@chubbyhotchoc same with the thighs! As you can see from my pic, my thighs are almost taking over the picture! I have gained almost 7lbs now and I’m only 5’2” so I think I’m destined to be on the larger end 😩 my mum only gained a stone in her entire pregnancy with me, so I kind of just thought I would be the same. 🙈

PipTed · 20/06/2020 09:01

@RestorationInsanity oh really. That’s good to know that it’s usual; I alway just thought it would be a solid bump in all states. But what you say makes sense. 😊

RestorationInsanity · 20/06/2020 09:20

Also, at the moment most of bump isn't baby, your uterus only reached your navel by around week 20, everything above that is your other organs that have been pushed up and out to make room, so that stuff will also be a lot squishier. I also read that your bump can become bigger or smaller throughout the day/day to day depending on how much you've eaten and how tired your abdominal muscles get. I know if I've had a day of being up and about a lot my bump looks bigger as I just can't hold it all in!

chubbyhotchoc · 20/06/2020 09:21

@PipTed I read somewhere that your thighs are the primary place you gain fat in pregnancy. I dont think lockdown helps. I'm much less active than normal and there's not that much to do except eat lol

StephRae · 20/06/2020 09:44

@ChampooPapi oh congratulations on your twins also! Wow 3 boys, that’ll be fun when they’re older 😂 My first was a girl, she’s called Celeste 😊 we’ll have our 20 week scan in 2 weeks today, very excited to find out what we’re having!
Also loving all these bump photos ❤️ My bump is already pretty hard but I’m not surprised seeing as there’s 2 in there ha ha

ChampooPapi · 20/06/2020 11:09

@StephRae no we'll have 4 girls! we have two girls who are 10 and 2 and a half, and the twins are both girls. we have the harmony test so found out at ten weeks they were the female of the species. Maybe you'll end up as a girly household too then, or a boy and a girl, that would be lovely Smile

@RunnerGirl123 thank you for updating us, your strength and courageous nature is an inspiration. You and your baby are in all our thoughts lovely

I'm keeping everything crossed for you @Runnergirl123. Hopefully it's not genetic and it's something they can do something about. It's great to hear that the hospital have been so supportive too

Pinktruffle · 20/06/2020 11:24

I've just had a letter through saying that my urine test showed an infection at my 12 week scan - I'm now 17 weeks! The midwife said everything was fine on Tuesday. I've got to ring my GP on Monday to see if they will do anything. I'm not even sure I still have it so I've ordered some home test strips from Amazon. God knows if the GP will test me again

Amyyy1 · 20/06/2020 11:54

@Pinktruffle That was a long time to wait to be told you had a urine infection! Hopefully your body has sorted it out itself earlier on but good idea on the urine strips, I think I might order some too for peace of mind

Amyyy1 · 20/06/2020 11:56

My DP has just come upstairs to tell me he doesn't actually like the baby name we have chosen if it turns out to be a boy. As everyone is convinced the baby is a girl, I think he was just agreeing as he also thought it'd never be a boy but now is panicking incase we find out today otherwise🤣🤣

Pinktruffle · 20/06/2020 12:04

I know, it's ridiculous. Now my husband keeps plying me with drinks as he's read it helps flush it out of your system!
Awww bless him @Amyyy1, do you mind me asking what the name was? I have a bit of a thing about baby names, always the first thing I ask when people have a baby!

StephRae · 20/06/2020 12:12

Yeah have a feeling it’ll be 2 girls as well, there’s a lot of girls in the family. My fiancé is the only boy out of 5 kids and I have 2 sisters 😂

chubbyhotchoc · 20/06/2020 12:28

@Pinktruffle I had quite a few utis with my dd. Your body will fight them off. I've been drinking a glass of cranberry juice with my breakfast and so far haven't had one yet finger crossed 🤞🏻

Amyyy1 · 20/06/2020 12:29

@Pinktruffle It was Henry which I absolutely love the name but as his last name begins with H he hates the thought of alliteration but I thought it sounded lovely together lol 😂

peachypetite · 20/06/2020 12:30

@Pinktruffle that’s appalling!

chubbyhotchoc · 20/06/2020 12:33

@Amyyy1 if it's any consolation there are no less than 4 Henrys in my dd's year one class. I'm not adverse to a bit of alliteration with names though!

Pinktruffle · 20/06/2020 12:38

@peachypetite I know, and they try to claim maternity care hasn't been affected by the virus!
Luckily, I'm not too worried, I think as @chubbyhotchoc said, my body has probably ly already fought it off but it is very poor care.
@Amyyy1 I think Henry is cute and alliteration is great! My surname begins with B so calling the bump baby B..... has been so cute!

Amyyy1 · 20/06/2020 12:43

@chubbyhotchoc Really?! I know no Henry's so I'm glad you have said that. It's so difficult to know what's popular at the time without knowing that many children lol
@Pinktruffle I think alliteration is fab but my partner couldn't think of anything worse🤣

chubbyhotchoc · 20/06/2020 12:54

@Amyyy1 yes we have two in the family as well. My daughter refers to all the Henrys she knows with their second names because there's that many.

lc86 · 20/06/2020 14:06

IT'S A BOY!! She said she's 99% sure as she's not allowed to say she's 100% even though she is 😂 although I had a feeling it was a boy I'm still in shock as thought I'd have another girl. We are over the moon.. can't wait for our gender reveal Monday and to tell his big sisters 💙

Pinktruffle · 20/06/2020 14:34

Congratulations @Ic86! I keep thinking mine is a boy but when I saw my 4D scan it made me think it might be a girl. It's going to be a long wait till November!

@Amyyy1 good luck with your scan today.

StephRae · 20/06/2020 14:49

@Ic86 congratulations! 💙

Amyyy1 · 20/06/2020 15:01

We're having a girl!!!!💖 So so happy! I'm pleased I can call baby she now and not just it 😂

Amyyy1 · 20/06/2020 15:02

@lc86 Congratulations!!! Mine said the same they're 99% sure as they're not allowed to say 100% but then said there's no doubt about it haha
