So reassuring reading everyone’s msgs and lovely to see all the healthy scans. I am pregnant with my 1st I will be 18 weeks tomorrow and can’t help but see sad stories and hear about losses. I just want my 20 week scan to hurry. My husband just keep saying stop thinking things. It’s easier to say that. I have spoken to my friends and they also said it’s normal to feel strange feelings at times. Xx

I'm 5ft1 and I found asos is pretty good with maternity stuff, I've bought a few things from them now.
I'm 21+4today so here's my bump 😊 my colleague at work thinks that I'm going to be massive as I'm so petite. Which I really hope wont be the case haha but my fiance is 6ft3 so I'm a tiny bit worried.

I wish you all luck with your scans! It is nerve racking but it will be fine, positive thoughts ladies! After the 20week scan most of us wont have them till we're like 36weeks! That will drag haha

Hanrora06 · 09/07/2020 21:54

@lc86 they haven't changed it here in Sheffield either! My 20 week scan isn't until August 3rd so I hope it's OK by then.... but if not we have our private scan next Wednesday so at least he'll have at least one!

lc86 · 09/07/2020 22:21

Yes @Hanrora06 thank goodness for private scans! This lockdown has definitely boosted their income lol xx

Missworry92 · 10/07/2020 09:42

@Kj1010 I think you will start feeling more and more pregnant from 18weeks 😊 I think that was the turning point for me where I started feeling pregnant and not just bloated baloon haha 🤣

confused107 · 10/07/2020 12:12

Does anyone have any experience with this company for maternity bras. Popped up on Facebook and look good value but are they any good braandbebe.com/

Pinktruffle · 10/07/2020 13:40

@peachypetite hope the scan went/goes well!

@firstbabybell glad baby was well and doing the right things!

RestorationInsanity · 10/07/2020 14:40

DH just felt the baby properly kick/punch! Wonder which way the baby is because it was right in the centre a few inches below my belly button! I guess it could have been knees too?

firstbabybell · 10/07/2020 14:43

@restorationinsanity that's lovely!!

By the way, just curious, but I didn't see a midwife today so no BP, bloods or urine & no plans to do any until 28 weeks. I am slightly alarmed by that given the last time anyone will have checked them was at 12 weeks! Are other people waiting 16 weeks between these tests?

EithneBlue · 10/07/2020 14:52

@firstbabybell - yeah, my BP/Urine was checked at my booking in, which was at about 9 weeks I've not seen a midwife since then. I've been told that all my appointments will be face-to-face from 25 weeks so also a 16 week gap between those checks!

@peachypetite - hope your scan has gone well today :-)

confused107 · 10/07/2020 14:53

@firstbabybell I would call your GP and ask to speak to a midwife or ask them to outline when you should expect an appointment. I didn't realise I should see a midwife at 16 weeks, so I rung my GP and they got me straight in with the midwife 2 days later. I was 17 weeks by then and they checked blood pressure, urine and listened to the heartbeat and made another appointment for me to go back at 24 weeks for the same. The midwife called me this week and said she was now at the gp surgery like normal. I know it varies greatly but you should at least be given an indication of what to expect appointment wise

MummyShark97 · 10/07/2020 15:11

@RestorationInsanity Lovely isn't it!!! He was kicking me so much this morn I actually started feeling a bit sore! I think I'm starting to get a really good idea for whereabouts he is etc now. It's all really exciting.

Starting to wonder if I'm a bit ahead of my EDD actually as it seems early to be getting such strong movements! 20 weeks tomorrow.

Hanrora06 · 10/07/2020 15:32

@firstbabybell I had been kind of thinking it was fine as a telephone appointment but then reading through I've decided instead I might as well have face to face if I can! Might as well check in with an actual midwife. Just rang my GP and they said that's fine, and the midwife will just do whatever tests she thinks are necessary, so I'm booked in for next Tuesday! I'll be 17+3 weeks by then but I didn't have my scan until about 13 weeks so I'm not too behind. Thanks @confused107 for the idea!

RestorationInsanity · 10/07/2020 15:35

I reckon I might end up with a big baby and that's why I can feel it, am only 19 weeks today!

@firstbabybell I've been told I'll have BP, urine etc done at my 20 week scan, as I did for my dating scan, and then again at my first face to face midwife appt which will be at 28 weeks. Apparently I'll have a midwife phone call at 24/25 weeks. It seems utterly bizarre that midwifery care can be so inconsistent. Surely it's either important to have these checks carried out regularly or it isn't, and if it it, then everyone should have them one way or another!

@EithneBlue and anyone else who commented on the thread, did you notice on the guest post about midwifery care, noone actually ever came and answered any queries?

Hanrora06 · 10/07/2020 15:35

@RestorationInsanity that's so exciting! My husband is sooooo ready to feel a kick so fingers crossed it won't be long! For now it's still just little tickles and an occasional sort of 'pop' but nothing strong enough to feel from the outside really, but I hope not too long.

Babyhope98 · 10/07/2020 15:57

Here is my little girl was so proud seeing her there and all was well. Feeling so much movement now, has anyone felt something down below, it almost feels as if some air is released think it must be her moving or something 😅

👣 Due Nov/Dec 👣 it's the 20 week scans! 👣
EithneBlue · 10/07/2020 15:58

@RestorationInsanity - I'm not surprised, to be honest. Although I am frustrated and disappointed.
