

zippityzip · 03/08/2020 06:02

@SmileyT Well we told all our family yesterday which was actually lovely. My mum cried, kids were over the moon. MIL rolled her eyes as expected 😂 I said to him that I didn't want to keep it a secret any more and he agreed. I don't have a scan until next Tuesday though!! Still so far away. @SmileyT How was your scan yesterday?!

@Bl0ndi3 I know it feels like it goes on forever. The days are literally so slow. I tried to book a scan for this week but all the local places to me are booked up 🤦🏼‍♀️ so have to wait for next week.

@Ltay2 Hello and welcome. How did your second test go this morning? I think some spotting is normal due to increased blood flow around your pelvic area. Good luck telling your DH.

SmileyT · 03/08/2020 06:20

@Bl0ndi3 yep I totally feel you, I think the first 12 weeks can be so emotionally exhausting especially as a FTM everything is new and it engrained in us to feel like the first 12weeks are danger weeks where we have to keep it all inside so it's no wonder we all want them to pass quickly and without incedent, you are not alone x

@Ltay2 ahh so glad you've joined us lovely, like I've said above I think the first 12weeks are bloody nerve wracking but try and enjoy every second. I don't think slightly pink CM is anything to worry about at this stage it may just be a slight aggravation of your cervix, my OH actually banned me from checking CM/CP because it just made me worry 🙈 how was the line progression? OH is going to be so excited when you tell him x

@zippityzip yeah scan was all good, not that you can see much at 7w, apart from a blob and a flicker 🤣 and I've booked another one at 10w as this one was earlier than I planned. I'm glad that you have been able to share it with your family and kids ☺️ I keep wanting to tell people but I keep chickening out, once I've had the 10w scan maybe I'll start to believe it's actually going to happen x

@SmileyT Ah it's all looking great. Little heart beat in there. Bet it was so lovely.

I did an OPK as I'm out of tests, why I'm still testing I don't know. But it was a raging dye stealer that showed up within seconds (not the usual ten minute wait) so I feel more confident.

Ltay2 · 03/08/2020 08:15

@zippityzip Thank you! My test this morning has reassured me. The test line seemed darker than the Saturday test, although the control line was lighter so don't know if that has an effect on test line dye darkness? Anyway it's reassured me! I've attached a pic, top test is Saturdays and bottom one this morning. No spotting actually made it to underwear and checked cervix this morning and it's really high (can't even reach it) and no more pink CM.

@SmileyT Think I agree, checking cervix etc is only worrying me so I will stop too. That scan is amazing! Makes it seem so much more real to see an actual scan! I'm excited to tell OH tonight now. He kept me up pretty much all night being sick from drinking too much when out with his friend so I feel like he can't complain about me keeping a secret the last 2 days 🤣 he's extremely hungover this morning, I've even come into the office an hour early to escape his moaning, so it will cheer him up later!!

SmileyT · 03/08/2020 08:29

@Ltay2 there is only a certain amount of dye in the tests so as test line gets stronger the control line gets weaker (attached my tests for you to see, ignore the dpo think it should be 11dpo, 14dpo and 20dpo) google dye stealers aswell for some reassurance👌🏾 haha yeah definitely can't complain about not telling him when he is throwing up 😂

@zippityzip yeah was definitely lovely I'm just a bit jaded after seeing this last time at the same stage and MC a few days later but I'm staying positive. How far along are you now? I think my tests have reached hook effect stage, I did one when I was panicked on Saturday and it was lighter than before 🙈

Ltay2 · 03/08/2020 08:35

@SmileyT Oh I didn't know that! That makes sense and is very reassuring!

Bl0ndi3 · 03/08/2020 08:54

@SmileyT @zippityzip it's so frustrating waiting haha I just wanna know everything's okay as I'll never be able to fully relax until then!

I'm a little concerned about weight gain I've gained 6-7lbs in the last couple of weeks and it's bonkers because okay yeah I've had a few very bad eating days but the rest have been very good days so I shouldn't have put on that much, I don't normally when I have a few bad days.

I am hoping it's all bloat lol but I'm already looking in the mirror and thinking how horrible and fat I look and I do not want my weight worries to ruin pregnancy for me :(

I know all I can do is try and control my weight and I'm actually going to try and lose the 6lbs I've put on (safely!) but it's frustrating 😭😭😭

zippityzip · 03/08/2020 10:26

@SmileyT I'm meant to be 6+1 today but I'm guessing that will change after my scan, 8 days to go! I hope you're feeling positive it's all looking good!!

@Ltay2 Your tests are really strong! How do you think DH will react?

@Bl0ndi3 I can't actually bring myself to weigh myself! I'm bloody huge already.

@Mococo1 How are you doing?

LittleRa · 03/08/2020 10:28

@SmileyT Congrats on the scan! Was it internal or external?

Noble89 · 03/08/2020 11:01

Hi ladies,

I'm just playing catch up.

Firstly massive congratulations @Ltay2 so nice to have you join us 😊

@SmileyT so happy your scan went well!

I spoke to the EPU this morning and they're finally doing early scans again 🙌🙌🙌🙌

Got one booked for Sunday @ 3pm when I should be 7+2.

Fingers crossed it gives me some peace of mind

Ltay2 · 03/08/2020 11:27

@zippityzip I thought they seemed strong! I'm still in disbelief that this is even happening to me!! I think OH will be over the moon, going to have to carefully explain to not get ahead of ourselves with it being so early but also let him enjoy the moment knowing that I've had 2 days already to start processing it and he hasn't.

@Noble89 Thank you! I've been following this thread for a few weeks now longing to be here, so so grateful that I now am!

Bl0ndi3 · 03/08/2020 11:28

@Noble89 saw your update on the Facebook group too that's good I'm relieved for you as I know you were really anxious about it! Xx
