@MummyShark97 I can share in that one! I've been breathless for over a week now and it's doing my head in! At 23 weeks the baby starts to grow in to your ribcage which compacts your lungs causing breathlessness. I'm 23 weeks today so my little bean must be a little ahead as I've been having this since last Monday

MummyShark97 · 30/07/2020 12:20

@Pinktruffle found it so frustrating when I've been trying to sleep especially!

PipTed · 30/07/2020 12:23

I’m the same with the pains when turning in bed and with the pins and needles. Haven’t thought too much about it either, as just assumed it’s another pregnancy thing. 🙈

I’m on the look out for travel systems now and I’ve opened a can of worms! I need a lightweight car seat and carry got as I’m not very strong. But the pram itself needs good suspension and large wheels as I live in a rural area. Any recommendations?

Pinktruffle · 30/07/2020 12:23

Yeah it seems to be worse the minute I lie down. It's so frustrating!

Pinktruffle · 30/07/2020 12:25

@Pipted the new Mamas and Papas Strada pram looks good and comes as a travel system. Its seems to fold up pretty small and the reviews say it's very light.
We have bought a Stokke Xplory but my DH has been admiring the Strada a lot recently

peachypetite · 30/07/2020 13:35

@kkr168 yes I have!! I’ve also been uncomfy turning over. When half asleep I think I forget I am pregnant and expect just to be as nimble as I used to Grin

PipTed · 30/07/2020 13:36

@Pinktruffle I went to mamas and papas on Tuesday and saw the strada, which is lightweight, but more suitable for urban areas. Which is a shame.

There are just so many options and variations. Easy to get sucked into the really stylish ones, that I actually will not be able to pick up/transport 🤣

peachypetite · 30/07/2020 13:49

@PipTed mama and papa ocarro?

confused107 · 30/07/2020 14:02

I'm also starting to look at pushchairs. I like the look of the bugaboo fox and really like the look of the oyster 3. I'm going to John Lewis with my mom at the weekend to have a look.

Be very interested to hear what everyone has gone for or would recommend. This is our first and only baby so not concerned about a growing family or using it again.

peachypetite · 30/07/2020 14:04

@confused107 the advice I always read online in pram articles is it totally depends on your lifestyle and needs, what is great for a city mum wouldn’t work for a mum in the countryside. Me personally I’m deffo going to go for a travel system for the ease and convenience.

Pinktruffle · 30/07/2020 14:15

We went to Baby Planet in Derby as they had a much wider range of prams than everywhere else, and were very happy to give us discounts too. I would recommend them if this within travelling distance for you @confused107

confused107 · 30/07/2020 14:17

Same I definitely need a travel system. My biggest considerations are that it needs to fit in the boot of my clio and that we live semi-rurally with a cobblestone town centre so it will need to handle well. I've asked my mom to come with me as she will be helping with childcare so I want to be sure that putting it up and down is ok for her too. Think the plan is to get a shortlist together after our trip to John Lewis then do lots of online research. It's such a lot of money to spend I don't want to regret my decision

PipTed · 30/07/2020 14:18

@peachypetite the Ocarro is too heavy. 🤣 and that’s without the baby! I really am quite weak in my arms and at only 5’2” my height doesn’t work in my favour. I do love the Ocarro though a friend of mine has it and it’s a very nice looking system.

@confused107 the Oyster 3 looks really good, id have to go for it with the maxi cosi car seat travel system, as it’s really light! But looks like the frame itself is super easy to fold and set up.

peachypetite · 30/07/2020 14:27

Do you mean too heavy to push? I’m same height and not strong either!!

Babyhope98 · 30/07/2020 14:31

@jalu47 it probably is just a urine infection I bled a bit in my first trimester and I had a urine infection. They found blood in my urine which indicates one. Try not to worry x

confused107 · 30/07/2020 14:33

Thanks @pinktruffle Derby is only about 45 minutes from us so will definitely go take a look. My mom is looking more for an 'experience' so the plan is to have a little afternoon out with her, out together a shortlist then I will go and buy it with my husband once we have decided

Pinktruffle · 30/07/2020 14:45

Aww bless, I hope you both have fun! I'm going to stay at my mum and dads for 2 weeks tomorrow and I can't wait, I haven't seen them since before lockdown.

I got £200 off my pram and £50 off my carseat at Pram World so was well worth the trip for us!

peachypetite · 30/07/2020 15:56

@PipTed have you looked at Ickle bubba? (Honestly the brand name is absolutely awful!! But look past that as the prams look nice)

Bluebell2020 · 30/07/2020 15:57

We went for the Uppababy Vista V2 travel system! First baby so who knows what we will think of it when the time comes but for now I absolutely love it!
