Okay I'm still super nervous but time to take the plunge and started a Grad bus for the recent BFPs from the main thread. According to NHS calculator I'm due 18th March and it's #1 for me 😬

@zippityzip the struggle is real my boobs are already a lot bigger I'm popping out of my normal bras but my maternity bras from last time are my current bra size so may have to get even bigger ones. I've packed all my jeans away and all my fitted work clothes there's no point wearing them when they are uncomfy im so bloated already!! X

@Bl0ndi3 you'll prob wear some maternity stuff for a month or two after the birth too as it takes a while to get back to normal I was surprised how long it took for my belly to shrink down x

zippityzip · 27/07/2020 11:51

@Mococo1 I think he is excited, just really cautious. We had an early loss after our second was born, it's the only thing I can think of really. He's a very practical person and already planning his overtime for money etc.

I've emailed the hospital with my reasons and they've already responded saying that they will ask the coordinator so I'm keeping hopeful!!!

How are you feeling?

zippityzip · 27/07/2020 11:52

@Cocoblue22 My nipples are like bloody burgers already 😂 I went to primark and stocked up on various wireless bras. Very unsexy!

Cocoblue22 · 27/07/2020 12:19

@zippityzip since I had DS I cannot stand wired bras any more they are soooo uncomfy the wireless ones are far more comfortable!

So I've dug out all my maternity stuff from last time and I can honestly say I'm a tad disappointed in my head I had loads of nice clothes up there but it seems not! X

Mococo1 · 27/07/2020 12:22

@zippityzip just the same symptoms still disappeared! and boobs are just tad sore but not sure if it's because I keep poking them 😂 ! so just trying to hope for the best.

EPU receptionist was so rude she kept tutting at me as I said my last period was the onset of the CP bleed and how that's not a period so booked for bloods now tomo to determine how far along I am and then they'll take it from there x

zippityzip · 27/07/2020 13:53

@Mococo1 I hope your bloods go well
Tomorrow!

@Cocoblue22 I binned every maternity item I owned. Because, you know how you say "I'm never doing this again".....

Kristy17 · 27/07/2020 14:00

I need to dig out my maternity bits from last time, they’ve all been vacuum packed.

@Mococo1 good luck with your bloods

@zippityzip That sounds super positive, my fingers are crossed for you.

FairyLights2 · 27/07/2020 14:01

@zippityzip I briefly was told about it by a friend. I still need to research it properly but I've always kept it in the back of my mind.

Ladies, my boobs are already humongous too! I used to be able to go braless sometimes but now they've already started drifting SOUTH! haha.

Cocoblue22 · 27/07/2020 15:49

@Mococo1 glad you're getting your bloods done let us know how it goes when you know the outcome. It will be interesting to find out how far along you are I didn't think they could tell how far you were from bloods? Or will you find that out at a scan? X

@zippityzip haha I stashed all mine I was all for doing it all again! X

@FairyLights2 I haven't been able to go braless since having ds x

FairyLights2 · 27/07/2020 16:48

@Cocoblue22 haha xx

Have you all booked your first appointment? I'm still not sure which hospital I'd like to travel to because my local one has terrible reviews. I read another poster saying that because of Covid-19, they're limiting out of borough patients.

I do plan to book a private scan if I don't get an appointment around August.

Mococo1 · 27/07/2020 18:06

Thanks girlies

@cocoblue22 She said there would be no point scanning me before 5 weeks as nothing would show. I think it's because ovulation can be really off after an EMC (last time I mc my next cycle was 6 weeks not 4) so they need to see my approx HCG levels..I bet they think I tested 6 days early! (I reckon they will call me back for another blood test in a few days and if it's rising just let me be hopefully)

as negative as I'm feeling I think il self refer to the hosp tonight purely for work reasons so I can book time off in advance x

Mococo1 · 27/07/2020 18:09

@FairyLights2 I think lockdown has also increased the amount of pregnancies..it wouldn't hurt to self refer and see if they accept you anyway? I mean if they all accept u just call and cancel

@zippityzip I really hope the coordinater will work something out for you as it's a valid reason hun

How is everyone else feeling!? X

Cocoblue22 · 27/07/2020 18:36

I'm in trouble....DH brought home a pack of haribo and I've nearly eaten the whole packet 🙄 I don't even like sweets normally x

