@Kpm7 great!
I’ve been awake since 4am Sad it’s going to be a long day. I’ve mainly been sleeping better but woke up and felt a bit hungry so came downstairs for tea and biscuits.

chubbyhotchoc · 16/07/2020 06:05

Jesus ladies. I had the whooping cough jab yesterday and I've woken up this morning with my arm throbbing, I can barely move it. Anyone else had it yet?

excitednerves · 16/07/2020 06:38

So much going on on this thread! I’m loving all the baby purchases and scan pics. I have stopped shopping for now until we move and I have a chance to unpack DS1’s baby stuff to sort through.

@nearlyamummyof2boys can’t believe how you e been treated. Totally get why you are ready to move trusts and hope things improve in the meantime. I’m really nervous about moving trust as the car I get here is so good. My sister in laws mum is a midwife at the hospital I’m moving to so I’ll have a route in to complain at least - but hoping it doesn’t come to that.

I’ve been back at work this week so it’s flown in! Can’t believe my scan is tomorrow! Eeeek! I was team surprise for DS and it was lovely! But I want to find out this time.

Snowwhite2020 · 16/07/2020 06:54

@chubbyhotchoc yep I had that after the whooping cough jab! It disappeared after a couple of days xx

Kpm7 · 16/07/2020 08:00

@peachypetite oh gosh. I thought it was just me going crazy. I couldn’t sleep till 4. Was also nibbling on biscuits 🤣

Was trying to order the things from Sainsburys and it kept rejecting my card. I don’t understand why. My phone stores my details and I purchased something yesterday too. I will try again now. Just woke up feeling exhausted.

@chubbyhotchoc I’ve not had that. When do we get that. I have my 20 wk scan a week on Tuesday.
Xx

Awkes · 16/07/2020 08:09

Morning ladies!
Not been on in a while. Is anyone else ridiculously exhausted? I’m sleeping 9/10 hours easy a night 😴 I do think maybe going back to work has contributed but still. I feel your worries @EithneBlue I work in a day centre for adults with learning difficulties. None of them understand social distancing and aren’t brilliant at washing hands/not touching face etc. We can’t wear masks as communication issues mean they need to see our faces fully. It’s a minefield! They’ve put everything the government has advised in place but it’s still in no way ideal and I have been carrying round a sneaky fabulosa disinfectant spray 😂
I’ve got my 20 week scan tomorrow so I’m very excited about that. She’s been so active bouncing around on my bladder the last few days. I’m sure the OH will be able to feel her soon because she is so forceful now when she kicks.
Also lovely to see all your bumps! Will have to post one of my own soon but feeling very much like a beached whale this week so maybe when I can appreciate my bump again 🤰🏻

PipTed · 16/07/2020 08:31

@chubbyhotchoc I’m suffering with a dead arm and I had the jab on tues! It’s reduced my already limited sleeping positions. 😂 super tired today, wonder if that’s a symptom?

chubbyhotchoc · 16/07/2020 08:33

@Kpm7 you need to ring your gp surgery and get booked in for it I think. They'll do it after the 20 week scan. There is a cut off point when it's less effective but can't recall when it is.

chubbyhotchoc · 16/07/2020 08:35

@PipTed mine just feels really sore to move. I think I'm going to have a massive bruise. Funnily enough I was looking in my pregnancy journal from my dd and I had a massive arm bruise on one of the pics and wondered what it was!

danielasummer · 16/07/2020 08:44

@nearlyamummyof2boys I know, me too! So glad she managed to get that photo :) also yes for needing to pee constantly!! I'll spend 5 minutes weeing then will go off, and come back 10 minutes later with a full bladder. What's that all about?!?! Also I'm so glad your health visitor has starting helping you. Fingers crossed you start getting the care you need and deserve. xx

@ChampooPapi thank you so much lovely! I just still can't believe it's real, I keep staring at the photos! And to think that less than 6 months ago I was updating the SMEP thread with CD1..!
Wow £15 Snuzpod, I'm envious, they are so pricey - I need to start looking on gumtree and Marketplace I think. You are so prepared, I definitely need to start shopping today. When is your next scan? I know you've probably said, I'm finding it hard to keep track! Do you have an updated bump pic? I love seeing those photos!! xx

danielasummer · 16/07/2020 08:46

Can I just ask.. is anyone anxious about going shopping for the baby? I work from home anyway, haven't been food shopping since March, have pretty much only left the house for socially distanced lunches in gardens and my midwife appointments. But today I'm desperate to go and buy some baby things in person. What has everyone else been doing? Am I silly to be so anxious?

Kj1010 · 16/07/2020 08:49

@chubbyhotchoc actually they do the whooping cough up till just before birth consultant told me but they do say the earlier u have the more time to get in and protect your baby I'm gonna see if they will do at 20 week scan if not I will have to travel to other hospital to get it done as not sure if my doctors do it

peachypetite · 16/07/2020 08:51

@danielasummer I’ve been browsing online, bought some winter sleepsuits and Sensory muslins! I don’t feel comfortable going to shops yet either. I wouldn’t buy a pram without trying it but I’m going to wait longer. I am weeing constantly too!! Thankful to be at home. My wee is basically clear! And yes to sleeping nine hours a night. I’m feeling crappy today already after my early start, maybe some online shopping will cheer me up.

peachypetite · 16/07/2020 08:52

Whooping cough is okay up to 32 weeks Smile

Snowwhite2020 · 16/07/2020 08:52

I booked in with the gp to get whooping cough vaccine. I’d be surprised if most gps didn’t offer it. It was given by the practice nurse and took 2 mins. I’d phone up and see. Xx

kkr168 · 16/07/2020 09:19

@danielasummer I've only been to next, which was very quiet. I am hoping to go to mamas & papas soon, there aren't many baby shops near me.

I had my whooping cough jab straight after the 20 week scan, luckily I seem to have avoided any side effects, I've had no pain/bruising either.

NaomiB79 · 16/07/2020 09:36

@chubbyhotchoc I had a dead arm for 3 days after my whooping cough jag. I couldn't sleep on that side at all as it was really sore!

MummyShark97 · 16/07/2020 09:41

@kkr168 I've absolutely loved the baby stuff I've got from next, I have a next clearance not too far from me so I'll have to go when things settle down a bit!

ChampooPapi · 16/07/2020 10:16

Whooping cough is usually available after your 20 week scan, you just need to ask for it when you sign in at reception and a nurse will do it after the scan in most hospitals 💉🙌

It doesn't hurt at all, it feels like someone touching your arm. But then the next day.... Sheesh your arm is dead 😆

👣 Due Nov/Dec 👣 it's the 20 week scans! 👣
MummyShark97 · 16/07/2020 10:49

so true about the vaccine! had mine yesterday and I can't believe the bruise! Doesn't hurt when you have it done though.

Kj1010 · 16/07/2020 10:54

Glad doesn't hurt I'm.petrefied of needles I think I'll ring doctors see if I can get in there and have it done as docs only 5 mins away hospital ain't far but the parking charges are ridiculous

MummyShark97 · 16/07/2020 11:23

@Kj1010 not at all! I know what you mean I have to just look away.

nearlyamummyof2boys · 16/07/2020 11:29

I've just booked my whooping cough at gps for next Tuesday! They said I can bring my son as well which is so helpful! Might discuss with GP lack of care as well.
I'm really hoping the midwives who my health worker phoned yesterday ring me today or I will despair!
