I have a extra 3 scans booked after 20 week one as they say this baby could be small as my first was apparently even though 6lbs 1 ain't small I think

Scotinportugal · 16/07/2020 17:51

Hello ladies! How is everyone today?
I just had my 20 week scan, feeling so relieved baby boy is healthy Grin only issue is I don't have enough blood flowing through the cord.... anyone else had this?

@peachypetite I'm in the Algarve, close to Albufeira. Stupidly didn't get health insurance, so I'm going through the public health system which even Portuguese people wince at when I tell them Confused however today's scan was private and it's put my mind at ease, lots of explaining and the doctor was more than happy to speak English with me!

kkr168 · 16/07/2020 18:19

A few of you have been looking for neutral baby clothes, I picked these up in m&s, they were only £12

@nearlyamummyof2boys my 20 week scan is my last NHS scan. I have a private 4d scan booked for 16th August when I will be 25+3 weeks, I cannot wait.

nearlyamummyof2boys · 16/07/2020 18:29

Thanks for replies everyone I didn't realise 20 weeks was the last one! I didn't know till so late with my DS1 some of this is still all new to me.

MummyShark97 · 16/07/2020 18:46

soo quite shocked that tonight I've started having a bit of boob leakage! We're talking teeny tiny amounts - anyone else had this?

kkr168 · 16/07/2020 19:20

@MummyShark97 I haven't but sure a few on here have mentioned it.

We purchased a 2nd hand next to me dream crib so ordered a new mattress, it was due to be delivered earlier today but never arrived. A man has just knocked our door & handed it to us, he found it in the middle of the road about 5 mins from our house!! Very grateful for him going out of his way & very angry with hermes for failing to deliver.

Pe4nutsmum · 16/07/2020 19:33

Hey ladies.
Sorry I have been missing for a while.
I've tried to catch up but things had moved so fast.

I had a little scare and was bleeding but everything is okay, it just really scared me so I came off all forums. I've started to feel my little man move more and more which is helping me to relax.

With the constant sickness I don't really have a bump, all your bumps look amazing. This is my little bump 19w5.
I've bought a good few things for little Murray. Jacob Matthews had a good sale on.. Love there stuff.
Hope your all well. And I look forward to catching up with you all xxx

@Pe4nutsmum you have returned to us! So happy to hear from you lovely, definitely the right thing to step away from forums or the internet when in times of major stress. It's just not the one is it. Well your nearly half way now thank goodness, and we are here whenever you need 🥰🥰

And thanks ladies on the ground b strep information ladies, I'll get it sorted at 35 weeks as mine is coming out at 36/37 this time. I saw they do it locally private but will ask my midwife/consultant next time just in case I can save the few pounds, every little will help at this stage

Some cute organic cotton sleep-suits from h&m, I'm not supposed to be buying any clothing but I'm very tempted 😬

@kkr168 thanks so much for the heads up, found them online and despite saying new it’s already low stock! www.marksandspencer.com/5-piece-organic-cotton-starter-set-6-lbs-12-mths-/p/clp60450824

Hi all, 20 week scan went well today. Such a relief! Now we have decided to start buying. Going to start with the nursery decoration/furniture we think just in case I run out of steam as we get closer. Got my eye on these gorgeous wall stickers on Etsy

etsy.me/2IFVJ1j

Just thinking about sleep suits/ all in ones. Think that's all this baby will be wearing for a while. Are you guys buying just long sleeved ones or should I get some short sleeved ones too? How many do you think I need?

kkr168 · 16/07/2020 21:50

@confused107 Those wall stickers are beautiful
I've gone for a mixture of long & short sleeve

Snowwhite2020 · 16/07/2020 21:55

Does anyone else have a few days sometimes of feeling a bit sick/ dizzy and then realising their bump is bigger. I swear it must be when the baby has a growth spurt I feel a bit unwell 😂 xx

NaomiB79 · 16/07/2020 22:23

@Snowwhite2020 I think I'm having that just now. I threw up loads a few hours ago and been feeling really tired and just generally pretty rough this week. My bump has been a bit sore too which I think are growth pains.

Snowwhite2020 · 16/07/2020 22:30

@NaomiB79 mine is a bit tight tonight too! Must be growth... xx

Missworry92 · 16/07/2020 22:53

@MummyShark97 I've have it too, not every day but every other day or if I give it a gentle squeeze 😂 guess it's a great sign.

I've read your comments regarding whooping cough injection and rang my gp surgery in the hope to book it in and they told me to hang up as they are only dealing with emergencies 😑 they pissed me off with that especially as my midwife never replies to my messages either 😭 I'm 22+4 and nobody has even mentioned the injection so I'm glad I've read it on here!

kkr168 · 16/07/2020 23:09

@missworry92 does your drs have a website? Ours does & has an econsult, which has to be used for anything non urgent, they usually reply within 24 hours.

Pe4nutsmum · 16/07/2020 23:48

@ChampooPapi thank you, Im so glad to see your all doing well.

My 20 week scan is next week Thursday.
It will. Be so good to see my little man. I had a wee private one again.

And it was the cutest ever he's holding his face and you can see his smile and his nose.

Do we automatically get tested for strep b or do we have to ask for it.

I really need to stop buying cloths. I just love all the jasper conran stuff from Debenhams, they had a huge blue cross sale... He has 15 outfit ranging from newborn to 1 month to 3months.

I keep forgetting to pick up socks xx

peachypetite · 17/07/2020 05:56

@ChampooPapi those H&M are lovely, must check it out. @confused107 I’ve been looking at a jungle theme too. And have those stickers bookmarked. We bought our “forever” house not too long ago and have spent ages renovating. What will be the baby’s room is white walls and neutral wooden floor and I don’t want to paint or put wallpaper up until it is older so the stickers seem like the best way to add colour. There are quite a lot of jungle inspires ones here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/3897517-SHOW-ME-YOUR-NURSERY

Missworry92 · 17/07/2020 06:10

@kkr168 ah I will have a look! I'm new with them as i only moved 3months ago so not sure, just hate it when they are so rude 😭
