Currently 37+5 with my first baby. She's due on the 20th :) How's everyone feeling?

I'm suffering a lot with SPD and crazy pelvic pressure, along with bump pain and awful heartburn.

Also first time mum to a little girl. I’m due on 16th! Having an elective csection next week as the baby is breech. I really started struggling with walking (20 minutes walk and I HAVE to sit down). My heartburn is gone now (thankfully!). Excited and scared 🙃 are you all packed for the hospital? How are you feeling in general?

erised24 · 03/07/2020 16:12

Definitely excited and scared too! I'm pretty much all packed I think, just a few last minute bits to get. Mostly snacks and toiletries.

Also due on the 20th. Not feeling too bad most of the time. Having heartburn too which isn't great. Last night had to get up 3 times in the night for a wee which is annoying and getting bathroom refit starting Monday so could be interesting having to use the downstairs loo!

Birdy1991 · 03/07/2020 16:22

Yep due on the 30th. How are you guys feeling? I’ve had enough and not even due for almost four weeks! Are you ready for your babies arrivals? 😊 xx

erised24 · 03/07/2020 16:31

I've been off work for 3 months so have used the time to fully prep for her (I hope). Am ready in that I have all the things she will need but not sure about ready mentally haha, don't think anything can really prepare you. Still feel like it's not real! :P

Hello Ladies!
I'm due on the 26th July, with our first baby, sex unknown.
Saw the midwife today and I have suspected pre-eclampsia, so have to go for further testing on Sunday..
Feeling deflated and exhausted, but more than ready to meet our little one when the time comes ❤️

July is finally here, and all our little ones will be with us before we know it!..

ChocolateChop · 03/07/2020 18:03

Hello everyone,
I'm due on the 21st with my second son. I still can't quite believe it's July already! Definitely ready for his arrival now. Is anyone else struggling with sleep? I now have to alternate which side I sleep on almost every 30mins because my hips hurt so much!

arleybarley · 03/07/2020 18:11

Hello.
I'm due on Tuesday with my 3rd and it's my partners 1st.
Suffering badly with pelvic pain, walking is such a struggle.
Thought things were starting a couple of nights ago,had very intense braxton hicks every 10mins for an hour and a half then it just stopped, was so disappointed!

WeeScottishWife · 03/07/2020 18:13

I'm due at the end of the month, starting to be really ready to meet her now!

Have you seen the 'July 2020' thread in the Birth Clubs section? Lots of us over there who are waiting for little ones to arrive :)

Missdrifter · 03/07/2020 18:31

Hi ladies. I am due this month too! Can’t believe how quickly it has come around. Feeling very exhausted now but the end is in sight now.
Like @Izabela86 my baby is also breech and after a failed ECV I am booked in for a c section! How are you feeling about the c section @Izabela86?

AliasGrape · 03/07/2020 18:41

I’m due on 30th. First baby, don’t know the sex.

Apparently we’re having a big one. Got another growth scan on Tuesday so will see what that brings.

I feel ok overall. Well I say that - I’m very sore and lots of pressure in pelvic area, that’s getting worse now, and the heartburn is killing me. I’ve actually slept ok the last few nights, in between the frequent wees, so that’s helped. I feel quite weary by about this time in the evening though, I have to do anything I want doing in the mornings really as from lunch onwards there’s a steady decline!

Mumtoone39 · 03/07/2020 18:54

My due date is the 16th, but waters started to leak this morning so now in the hospital waiting for something to happen. Just a bit of cramping so far, hopefully things start to move soon. 38+2 at the mo. Have been a bit tired and a bit of sciatica and swollen feet. This will be baby 2.

erised24 · 03/07/2020 20:07

@Mumtoone39 oohh, good luck! Hope this is it for you.

I'm really hoping baby is going to arrive sooner rather than later. I can't imagine being in this state for another month!

Mumtoone39 · 03/07/2020 20:52

Thank you. Cramps are getting a bit more frequent so fingers crossed. They gave me curry for tea so hopefully that helps!

It's weird being here without my partner, very different to first time round.

thattravelphotographer · 03/07/2020 21:24

Hello ladies, it's really nice to come across this thread, thank you for setting it up!

I'm 38 weeks today, due a girl on 17th. Like many of you my hips are also painful now so I really don't look forward to sleeping. That said, up until the last week I've had really bad pregnancy insomnia but the last week I have slept SO much better - long may that continue! Ready for her to come now though, and can't wait to have use of my body back!

One thing I'm really suffering with though is carpal tunnel. My hands are permanently like claws - has anyone else experienced this and is there anything I can do?

erised24 · 04/07/2020 10:14

@thattravelphotographer I've not heard of that specifically, did you suffer with it before? My pregnancy has caused the symptoms of my EDS to flare up at times.

happygolucky6 · 04/07/2020 10:28

37+5 due on the 20th with a little girl :-)

@thattravelphotographer I am suffering with carpal tunnel, I had it as a little girl and had it operated on and it plays up now and again but come back with a vengeance in pregnancy. The best thing for you to do is get a support strap for your wrist or if you don't have one use a bandage and wrap it really tight around the effected area and the pressure helps. Xx

Nelbert19 · 04/07/2020 10:33

I’m due this month too! I’m 37 weeks with our first baby, a little boy.

Getting pretty uncomfortable all the time now, but only mild PGP, which I’m grateful for. Only a few more bits and pieces to get ready - fitting the car seat and setting up the buggy - but otherwise as ready as we’ll ever be I think!

Got a feeling he’ll be here before his due date, but that may be wishful thinking more than an accurate prediction!

2020firsttimemum · 04/07/2020 12:10

Hope you don't mind me joining thread!

Also due this month but was due yesterday 😂 but here I am still pregnant lol!

I hope you all don't go over your due dates! Feeling okay, just the size of a whale and would like our boy here now!

Good luck to you all 💕

thattravelphotographer · 04/07/2020 13:14

Thank you @happygolucky6 I will try wrist supports as just googled it and that makes sense. I've never had it before but both my dad and grandad had it so maybe it's hereditary! Hopefully it goes soon after labour.

Hoping everyone's babies come soon, these last weeks/days have become such an anxious waiting game now!

joannew4 · 04/07/2020 13:17

I'm 38 weeks with our second, gender unknown, due 18th July. Have a little boy who is 20 months. My SPD has improved over recent weeks and I'm feeling much better, finally checked off the last thing on my list to sort before baby arrives. I was induced at 38+3 with my first so in my head that's where pregnancy ends, strange to think I could still be pregnant in another 3 weeks. Excited to meet little baba now!

WeeScottishWife · 04/07/2020 16:56

@2020firsttimemum I hope your little one arrives soon!

I'm at the point of trying to get things ready as though she could arrive tomorrow, and planning lots of house cleaning/tidying/sorting out that I'd ideally like to do sooner rather than later, because I think anything that doesn't happen pre-baby is unlikely to get done after she arrives! My parents have been social distancing & are going to come and stay with us for a couple of weeks later in the summer once the baby is here, so they can help, but I want things to look at least semi like husband & I are capable adults who can keep a house together when they do come!

memh · 04/07/2020 19:49

Hey - hope you don't mind me jumping in.

I am due my first little boy this month. Getting induced a week today as he's measuring on the bigger side and I'll be 38 weeks by then.

Likewise my hips/back/inner thighs are killing me. Bubble baths and hot water bottles have been my saviour!

erised24 · 07/07/2020 15:36

38+1 now. Had a midwife appointment today. My blood pressure has gone up so have to go to the hospital on Thursday for a check up. Not really sure what it means? Maybe will end up induced?

She also said baby's head size is "off the chart" which made me feel great....
