@MummyShark97 lol, I had a mini tantrum earlier because my partner forgot to get clotted cream. It was essential to my gorging later on this evening dam him! I used a sleepyhead with my last, I've got the 0-8 months one and the grand. They are brilliant! I actually just got a second 0-8 months one for the other twin from eBay. My grand was also second hand as I couldn't justify the cost really as they are even more extortionate then the delux's. I did use the sleepyhead in the snuzpod, I know alot of people don't and a lot of people do, so it is up to you. I will add that other then the flat matress for night sleeping NHS and s.i.ds do not suggest using anything else.

I can't sing the sleepyheads praises enough though, and my little one did sleep a dream in it at night inside the next to me crib. I did also use it around the house too, they are fab, as long as you wash the cover only and never try and wash the innerds, i've seen some horror shows from when people have attempted that!

just seems so convenient for nipping to see family etc and even not moving his basket around the house!

MummyShark97 · 14/07/2020 16:51

@ChampooPapi ouh I'm loving hearing this it's boosting my confidence to invest!

nearlyamummyof2boys · 14/07/2020 16:53

I also can't recommend this bath enough was brilliant!

And you also want good scratch mitts I found Sainsbury's ones good but anything that's loose they will just pull off - our little boy was a terrible scratcher as he had had excema and there was nothing as good as finding mitts that stayed on!
And good bibs are a life saver as well - I found poppers a lot better then velcro!

peachypetite · 14/07/2020 16:54

@MummyShark97 house buying is honestly one of the most stressful things you’ll ever face in your life and being pregnant on top, I’m not surprised you had a cry! I was crying almost daily at one point when we sold our first place and bought this one, and I wasn’t pregnant. I have heard great things about the sleepyhead.

nearlyamummyof2boys · 14/07/2020 17:27

@peachypetite @MummyShark97 isn't it just so hard! Add covid on top!
Nightmare will be amazing when we move though positive thoughts 😩

Kpm7 · 14/07/2020 17:45

Thank you @peachypetite really helpful.
Loved the m&s ones. Sadly out of stock as well as the mamas and papas.
Love the next ones too just I am really fussy and don’t want any colours. I maybe need to be less fussy. I have the born in 2020 one I love that.

I managed to order the 3 pack from matalan It wouldn’t allow me to add more than 1 in my bag. Maybe there is 1 left in stock. I am still dubious as to weather I will get them as I placed an order with matalan for blankets and Muslins. Then 2 weeks later after paying the decided to tell me the Muslins are not In stock even thought I was charged lol.
It said with the set I just ordered 98 have been purchased in the last 48 hours. Baby boom alert. HHa.

@nearlyamummyof2boys I will check Amazon out thank you. I didn’t notice the previous comment as so much is going on on here. Haha.

I am so fussy and literally just want plain white. Think I can’t be so fussy if I am not finding out lol xx

It’s only baby grows 0-3 I am struggling with.

peachypetite · 14/07/2020 17:51

@Kpm7 omg can’t believe things have sold out in the last few hours Shock

nearlyamummyof2boys · 14/07/2020 19:01

Sophie the giraffe muslins on groupon ❤️

RestorationInsanity · 14/07/2020 19:12

I've just ordered fabric samples for the nursery curtains 😂 I seem to only be able to make decisions on stuff the baby won't really use or wear 🙈

Kpm7 · 14/07/2020 19:45

Sending hugs and love. I see you are moving to Liverpool. That’s my home town 😃. London to Liverpool is a big move. Good luck with it all. @nearlyamummyof2boys

@ChampooPapi @MummyShark97
I am so keen to get the sleepyhead delux. Nearly everyone I know with babies has them.
My sister had a little boy last December and she just got a cheap version which she loves. She used it everywhere and swears by it. I am sure she only paid about £20ish too xx

Kpm7 · 14/07/2020 19:49

Not sure if you have seen this from gap for girls. It’s lovely. I am half hoping for a girl just purely for the clothes.

1 reason I don’t want to find out Is because people will buy me all sorts and I will be so fussy and probably won’t like them. I sound terrible I know. Blush xx

kkr168 · 14/07/2020 20:36

Those of you that have also had the 20 week scan, did they take bloods?
I was expecting them to be taken today but they weren't.

I had ketones present in my urine again, not enough to concern them, just told me I need to eat more but I'm definitely eating enough.

RestorationInsanity · 14/07/2020 20:39

@kkr168 if you think you're eating enough over all, try eating more carbs (ketosis is a state desired by those in low carb diets as it's when your body starts to burn fat stores, which isn't really want you want in pregnancy), or try spreading out your food so you're eating the same amount but spread more evenly across the day.

MummyShark97 · 14/07/2020 20:41

@kpm7 that's it I'm sold!!

@peachypetite awh thank you, I know I will be so relieved to get in the new house and nest!

chubbyhotchoc · 14/07/2020 20:43

@Kpm7 I've looked at that about ten times! It's lovely isn't it. The only thing holding me back is it being cream. My washing skills are not great. Anything cream or white always ends up grey 🤣

chubbyhotchoc · 14/07/2020 20:45

@Kpm7 Liverpool is my home town too. I miss it

kkr168 · 14/07/2020 20:48

@RestorationInsanity I eat way to many carbs, toasts for breakfast, 90% of the time I'll have a sandwich for lunch, always have pasta or potatoes with dinner. She advised me to start eating 6 small meals a day but seriously who has time for that?
A quick google said it can also be caused by dehydration, I know I don't drink enough throughout the day, so will make much more of an effort with this & see if there is any change next time.

Kpm7 · 14/07/2020 22:05

@chubbyhotchoc that’s a good point.

There are some lovely boutiques on Instagram xx

Once you follow 1 they all start to follow you. It’s tempting me to find out what I am having lol

@kkr168 I am constantly hungry. All I want is carbs. 😂. X

MummyShark97 · 14/07/2020 22:10

@RestorationInsanity ugh stop I found the cutest blind: www.blindsdirect.co.uk/product/olivia-bard-personalised-tiny-star-blue-roman-blind

ready for the new house!

MummyShark97 · 14/07/2020 22:11

sorry misread should've tagged @chubbyhotchoc !

Scotinportugal · 15/07/2020 02:03

Hello everyone! I'm a FTM
Hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread, I'm 19+4 or 5 i guess since it's 2am Smile
Got my 20 week scan on Thursday and so nervous. I live in the Algarve and haven't had a great experience so far with the hospital/doctors.
Been lurking and reading everyone's posts so thought I'd join in since I don't have any preggy friends out here Grin

PipTed · 15/07/2020 08:19

Our midwife unit recently posted this onto their Facebook page, it’s general advice re: corona etc.

Interesting to see that although we’re classed as vulnerable, there’s no specific advice for us; simply to follow the current social distancing guidelines...

However, maternity units are being evermore strict on policies. I would rather be safe in this instance, it’s just frustrating that nothing is consistent.

I feel it is very much open to interpretation. 🙈

Welcome @Scotinportugal your dates are about the same as mine I think. I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and also have my scan tomorrow. I understand your nerves, I'm there too but this is a very friendly group for a hand hold

ChampooPapi · 15/07/2020 08:27

Welcome and congratulations @Scotinportugal on your pregnancy 👣🙌. Do you know if your having a boy or a girl or are you finding out next week?