Cocoblue22 · 27/07/2020 18:46

Well I did not see that snaccident coming 😬 x

SmileyT · 27/07/2020 18:51

@Cocoblue22 DP is on nights but had made me a lovely vegetable soup and had some leftover bolognese in the fridge but I ordered a KFC 😤😂 also can I say how efficient are you, wfh, looking after a LO and clearing out your wardrobe 🤯

@zippityzip did you hear back from the hospital? Seems ridiculous you only have one hospital you are allowed to give birth at, I didn't even think you had to pick your closest hospital, there are so many to pick from 😩

@Bl0ndi3 definitely don't stress and just enjoy being pregnant x

@Mococo1 definitely self-refer and don't take any notice of the nurse, some people just like to whinge there really is no difference dating from a MC, CP or LMP bleed, at the end of the day as we've seen from ttc not everyone has 28day cycles and even if you do have regular cycles sometimes you'll have a random 60 day cycle 🤷🏾‍♀️ most people's dates change at scan anyway. Hopefully they just give you your 48hr bloods and then you can relax and maybe they'll give you a reassurance scan next week aswell x

I'm going to be coming back to you all for mat clothes tips, most of my friends seem to be the type in normal clothes up to 5months but after lockdown I need more space in general, not sure it's my uterus just fat 😂

Cocoblue22 · 27/07/2020 19:04

@SmileyT haha don't give me praise.... my mum had my DS for a couple of hours this morning so that's how we got it done! Just trialled him using a cup with no lid and he drank out of it perfectly then wanted more so I filled it up and he dropped it over the side of his high chair all over the floor 😬 x

I'm just fat post lockdown too but at least I have a good excuse now! Feel sick again don't know if it's the haribo or just normal PG nausea I prob shouldn't of eaten so many sweets 🤢 x

zippityzip · 28/07/2020 05:56

@SmileyT @Mococo1 No news from the coordinator yet, really tense about it actually. I did tell them that they could see my complaint through PALS - I literally haven't set foot in that hospital since. What's more annoying, is geographically I'm actually closer to the one that I want! But not in that borough. Gah.

Love the snaccident 😂

@Mococo1 I feel you, I think due to lockdown half of me needing mat clothes early is because I'm just chunky now anyway 😂 seriously though you wear them for a few months, get some nice bundles on eBay. Also ASOS maternity is pretty good!

zippityzip · 28/07/2020 06:35

Got a massive Chinese takeaway last night and definitely looked pregnant when I got into bed!

Is anyone else struggling to sleep?

Cocoblue22 · 28/07/2020 07:33

@zippityzip I'm struggling to sleep I seem to be tired all day then awake at bed time and then I can get to sleep but it's staying asleep keep waking up with a sore leg or knee due to trying to sleep on my side (trying to get into the habit now rather than sleeping on my tummy!) x

zippityzip · 28/07/2020 07:49

@Cocoblue22 Yes! I woke up with burning hips and after some googling at 2am, apparently the relaxin hormone starts now so that would make sense. Albeit inconvenient because everything is going to hurt from 5 months onwards 😂

Cocoblue22 · 28/07/2020 07:52

@zippityzip yep I think my ligaments are really relaxed already I keep feeling them pull if I get up or roll over x

SmileyT · 28/07/2020 08:08

@zippityzip @Cocoblue22 I totally feel you ladies, I was looking back at the pictures of me from the last pregnancy at 7weeks and I could still see my abs 😩 I always planned to workout until I gave birth, so I could be as fit as possible and pregnancy wasn't such a strain, but now I don't want to start a gym programme having been out for 4months, bloody lockdown, obviously my lack of self-control isn't helping either 😂 sleep-wise I'm waking up during the night but going to bed earlier so getting more sleep overall but I used to run on about 5hrs a night so think it could only really increase 🙈

OP posts:
LittleRa · 28/07/2020 08:55

I am soo tired but had a terrible night’s sleep! So annoying.

Cocoblue22 · 28/07/2020 09:08

@SmileyT yeah I wouldn't go back to intensely exercising while PG since you've had a break you can soon get back on it after the birth and can do gentle exercises while pg (although tbf I didn't really exercise last time other than the odd swim or going for a walk - after about 30 weeks I was too huge to do anything!) x

FairyLights2 · 28/07/2020 09:12

@zippityzip I keep waking up in the middle of the night to pee. Usually around 4 am and then I can get back to sleep until 6 am. This has been going on for a few nights now.

If the window isn't open wide, I start sweating profusely. I can't be anywhere too warm! I also think my sense of smell has heightened. I hate the smell of our soap right now! It has to go! And it's dove. For some reason, the smell just makes me feel nauseas.
